I find that Marvel's heroes tend to be more flawed and therefore interesting.
also tend to be less godlike in power

Wednesday night Pathfinder
I always kind of preferred brutal vigilantism over superpowers and colorful tight costumes.
Making things in traveller has no goddamn right to be as fun as it is
Seriously who thought rolling on random tables could be great gameplay even before you start doing things
I'm a big fan of the character generation in Traveller, it's like a game in itself.
So I played in a scenario with 1 fighter/hellknight (me), 1 fighter/golden legionaire, 1 barbarian/tribal something, 1 barbarian monk (wrestler 1), 1 barbarian/fighter (wrestler 2). We killed everything that crossed our paths. The Wrestlers used teamwork feats and other bonuses to basically, Trip some one, both op, then op because the target was knocked prone, then full round on the target.
So my DM has made in mandatory for us to create backstories for our characters and two of the most happy-go-lucky people in our group shatter our worldviews with the darkest backstories I've ever seen from a D&D character.

[sp]But it's okay because one of them is cliche and incorporates a self-inserted version of a scene from SAW.[/sp]
Y'all don't know what you're talkin' 'bout when it comes ta supaheroes.

That is 99.99% correct.

Have some beautiful artwork from my DM.
I need to get a battlemat.
Ask him where he got that dragon figure.
It's so lifelike!
New campaign, 4 people that don't know each other got same letters that lead the to a festival.
Festival has many activities, like knight battle, archery, dancing, drinking contest, pickpocket contest and wall staring contest.
Monk aint fit for any of this shit so he goes do the shittiest aka the Wall staring contest.
DM says Roll 3d3 +1
(1 / 1 / 1 + 1)
He gets a seizure and falls over. Such is life.

A d3? Why a d3?
Every activity gave gold depending how good you do, the wall starting contest gave you gold for little efort, that is as much money as you rolled, well in this case 0 due to the lack of being able to stare at a wall

Oh ok. Why was there even a wall staring contest?
For people who didnt stand a chance in anything else i guess
no magic contest 0/10 would not play

Not bad.
The first dragon I had to fight was a young red dragon that was represented by a coke can.

I would think that a monk would be a good dancer even if his dance would actually be martial arts
I'd have tried it on the off chance that you became the lord of dance

Or throw vegetables at the village idiot/witch/orc
Or arm wrestling.
Not bad.

did you beat the coke?
Was his hoard made up of yellow LEGO blocks and plastic gemstones?
Once had to represent a hydra using a squirrel plush doll and bits string weighted down by decorative stones to represent the heads.
No one took the rest of the campaign seriously after that.
Anyone got ANY (non WH40k) game with an open spot? I've got a fever and the precription is roleplaying.
Also, any way to have a monk who's also semi-decent at the spellcasting milarky in D&D/Pathfinder?
So I just played my first session as a Samurai last night. I challenged (That's an actual mechanic for Samurais) an orc we were fighting to a duel to the death and beheaded him with one swing. Shit was beyond cash.
