Prelude to the FINAL BATTLE in AdEva
Three Evas versus 9 Mass Production Evas and one prototype evangelion with the Lance of Longinus, and then meanwhile we've got this great big giant Eva-like-thing lurking in the background, which is the thing the angels have been fighting to get the ENTIRE CAMPAIGN, which may or may not activate at any moment and cause the third impact, and which has been attacked by angels repeatedly for the past few months and somehow not been destroyed despite having only aforementioned prototype eva defending it
Also we literally flipped off every conspiracy and group in the plot to get to this fight, so god knows if we're going to get hit with even more shit because of this, and basically all of our support structure is gone save four guys and a supercomputer
But regardless of how fucked we are, it's sure going to be one hell of a fight
So we played Fiasco. Our game used the Dragon Slayers playset and we each assumed roles in a barbarian kingdom, all revolving around me, King Thüd Hammersmash. In service to him theres Gilly, the halfling bounty hunter, and his slave wife, who he just calls Wife-woman, but probably has a name. Trying to overthrow him is Düht Hammerslam, his older, weaker, smarter, drunker brother, and Arthur, the sentient spear.
Thüd is basically every barbarian turned up to 100, and you'll fucking see why.
We begin with Gilly trying to capture Düht and his escaped wife for Thüd, where Gilly does not end up trying to capture them, do to Arthur being told that they must find the one known as Aili (the wife) and making her present the spear to Düht.
While this flowery shit is happening, Thüd goes out, captures Düht, and brings him back, where Thüd, upon being questioned of his legitimacy to the throne, punches Düht's dick repeatedly, making him infertile. After this Düht challenges Thüd to a duel, but Thüd easily cuts his arm off.
After releasing Düht, the others find him and Aili ends up figuring out that the spear becomes a transformed magical (still sentient) arm for Düht. Düht rushes inside to confront his brother, tossing off the guards and deflecting the evil wizards spell.
He rushes up to Thüd, where due to the two brothers being so close, the third brother appears from the soul of the Arm, the rightful brother. As the two brothers close in Thüd, the terrified barbarian... I'm just fucking with you Thüd kills both of them with his sword, and goes back to enslaving the other people involved in the plot.
However... unbeknownst to Thüd, his sword has trapped the essence of the third brother, who now tricks Thüd into believing he is Thüd's god, [U]Greater[/U] Thüd. He tells thud that he must journey to find source of incarnation in order to bring this power into existence, when really this is just a ploy to get Thüd to leave the castle forever and leave a fitting ruler to govern.
Thüd journeys forth on his epic quest where in just five days he unwittingly discovers the source of eternal life. So now he's immortal. And then he reincarnates the brother in about a few days, where he kills him instantly.
When he comes back and sees that Gilly and Aili were having a lesbian affair, he makes them immortal, cuts their arms and limbs off and has his way with them forever.
Moral of the story, don't not be Thüd.

I thought some of you fellas might be interested in this - there's a new edition of the D6 microlite sci-fi RPG Rogue Space coming out. [url]http://roguespacerpg.blogspot.com/[/url]
Essentially, it's a rules-minimal sci-fi system which allows users to quickly jump into storytelling without focusing too hard on numbers-crunching or a spectrum of calculated mechanics. Most actions are centralized into the standard character stats section, and the DM makes further calls from there.
There's two separate versions - a "pocket PDF" which folds up into squares, or a full-sized rule version that further fleshes out game mechanics. According to the current table of contents, the new edition has about 50 pages worth of rules and 44 worth of resources for building adventures.
I highly recommend it if you're really interested in sitting down with newcomers or players that like the roleplay side of tabletop RPG. It has a bit of a niche playerbase, but it's highly acclaimed for being incredibly easy to hack for any sci-fi/futuristic setting. I'm using a Mass Effect hack, for instance, which mostly retools the universe and implements races for ME.

Basically, they make lots of little changes to make 4e better. From what I hear, if you like 4e, you'll like next, if you don't, you won't.
