i know the crab is one of the samurai clan thingies in L5R, but every time you talk about this game i keep imagining the crab player being a literal crab.
I actually thought it was just a guy playing as a giant talking crab. evidently i know nothing about L5R

making an only war character have decided I'm going to go heavy gunner with a freaking plasma cannon because there is no way this can't be awesome I'm really looking forward to killing myself with my own weapon the first time we fight anything

One that lets you keep it from overheating and another that increases it's blast. I played a """Sniper""" that used a plasma cannon and a storm bolter.
Commissioned MakoSkyDub to draw my L5R character: [[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/XW8HJcx.jpg[/thumb] Singer/Songwriter Bayushi Takihiro, with his parrot, and shady ninja friend Shosuro Ikkaku.
I did some calculating just now, and getting a full body cyberlimb replacement costs 5 essence if it's all alphaware, and if you customize it all to have 6 agility and 6 strength, which you should, it costs 252000 nuyen. If you put priority A in resources, which you should, that would still leave you 198000 nuyen to buy cyberware enhancements and other equipment after that. Then later on, you can replace it with higher grade cyberware, letting you get even more cyber. Making Robocop is entirely plausible.
Now I want to play Shadowrun
Had our weekly pathfinder game yesterday. First combat phase we get in my character gets -4 health ( down from 10) cause my DM got a critical on his first attack with his goblin dog thing. Sent most of the phase bleeding out on the floor until a party member healed me. Though it wasn't as bad as my friend's character who got critted to -7 from 3 health. Her character would have died in our third session if she wasn't healed haha.

you go down in EVERY GAME.
So, I am curious, has anyone here tried DnD Next yet? What are your thoughts on it? I'm curious because my Wednesday Night Encounters group at my local game store is finding that the next adventure Wizards is selling for these events is apparently only available in Next, rather than their previous conversions to 4E and 3.5. I'm wondering how its gonna go if we're forced into playing Next

Guys, if you want an alternate megabadass rpg that isn't Anime as fuck like Exalted, go with Deathwatch. It's so rad.
Guys, if you want an alternate megabadass rpg that isn't Anime as fuck like Exalted, go with Deathwatch. It's so rad.
Deathwatch is lame, Space Marines are lame. If you want a REAL megabadass rpg go with Rogue Trader.
ill have you know magical girls is incredibly badass and the least anime system of all bitches flock to me wanting to join in and become part of the lesbianic magic
Deathwatch is lame, Space Marines are lame. Like, in this game, you can all aim up your bolters and synchronously kill an insanely powerful boss in one hit. Lore and all that shit aside, the rules alone are badass as fuck.
If you want a REAL megabadass rpg go with FATAL.

Most greater demons or demon princes will as well. In Rogue Trader, however, you can just have your ship fire it's weapons at the target. Even greater demons can't handle macrocannons... usually.
Personally, I think all Warhammer 40k is lame as balls. Except the Tau and Ork Talk.
Personally, I think all Warhammer 40k is lame as balls. Except the Tau and Ork Talk.
squats for life bro
Personally, I think all Warhammer 40k is lame as balls. Except the Tau and Ork Talk.
Tau are the sissy baby race. Orks are rad though.
Tau are the sissy baby race. Orks are rad though.
Tau are sensible race.
Tau are sensible race.
Tau have no psykers.
Tau are sensible race.
HAH! Sensible until your human sector feigns surrender and they take them in for the "greater good" before they get their ass wrecked. Also, just try getting the orks exterminated.
Tau are sensible race.
They are a bunch of ignorant fools who don't even have warp travel. They had to reverse engineer a mekboy's personal forcefield to get that tech, and they can't scale it down that much (which is to say, they use it on starships, they can't get it anywhere NEAR personal sized). They are a bunch of barbarians who have no real tech, no real idea of what the universe is like, and are small enough that they are literally not a player in the big leagues.
Don't forget the face vaginas.
And they have no psykers.
And they have no psykers.
And they basically turn into terrified little girls the moment their Ethereal gets blasted.
And they have no psykers.
They actively kill any psykers that crop up in their human populations, so that would rather limit their access to psykers. [editline]12th February 2014[/editline]
And they basically turn into terrified little girls the moment their Ethereal gets blasted.
Unless they turn into badasses. (Commander Farsight is also using a VERY OBVIOUS demonblade)
Whatever, it's lame city anyway.
