I might be running a Shadowrun campaign in the summer.
If you're doing a facepunch Shadowrun campaign I'd love to take part. I've been dying to play Shadowrun for awhile now.
Also Fifth edition is coming out this summer.
I convinced Hellsoldier to do 3rd Edition tho because 4e really kills the setting also wireless is silly

whoops no looks like it's 4e cause Chummer doesn't support anything else :v:

Count me in too!
Summary of my first game as a DM: The group really wanted to start but 1 of the 5 players was afk so I'm just gonna retroactively give him the XP/some of the gold they earned next time we play, the entire group kept trying to roll perception checks to even glance at everything, our half-orc fighter hurt his wrist trying to swing his greataxe at an orc, and then carried a podium over to a window and failed trying to smash the window with it.
And also the pathfinderogc died between the orcs and the second encounter they had so I had to scramble to try and remember some stuff.
I thought I could at least do SOMETHING to show my strength. The window defeated me..

I'd like to join in too if you're willing to take someone who is new to the genre.

I would love to join as well. I have had some experience playing D&D, but have only played about four sessions altogether.

Also is the steam group in the OP still active?
I'm seriously considering running Eclipse Phase instead. The settings seems a lot more compelling and horrifying. To quote Hats, it's like Dead Space the PnP RPG [and more].

That sounds pretty good as well, I just want to get into a group and have some fun.

I had honestly kind of hoped you would succeed since I'd planned for someone to try and break the window/jump out of it and tried to figure the perception DC for hearing a window break, for the zombies' sakes.

Too complicated, I prefer our plan of just using the front door and (re)killing everything we see.
I acted like a bumbling newbie.
Does anyone want to start a Pathfinder/Warhammer Fantasy RP group? I can GM either.

Bumbling newbies are the best kind of newbies.

Settled on Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. 2 players already signed up.
Confirming that I'm going to be running an Eclipse Phase session and accepting players.
A brief summary is that it's a trans-humanist PnP RPG that takes place in the future after most of humanity and Earth was destroyed by a group of AI which have now mysteriously vanished, the TITANs. Common themes of this game revolve around conspiracy, horror, and existentialism. This system is really good for making stories which make you think and make sure your decisions count.
The sessions will be based on the EST timezone and can occur any day of the week dependent on the players and their schedules. The sessions will begin the week of April 21 after all of my exams have been completed.
Everyone who is interested in attending, even those who have already talked to me over steam, please PM me with some basic information in the following form. After I've narrowed down the player base to the most compatible group of people (timezone and schedule-wise) then I'll determine what kind of campaign we'll be going for.

I've found it incredibly difficult to get people organized properly without a unified way of inputting information so excuse me for the OCD but filling this out would really help me out and determine which people I should get in the session.
We'll probably play over roll20 and use on VOIP program of some sort to communicate.
Thanks, can't wait to get started!

Holy crap, reading up on Eclipse Phase... it's complicated but badass.
thinking is hard though
The description of Pleasure Pods makes me laugh.
im sure you're not gonna ask me to fill out a forum because you already know my info and whatnot
Playing an AGI Informorph sounds awesome. I think I might look at rolling one up even if it's just to figure out character creation

You guys make the game sound awesome.
The worst/best part of Eclipse Phase is how the GM gets to play none of it but rather shapes your experience. I hope I get someone else to GM but I'd love to just interact with this game at all. I've always wanted to play it and it just seems really overlooked even though it's totally badass.
gm's shouldn't play in any setting really
shit's lame as hell cause they know everything that's coming
the GM gets to play none of it but rather shapes your experience.
This is literally the definition of GM.
shit's lame as hell cause they know everything that's coming
I don't.
Because I don't plan ahead.
So I just tried writing up a character sheet for Eclipse Phase and I was wondering if anyone with a little more experience with the system could just skim over it to see if there's any glaring ommissions aside from the name, faction and backstory?

If any of you guys enjoy playing games based on DnD, gog.com is having a deal where the more games you buy (DnD based) the greater the discount, there's ten games in total which would usually cost above 100 dollars together and you can get them all for 21 dollars (DRM free in case you don't know gog).
Games are: Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition, Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete Edition, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale Complete, Icewind Dale II Complete, Baldur's Gate The Original Saga, Baldur's Gate II Complete, D&D Dragonshard, Forgotten Realms Demon Stone and The Temple of Elemental Evil.
Bought it a few hours ago myself (minus the NWN series, already have them). Lots of classics there, well worth the price.
aw shit that's a pretty good deal, i've been meaning to get NWN2 again because i lost my old CD
Too bad Demonstone is fucking horrendeous.
Dragonshard isn't that great either imo.
