Through various bonuses, I managed to get a result of 71 on a stealth check in Pathfinder. The rest of the party wasn't sure if my character was still around until I stabbed a guy :v:

So I was wanting to make a Wizard that focused in Necromancy/Undead, and I was wondering what I should choose as my prohibited schools. I'm trying to make him become a Lich.

Permanency is so fun when you're using gp-for-xp substitute costs. Especially when through various shenanigans we have a dude on our barge who's happy to give me a discount on those abstracted components. four thousand gold for eternal magic detection and +1 to all of my saves? Not a bad deal at all.
Permanency is extremely cheap- In Pathfinder it doesn't have an XP cost at all. The only thing you need to watch out for though is someone with dispel magic- It hurts a lot more when you've invested 20,000 gold into the enchantments.
I just got a 3 + 16 on an intimidate check on a shop owner which somehow failed and he called the guards, though my friend bluffed them and calmed the situation. After a while of 'bartering' he raised the price of the item and I intimidated again. Rolled a natural 20 + 16 of my intimidate skill and the DM tried bullshitting his way out of it saying that he would tell the guards again. Luckily I spoke him out if it, since you can't not be shit scared not only after a natural 20 but 36 total...
Intimidate is my least favourite skill because of the number of dumb players I've run into who take it as their only social skill and want to use it in every conversation.
It's my only skill really since I'm a 7.1ft Orc with 8 INT I don't use it all the time though, I'm quite passive until I want something.
In a warmup Shadowrun session, I successfully managed to convince the senator we were data hacking that everything was a dream and ended up playing to his BDSM fetish about Agent Smith. The information I bluffed out of him was the information we were data hacking out of him in the first place.
Yeah, I mean people who use it on every other NPC when they've got +5 in it and no clear way to gain from pissing people off, while other party members are rocking +10 or more in all the social skills.

So am I the only one who thinks a handy haversack should probably cost a lot more money, but is glad it doesn't? I never get bags of holding or portable holes, I just get a haversack and call it a day.
Muleback cords too, and that thing that gives a constant anthaul spell.
Muleback cords too, and that thing that gives a constant anthaul spell.
I usually slap those two things together in the same slot. :v:
Friend of mine is running two pathfinder games back to back, one is an adventure path and the other is some homebrew setting of his. This is at the college, from 12:00pm to 9:00pm. Back to back. Did I mention said friend has a tight work schedule and is having a rough time of it lately both physically and mentally, and not just from work? Goddamnit friend give up that time slot I want to run Numenera. All these bitch ass niggas in this entire state of Rhode Island want to either play D&D, Mathfinder or some stupid untested homebrew system that is a rehash of 3.5 or some Warhammer 40k bullshit. The only exception is 3 cool dudes and 1 cool dudette that expressed interest in Numenera at my college and want to play, and only the timeslot my friend is taking up is best for all of us. I don't wish ill on my friend's GM'ing but I sincerely hope he realizes soon enough the strain of running two games back to back and gives me a time slot. PF takes a shit load of preparation, especially if you're doing a campaign entirely on your own and not using an adventure path.
Song of Ice and Fire tomorrow night woop woop Looking forward to GMing it, will let you all know what I think of the system after.
Song of Ice and Fire tomorrow night woop woop Looking forward to GMing it, will let you all know what I think of the system after.
and then the whole party was killed 5 minutes in because someone insulted the lord of the house

Currently GM'ing a campaign and while I'm still getting a grip on everything, I love it. The setting is awesome and the mechanics are pleasant.

Mostly because I found it in a dragon's hoard.
