Speaking of gear, what's some useful items to get if you're going into a level 7 campaign (Pathfinder) with 27.5k gold to work with? I've literally never had to deal with that much dosh starting off in a campaign, so I'm kinda at a loss (if it's any help, I'm planning on either going Fighter or Barbarian.)
magic fucking items make your own or buy one
This is known, only issue is there's like a metric ton of magic items out there, and some with multiple variations depending on what enchantment you get. I figure enchanted (+2 methinks) armor, a +1 weapon, Ring of Protection+Amulet of Natural Armor and a Cloak of Resistance would be a good start?
I wish I had 27k gold in pathfinder I've got all these item creation feats that I'm never going to get to use at our current rate of pay but seriously, look through the wonderous items list. There's somebodies marvelous pigments or whatever, which basically let you paint in any mundane gear or object into the environment. They're awesome. I'm also a huge fan of sovereign glue

I want to show off my guy's perfectly sculpted, daringly hairy, woad-painted body. I'm this close to getting the viking archetype as well, but I'm kinda hesitant because the filthy powergamer in me says it's awful.

Our Deadlands gm told us it's a meatgrinder of a game, I'm slightly worried it's gonna look like that after a session or two
That's whatcha get for playing a John Wick game :v: (unless it's Cat)
We've been playing nearly a year now, and I've been keeping track of how long we go without somebody dying. One of these days I'm gonna use that second digit.
So I panicked last session when I was giving out treasure to one of my players, and I told him he found a teal orb about the size of a palantir. I have no idea what to do with the thing, any thoughts/ideas? They're all lvl 6 in 3.5.
Current situation on the Only War campaign. Currently my party consists of a psychotic heavy gunner, a cocky storm trooper, a medic with a death wish, a steely sergeant, a sensible weapon specialist, and a newbie enginseer. They're currently either facing Severan Dominate forces or Ork forces. Which should I choose...

I suggest something like the following; Acid Splash At Will Corrosive Touch CL 5 2x /Day Acid Arrow CL 5 1x /Day
Why not both?
Well, there we go. What should they face first? Im thinking Severan Dominate just to surprise them when massive fucking orks come plowing through.

Although I still like how the only thing of any monetary value I gave you last session was a golden amulet with a picture of the guy you got it from and his daughter inside. It had more emotional value than anything. :v:

I try to set up a Pathfinder game, realize I'm not into PF as a DM and Friend A who's in the group suggests Shadowrun instead. Then two other players, sisters, vehemently reject any game that has technology in it. Medieval fantasy only. Another player insists on playing a damnable race. Then sisters have feud with Friend A who is dating one of them and argues about stuff involving the US military and careers and stuff. I try to join an Eclipse Phase game on a play-by-post forum. No bio-chauvinists, no bioconservatives, your character (and you) must be entirely accepting of transhuman ideals and philosophies. And if you're from the inner system you must not be a hyperelite, because they are all dicks. I abandon this game shortly after making a Lunar character who has slight bioconservative attitudes is banned by the GM ("doesn't matter whether you're from the Jovian Republic or Luna, biocons are all bigoted assholes and not allowed in my game"). After the abort of the last Eclipse Phase game of people from Facepunch, I have come to the conclusion that I will never successfully run a game online or participate in one, and need to stick to my friends at the college, all of whom are obsessed with Pathfinder or Warhammer 40k RPG. Rock and a hard place...

It literally cannot be moved when activated by a word or phrase, if you held it up when you say it, it will just float.

During a particularly important battle or op just have an Ork Rok hit followed by a WAAAAAAGH! New objective is to escape the green tide.

Does anyone know if there are Editable PDFs of Mekton Zeta Charsheets somewhere out there on the internet?

So my party wants a boat to go sail the high seas. I'm looking at the rules for it right now, and it all seems very straightforward, but there doesn't seem to be anything between a raft or canoe and a large ten-person-crew ship. Problem is, the party is three or sometimes four people. I could homebrew something that can run with just three people, but I suspect there's a reason why it normally needs a larger crew. Would it be better to just let them hire a crew? If so, what's the standard pay for crew members - 1gp/week?

Just go to the nearest tavern and press-gang some poor sods like a real pirate would.
