Rogue died, got my money back.
tbh stuff like that can be better for a more serious game, especially if the players just dick around every session and crit like mad. Cyberpunk does the whole danger thing really well though. Players rarely get hit but when we do, we get fucked hard. In the second session one player got his leg blown to pieces and had to get it replaced with a synthetic one. The only other time we were in any danger was when we got mowed down by a girl with an automatic shotgun. One of us got seriously injured and I was one point away from dying. Stuff like that doesn't happen very often but when it does, shit gets interesting.
Getting my leg shot off was a win-win for me. I got bonus Empathy points so I didn't go completely cyberpsycho because of a new leg, and my new leg has a missile launcher in it. I see no downsides.

Ahahahahm... I still haven't taken my Numenera from the plastic bubble wrapper...
Oh boy, I can't wait until my session tonight. So I figured out how I'm gonna make this Deck of Many Things campaign work out. I'm basically going to offer a card/plaque every once in a while, and depending on who picks it up, I have a card/plaque already planned for them. That way there's no drastically unfair shit and everything goes according to plan. [editline]23rd November 2013[/editline] Also I'm homebrewing most of the card/plaque effects. -10,000 exp is just too mean.

Any good, well-known modules/campaigns for Neverwinter Nights 2?

So I finished this session of Deck of Many Things Z. The Alchemist of the group drew the plaque this time, yielding [sp]imo[/sp] the most interesting result. The card the Alchemist drew was "The Pit." This created an infinitely deep roguelike dungeon in the courtyard of the Fighter's keep that he got last session from The Throne card. [editline]23rd November 2013[/editline] They bravely went in, were confronted with three different doors with different encounters and treasure in each one. They chose the green thorny one and wound up fighting angry VegePygmies.
So I've handed GM duties over to one of my other players for a session. It seems to be going a bit poorly. First, one of the players got angry over something stupid (a group of NPCs that acted kind of dumb) and was obnoxious for the first few hours, enough to annoy one player into quitting. Partially the DM's fault for making stupid NPCs, but mostly her fault for being annoying. Not much you can do about that. Second, he handed out new characters for everyone to play. The characters themselves are pretty nice, no complaints there, actually better than their regular characters, but he gave each player *two*, and this group is five players. So that's nine first-level and one second-level characters in the game. That not only makes combat a mess (too many initiatives to keep track of, even after I taught him the trick of having identical NPCs use a single initiative roll), but it screws up his challenge ratings. He bumped us up to a CR10 encounter (a CR5 Green Hag and three CR2 Boggards) specifically to try to kill off some characters, and only two even hit Dying, both healed basically instantly by the two clerics or the paladin. We've completely broken the game - by being some fairly minmaxed characters, and by sheer numbers, we're shrugging off attacks well beyond our level without even breaking into our stash of potions. Still, it was quite funny when he was describing a mysterious fire and I pretty much instantly called it as being a Fire Elemental. The look on his face was worth the immediate attack - and wiping it out with only one character taking any damage was even better.
Sounds like a rookie. Needs more practice.
Sounds like a rookie. Needs more practice.
It's his first time running a game in over twenty years. I'm not too concerned.
fuck yeah, taser bats
it is severely lacking in rocket artillery [editline]24th November 2013[/editline] Cyberpunk: Session 10: 100% Pure Loot http://pastebin.com/h8fmUVD7 title says it all, but Ciaster said he was gonna start doing the writeups for the sessions, so I suppose ask him if you want more details :v: but don't fret, citizens! Next week (assuming we play) we've got a concrete plan that is sure to liven things up.
