If only half the shit in that Chick Track was true D&D would be, like, the coolest shit ever and super popular.
Ravenloft is mostly based in AD&D (which IS 2nd edition Dungeons and Dragons)
Could certainly use another player, there's 4 total and one is dead. The current situation is probably going to result in a party wipe, or at least another few dying unless they are very careful.
I'll see if I can get home by Sunday, if not, expect definitely on Monday for me to be ready.

Save or die traps with no save

The player is obviously a whiny special snowflake. Motion to save suppressed.

Sounds like AD&D to me.

Sorceror or Bard, which is better to solo Neverwinter Nights 2?

Bard for those party buffs
I'm assuming you're planning on combining with Red Dragon Disciple. I ran a Bard/Barbarian/Red Dragon Disciple and got through the campaign pretty easily.
For my college DnD 3.5 game, I'm going to play a dashing, Errol Flynn type, rogue, with a bandana and rapier. Any other thoughts as to what I should do?

DM: Goddamn fuckers what are you doing just reroll your character. And shut the fuck up Suzie, you always take these games too seriously. Goddamn son.

Dan's quote hits the nail on the head. Also, Brick's guest appearance, a sick ass drive-by set to Cypress Hill's How Could I Kill A Man (where Entropy actually hangs out of the window with his magnum and shoots some putos), and a lot, lot of off-topic chat. And facechat. Seriously, Ryan's mug looks funny.
So I decided to order a roll of graph paper 36" wide so I could make maps and whatnot (I like drawing them, but it's a waste of time on battle mats, and you can't leave them on there for long). Only now that it ships do I realize that 200 feet of paper is a lot.
I am never going to use this much paper.

Learn origami
Make yourself paper minis for all your games
Or I could use it to make a single map that's just a 2 mile long road.

I mean the most self-sufficient character class.
I mean the most self-sufficient character class.
definitely not bard then
A sorcerer with a couple summons is fairly self sufficient, although you'll want to stock up on healing potions and knock scrolls at every opportunity to make up for the lack of a healer and a rogue.
And watch out for traps because you have pretty much no way to deal with them on your own.
On a completely unrelated note why do you want to solo it, the companions in that campaign are great.
I mean the most self-sufficient character class.
Bard still works because you get buffed by your own song. You also get magical buffs as you gain levels and having speech skills is handy for the campaign.

So Bard over Sorceror? Or what about Rogue?
So Bard over Sorceror? Or what about Rogue?
rogue is shitty
dont pick rogue
[editline]1st December 2013[/editline]
you get so many party members who have the knowledge to pick locks that you're much better off picking a class that functions on its own suitably
i like sorcs cause they get nasty ass summons but rangers (???) are p. good too for that, while also dealing direct damage
So Bard over Sorceror? Or what about Rogue?
Out of those 3 choices sorcs are by far the best when it comes to self sufficiency.
Rogues suck without someone to set up flanks for them, and Bards are the most chummy class in the game

But Bards have more class skills and better melee potential.

Like I told everyone, that picture was taken when Roll 20 turned on my webcam for no reason and I was stoned (which I am for about 50% of my games, do the drink and snack breaks make sense now :v:)
But yes, since you're linking to it, might as well share not only mine, but Ciaster's face.
But Bards have more class skills and better melee potential.
Other than social skills, pretty much all skills in NWN suck, and while Bards are better at melee than sorcs, they still suck at it, and sorcs can easily summon monsters to do the melee for them.
Ciaster looks like how I envision every facepunch user.
oh god Ciaster you're beautiful
So Bard over Sorceror? Or what about Rogue?
Rogues suffer in Neverwinter Nights 2's main quest because the vast majority of opponents you fight are undead and therefore immune to sneak attacks.
Just bring Neeshka along to pick locks and disarm traps.
DnD should turn into the Pictures of You thread.
Only if they're related. LARP is related, right guise?
