I am joining a Pathfinder Society game this Sunday at a local games shop. They said I could come in and they would teach me how to play etc. They never said I would need to buy anything but I never asked. Will I?

D20, d4, d6, and d8, d10 (or two), and a d12.
Dice, at the very least. D20, d4, d6, and d8, d10 (or two), and a d12.
I would think they would have plenty of dice to pass around.
I would think they would have plenty of dice to pass around.
Do you pass around your babies?
Do you pass around your babies?
No but I would think they have public dice, they have public events like every month for different D20 games.

Otherwise, are you seriously that worried about losing a die worth like 20 cents? Or even a dollar? Get some cheap dice and be a cool person and lend them to people.
Don't be lame like everyone else and get cheapo dice. You gotta roll with style!

Got dice though and I don't have a local place to get them, so if I lose them, I'm at the mercy of the post service and Amazon.

But I think there's really no excuse for ONLY having a single set of cool dice. I mean, the pictured set is like $80. I really doubt you are going to just decide one day to start playing D20 and instantly splurge on an $80 set. You will get a cheaper set, and then work your way up. Logically you should always have some extra dice to either use, or loan people.

It was more of a joke than anything; you'd have to pay me to use those dice. The numbers lack any vivid highlighting which will make them a complete bitch to see from a distance, especially if you're playing in a darker setting. I can imagine forgetting about those spike bits will end up with some cursing eventually, too.
Eclipse Phase is amaaaaaaaaazing.
Anything particularly interesting or fun about it? How fast paced was your session and how was the DM style of it? I'm really interested in running a game of that.
[t]http://puu.sh/2tqlk[/t] Behold my horrible attempt to copy this map of Varisia. (It was so shitty that roll20 refused to let it work and I had to just upload the linked map image instead.) [editline]3rd April 2013[/editline] The sun was a joke with one of my players because it looks like the whole thing was drawn by a child.

[t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5636656/4237_1_big.jpg[/t] What the fuck is this.
What the fuck is this.
An nth sided dice clearly.
And this http://www.thediceshoponline.com/dice/1011/GameScience-7-Sided-D7-Dice-Black
[t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5636656/4237_1_big.jpg[/t] What the fuck is this.
I think it might be a 7 in one die. [editline]4th April 2013[/editline] It looks like you've got outputs for a D3, D4, D6, D8, D10, D12 and D20.
This site has a couple of cheap but cool dice sets, actually, classy.
I would buy some nicely machined steel dice.

Trying to put together some sort of undead city for players to explore in Pathfinder, was looking at undead. Dear lord, how is a Wight CR 3? If they hit you, you get -1 to basically every roll in the game for 24 hours, no save when it happens. It also reduces your current and total health by 5. When that 24 hours is up, you have to make a save of DC 14. If you fail, those negatives become permanent. It also has a decent health pool, AND gains 5 health when it hits with an attack. Fucking terrifying.

You guys do realise that the next thread has to be V. 3.5
This thread makes me feel like such a shitty DM. I've never made my own monsters and I need to write all the story elements down before a session, I can't do improv at all; the last time I improvised my party got killed by a werewolf lord How to become a good DM?
When I'm GMing, I think about what'd be cool for a player. I know my players, and I know what they like. If every session could feature a little bit of what each player likes, I'd say it's a good session. Never nail down your plot too tightly, because it'll buckle and break if the player so much as looks at it. I normally try to have several reasons for something happening, and if the players don't do enough to have something happen (they don't help an NPC, they're wanted criminals and won't be able to attend the event), I have an alternative to hand that I can hand-wave. Be vague enough that you can get away with faffing about a bit, but tight enough to keep the players wrapped up in your story. Also, Werewolves are fucking cool as shit. Have more Werewolves, maybe the barons sister has been bitten by one? If you're at a loss, add a werewolf. Trust me. And, while I'm automerged; If anyone here has any experience with World of Darkness; Mummy the ********, do you have any tips on making it actually threatening? I'm running a freeform Hunter the Vigil game for Uni mates, and there's a large healthcare corporation run by a triage of Shamans who are working to rebirth a Mummy. Are all mummies inherently inclined towards world domination or will he be content to lay in a cot and be told what's happened since the battle of Waterloo when he was last awake?

I always tailor my campaigns to my players which makes thing MUCH more enjoyable for all of us.
Woo, it's D&D night again
