no more elevator battles pls i can't handle the stress
Escalator battles.
Escalator battles.
I love you it's gonna happen. [editline]5th February 2014[/editline] A bunch of esclators all lined up like that one crazy stairs painting [t]http://i.imgur.com/nu67L2W.jpg[/t] going various speeds while shit gets thrown at you to knock you off into the gnashing teeth of the horrifying demons below!
Killed all but one party member last night; they took on a bit more than they could handle. Now the only one left is alone in an ruined castle filled with Orcs, Oozes, and a horrific demonic entity that is slowly roaming the halls butchering the remaining population. Poor guy is fucked.
so rats was talkin' smack about solars always being better than DB's 1v1 in every circumstance so we both rolled up essence 2 starter characters and I won despite him having 22 frikkin health levels fight of the century 10/10
21 Lethal soak.
You totally had the opportunity to do the exact same, so don't lecture me on it
Turns out kidnapping NPCs who post Facebook statuses every 10 minutes is really easy. In Shadowrun we needed to kidnap this dudebro because he was the son of a now deceased enemy of our employer. We did a Matrix search on him, and sure enough, he's posting updates about what he's doing constantly. His apartment was a 2 hour drive from our current location, and when we checked his latest status it said: "Going out to Denny's with my girl! #BestGirl #BestPlan #Blowjobs" When we finally got into town, I checked his status updates: "Back from Denny's. Girlfriend's really mad. #AngryGirl #PlanFailed" We waited until we saw his car pull into the parking lot of his building (We knew what it looked like because he had hundreds of pictures of it on his Facebook) and his angry girlfriend just rushed inside while he moped around by his car. Once his girlfriend was gone in the elevator we just took him and the job was done.

A solar, fully optimized for battle, will defeat an equally experienced dragonblooded also fully optimized for battle 100% of the time. The issue is that Rats very likely didn't optimize the character as well as he could have, and perhaps performed a few misplays during the combat. Back when Dragonblooded had free reflexives and Celestials needed to use charms in order to use multiple charms per turn, low level XP dragonblooded had an advantage over solars. This is no longer the case. TL;DR- Just because you beat Rats with a DB when he was using a Solar does not mean that DBs are superior in any fashion what so ever. The only advantage they have over Solars is entirely Meta- In that there are more of them, and they have a better access to artifacts/manses because they're the dominant political power in the world.
:words:
nah babby solars are only slightly stronger than babby DBs solars just keep getting stronger way after DBs stop but really that barely even matters anyway because they need to be hundreds of years old in order to really take advantage of that TL;DR solars are stupid go infernal

But you're wrong, with the free combo rules introduced with Exalted 2.5, Solars are much, much, muchmuchmuchmuch stronger than Dragonblooded, at any and every level of experience. Easy access to cheap perfect defenses with the best flaw of invulnerabilities, more potent combat and utility charms, infinitely superior artifact crafting, access to more potent sorceries, martial arts,... You know what? Other than the DB only keywords, Dragonblooded have fuckin' nothing on Solars. Especially since Solars can even adopt the 1-for-2 mote per die excellency cost with the purchase of an appropriate charm. DBs, even with high breeding, have fewer motes, higher mote costs, less potency, less longevity, less everything than Solars. And this is 100% entirely by design.
So I'm playing Black Crusade for the first time. What should Chaos Space Marine Sorceror, Zoosk, expect from the warp today?
So I'm playing Black Crusade for the first time. What should Chaos Space Marine Sorceror, Zoosk, expect from the warp today?
What god are you focusing on? Also, with psy rating 1 you can expect to have lots of bad shit happen every time you try to do stuff.
1? Sorceror's start at 2. Not to mention I have willpower out the wazoo. Also Tzeentch is my chaotic Jesus.
Do they? I thought it was the rogue psykers that started with 2, and sorcerers with just 1. Maybe it was 3 and 2, I don't remember.
So I'm playing Black Crusade for the first time. What should Chaos Space Marine Sorceror, Zoosk, expect from the warp today?
When I played Black Crusade I was the only Space Marine in the party. All the enemies ignored the rest of the party and beat the shit out of me on the floor with stun sticks. Also, playing a Khorne Space Marine is probably not the best idea when the rest of the party is a bunch of Tzeench and Slaanesh scheming assholes. Basically they would plan something for weeks, and then I would ruin everything by charging in headfirst screaming my own name, and since they were all regular humans and I was a Space Marine there wasn't much they could do to stop me.

If both the solar and the dragonblooded are combat focused, it could really go either way, but if the solar plays intelligently, I wouldn't give the DB more than a 1 in 5 chance. If you're using unerrata'd 2.0 content, and the DB is an Immaculate Dragon, the DB will auto-win, even if the Solar plays flawlessly, and chooses the perfect charms. This is because unerrata'd Immaculate MAs are broken as fuck.
I'm trying to create a mission for my Deathwatch party's first session. Any ideas that you guys wanna throw out there?

Think horrifying illness and disease, giant clouds of swarming locusts and BEES.
