Man I wanna play Shadowrun. I've got some of the books for 4th Edition, but haven't gone through them. If anyone familiar with the game decides to run it, pass it along to me. Would love to get into it.
I'd like to run (or play) a game of either Shadowrun or M&M some time soon. Not sure if it's actually going to happen though, my schedule is pretty packed already.
I was in forbidden planet today and they had the shadowrun book, I was very tempted
The Alignments don't fit correctly Deity doesn't fit Race isnt big enough you need the armor to replace the movement speed, I have full plate but my speed is still 30 http://gyazo.com/ac058b706526ec438394f233287569b0 not big enough [editline]13th January 2014[/editline] I put race as Half-Orc and it's counting me as a Halfing. [editline]13th January 2014[/editline] it gave me orcish language but my racial skills are those of a halfling
Thanks, I forgot that locking the sheet would disallow players from resizing the columns v:v:v And I fixed the half-orc with halfling traits thing. Excel has this issue with lookup() where if the array isn't sorted, it has issues. And I'll code a feature where heavier armour impacts move speed automatically.
Someone wanna run M&M, because that shit would be bomb.
Someone wanna run M&M, because that shit would be bomb.
If we can find a time where we can both be there, i'm up for it. But we're in radically different timezones, so that probably won't be easy.
I want in on any potential M&M action here, so long as Elly-Welly doesn't play his old tricks of ignoring a player for a half-hour and just being trasnparant of how little he gave a care. And introducing a new player every session.
Where can I look up source for M&M? How hard's it to pick up?
way overblowing it
This is disco we're talking about here, if he wasn't overblowing it, it would be someone else. But I'd be down if it was like, anytime after 5 AST.
wait, do you mean 5 AM or 5 PM?
PM, so like, 10 PM your time.
PM, so like, 10 PM your time.
Thought as much, felt like I had to ask though, i've known people with stranger sleeping habits. How about around midnight on saturdays my time, so like 7 PM for you?
Is this the DiscoInferno who constantly posts about how she's a lesbian man-hater or a different DiscoInferno we have laying around?
But but we get along so well. The worst game I ever ran began with 10 minutes of one the players buying paper. It devolved from there.
Thought as much, felt like I had to ask though, i've known people with stranger sleeping habits. How about around midnight on saturdays my time, so like 7 PM for you?
That could work actually.
my travelling pack has a set of dice in it how annoying of me would it be, once my bow attacks are simple actions, to roll for rolling my dice to see if my shot is going to be any good before actually rolling for it

Hoo boy, here we go. I've got about 10 sessions worth of logs, most with multiple chats that need organizing, queued up and waiting for me to give them some love and summaries. Guess it's time to get to work. I'm basically our group's scribe at this point. Don't know how I feel about that. For now, I'll start with the one that doesn't have any private chats and is all in once nice copy-pasted clean log. Let the giant robots begin. Mekton: Episode 8: Circuts and Cogs http://pastebin.com/maP9jXj7
GM finally got his laptop back from India or wherever it was sent to for repairs, hence why this game comes about a solid month after our previous one. We begin by following the scouts of the Clockwork Kingdom out of the junktown we found ourselves in. Cedric's new ladyfriend, whose brother offed himself courtesy of Bishop's incalculable brilliance and who was trying to kill us because his sister got fucked, was riding shotgun in Cedric's mecha's cockpit with him. The scouts take us to a massive canyon made of junked cars, when some robotic tentacles emerge from the ground and start attacking us. They get wrecked and I don't think any of us actually got hit. A female voice over a loudspeaker starts talking to us, and we discover that this voice is none other than the Mechromancer. Turns out either she's either a good liar or she's actually not a massive cunt like the Clockwork Kingdom people want us to believe. The Mechromancer kindly informs us that we're approaching her turf and not that of the Kingdom's. Some back and forth dialogue and we discover that the fragment of our ship which we believed still had people on it, which she took, actually didn't have any life on it. This confuses us, and the Mechromancer offers to let us look inside if we do her a favor. Her current body is malfunctioning and needs to be swapped for a new one, a process which requires an outside influence and which she can't do herself. Before we ask the specifics, I question our "guides," the scouts of the Kingdom, as to why they led us to the Mechromancer and not to the Kingdom like we requested. They don't have an answer, and fly off with their rocket engine-sized mecha jetpacks like little bitches because they can't handle my coolness and honor.
Welp, that's one down. Seven logs to go, all Magical Burst, and all with multiple separate logs that need fixing. :suicide:

Uhh... I dunno... weird I guess. How weird would it be if I rolled charisma when I should roll wisdom. Pretty weird huh guys? Right guys?
I'm intrigued as to what you said about a lot of fights being decided by who strikes first. Does that mean that characters that specialise in Iajutsu have something of an advantage? I'm not overly familiar with the mechanic but it seems that if you focus on it a fair amount along with Kenjutsu you can really spec yourself to reliably strike first in combat.
It kind of depends. There's a way to sort of counteract it, which is to just have high Earth and endure the first strike. (Which is what I've been doing, but somehow I'm really lucky and people just fail to hit my armor TN of 30) Though even that can fail depending on the GM. We had a Forest Killer in the party for a while. He had Earth 5, and the Forest Killer technique so his wounds were over 130. A Crane duelist killed him in one hit by doing a called shot to the neck with 18 damage. He was rank 2, and the duelist was a rank 6 Kenshinzen master Sensei, so he kind of got himself into that one but still. As to Iaijutsu specialized bushi going first, they tend to have higher reflexes than Kenjutsu/Heavyweapons/etc specialized bushi so the majority of the time they go first. (Especially if they're Crane or Scorpion) These characters can usually be overwhelmed once you survive their Iaijutsu strike, as they tend to also have low Earth. Once you get the "attacks are a simple action" technique at rank 3 (sometimes 4) that's when things kind of start to lean towards striking first, because everybody at that point is rolling a million dice to hit each other, so everybody always hits. If you just do average damage that's about 40~ between both with a katana. Most people are crippled at that point if not dead. Because we're scumbag Mantis the best way to deal with these wacky rank 900 Crane duelists is to just go thug and ambush them with shitloads of archers or something.
If we're doing M&M I want in on it (Hey meltingdata play M&M with me)

Almost tempted to get into a game of M&M. Almost.
Well, that character is probably doomed now. We played tonight, and we unraveled a big plot where some Phoenix shugenja summoned an Oni and give it her name and shit. Long story short, we killed the Oni. So afterwards Kitsuki investigators arrive and interrogate everybody about what happened. My friends all lied and said it was a big disease thing. I didn't. Our GM is actually a lawyer IRL, and I have social anxiety. So basically I got manipulated by an actual lawyer into telling him the truth and the Phoenix are saying I'm full of shit. It's not really looking good for me, and I feel bad that I squealed everything to the police. TL;DR: I told the truth, and now I'm probably going to die for it. RIP Yoritomo Kazuma, The Mountain that Moves, and Slayer of Oni. http://i.imgur.com/17pKQdl.jpg
RIP So what's your new char's name and when can I paint them ???
So if this M&M game happens, how do we set up our character? I'm seeing stuff like power level points and whatnot.
