Once you exhale your fright, the only thing that stays in is might.
But speaking of scary stuff, do you know what just got out?

That's right! The barely teased, way too delayed, and still partially unfinished S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-Metro 1d100 Homebrew Tabletop Roleplaying System has finally been made playable, ironed out, and published by your's truly, along with help from some good friends. Don't forget to click this flashy text to make all your stalking desires become real.
This is the first, preferably-limited-to-although-can-be-spread-outside-of-this-community test version primarily made to attract young stalkers and rangers of all shapes, sizes, and capabilities willing to set their unduly sights out into the deadly lands of the unexpected and imaginative, expanded past while still keeping true to the standards set by the series it is so inspired after!
Feature list includes:
-A quick and swift creation tutorial to fulfill all your hopes and desires, all on an Excel Sheet!
-Character fluff and crunch! Deploy all sorts of interesting characteristics to make your criminal smuggler/savior of the Metro all the more three-dimensional! All on an Excel Sheet!
-Guidelines explaining things people usually get confused about! All lined up on an Excel Sheet!
-Character Sheet design totally not hijacked and refurbished from Eclipse Phase and Spycraft! All on an Excel Sheet!
-All actions and checks available are explained on their own Excel Sheet!
-Over 120 items and goods of various use listed on an Excel Sheet! Don't forget to spend your bullets and rubles!
-Over 1000 lines dedicated to weapons and protective gear! Stock up and get killing!
-Guns that break!
-Guns that don't break!
-Impractical guns!
-Anomalies and artifacts statted, all with their special characteristics, descriptions, and even an Excel Sheet!
What is to come:
-Actual mods and attachment installation system! Hopefully in their very own Excel Sheet.
-NPCs and Mutants, along with their equipment data and stats.
-Extra fluff, perhaps some maps to fit your comfort, too.
Don't forget to snoop about and send user requests and critique over to your's truly, 'cause the more people talk of it, the more I can perfect it. I also need folks for the first official test campaign run, and at least one person that would cooperate with me on designing the system.
That's all for now, but there's more to come in the future!
You had me at Excel sheet
You had me at Excel sheet
pffth everyone knows .pdfs are universally superior
what are you, some kinda weirdo?
I was considering making a .pdf design.
Then I tried to make a .pdf and ended up getting completely lost.
now why should i use this over the near perfect diceless stalker system???
Also that character sheet is all over the place. I can make a different character sheet separate from the excel everything if you want.
I have made some pretty pro sheets in the past
now why should i use this over the near perfect diceless stalker system???
because rolling dice is fun
now why should i use this over the near perfect diceless stalker system???
Because this one actually takes place in the universes of the two games, doesn't center itself on improvisation, and can actually be found outside of like four countries? :v:

Also the piled up page design is like that because I decided to display everything as fully as possible, with all information displayed besides it. This worked alright for some sheets, but it either needs a good tutorial or a redesign that everyone would understand.
Speaking of homebrew, ran another Coastlines and Kaiju playtest a few nights ago. No battle log this time, the quirk of this test was that the players weren't as invested as previous batches and didn't do anything cool.
Balance question: how does a boring fight play out? Answer: The jaeger pulled through and won, but it was close and they lost an arm.
I am satisfied with that.
Also speaking of homebrew games, the one I'm working on would go a hell of a lot faster if I wasn't constantly scrapping and redoing game systems. I think I've finally nailed down the classes and subclasses though, on my (IIRC) third redo. I'm pretty sure at least the list of classes is finalized - I'll probably keep tweaking specifics, but the list won't change.
Unfortunately that's triggering a rewrite of the gods rules (since now only paladins, priest(ess)s, companions and guardians need to pick a god, instead of everyone picking seven), which is good because that whole system was pretty much broken anyways (see: everyone picks seven, wth did I think that was a good idea), but it's still more work to do again.

I might actually use this. I haven't run anything other than D&D since I started playing RPGs years ago. I'll try to do this Friday night.
I have a friend working on his own game/system. I'll ask if he'd be interested in collaborating or something. Sounds like it'd be a good experience.
It was also the WAYT thread, and I'm not even sure how you go "offtopic" there.

Where did this page come from?
I know i'm late to the party, but my advice for female characters: play like you would normally. In the Fallout session (The one that didn't get FUBAR'D, not Chicago or Aloha Smoothskin) after a time skip I played the (adopted) daughter of my character. I actually ended up liking her more than the original 'cause she was a really good character.
And no Disco she's not a lesbian.

The Lady (Fallout version) would probably have bitter memories of her adopted father anyway, assuming he was at Chicago.
