I feel super jealous of youTrannyAlert. I can never be in a Shadowrun game as a player, only as a GM. Because literally no one else in Rhode Island plays a game that is not DnD or Pathfinder. I tried generating interest at my college. Zero interest. Tried a local gaming group. Nope. Local gaming stores? Nope, only Magic the fucking Gathering and DnD/Pathfinder. The very few people who expressed interest had a busy schedule. Btw what are you playing as?
I'm playing as an Unarmed Troll with a bajillion cyberware. 10 Strength, 9 Body. I'm playing online with a group of people who play in my DnD sessions, which will be pretty cool.
Welp my game was cancelled tonight cause someone bailed last minute. Sucks man, was really looking forward to playing tonight.
Usually if someone bails in mine we just carry on, max we carry on with is 2 missing. Our group does have 6 people in tho.
Last night's Magical Burst game can be summed up as "Katawa Mahou Shoujo." Or rather, in english, "Crippled Magical Girls." They managed to cripple themselves and each other physically and emotionally with practically no help from me. It's all on them. Now two of them want to split off and do evil rouge stuff. This should be interesting. I can work with this. Probably.
You haven't played Edge of the Empire until you've rolled 10+ advantages and no successes.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9673253/Images/Screenshots/luka plays edge of the empire.png[/t] Just happened pre-game.
I kinda want to run a short game just to throw a Graveknight at a party. I kinda like the idea of someone who was impulsive and hedonistic in life being striped of the all the adrenaline, testosterone and pleasure they lived for, while also unable to die, leaving them stuck with no purpose but lashing out.

A game via skype and roll20 with either Eclipse Phase or Pathfinder (though honestly I'd rather not run Pathfinder until the Iron Gods adventure path comes out). We basically need two more people since there are only two players at the moment. I just prefer face to face games tbh, but I hope this one gets off

Kazoos and streamers are probably a bad idea, for one.
Definitely no stripper in a cake.
Death stripper.
Death stripper.
A stripper that starts of naked, then starts stripping off their skin, then muscle, until there's just a skeleton like that one Robbie Williams video. That would be a strange way to spend your undeath, being a stripper lich.
I'm getting excited for Shadowrun, the whole setting just looks, awesome. Just got to get my head round the rolling system, not to mention the matrix and hacking.
Tests are actually really easy to understand. It's just skill level 1 + Skill level 2 + modifiers = dice pool. Dice pool is the amount of dice you roll per test. Threshold is the amount of hits you need to succeed, a hit is rolling a 5 or greater. Glitches are minor failures, critical glitches are catastrophic failures, you get those by rolling natural 1's on at least half of your dice pool for a normal glitch, or half or more of your dice pool and no hits for a critical glitch.
Are there any groups willing to pick up a new player? I have some experience with how d20 systems work by watching podcasts and reading the rules, and I'm very interested in playing. I've got a camera and microphone as well.

I would offer a space but I recently took on a new playing in my group and am kind of full up.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9673253/Images/Screenshots/luka plays edge of the empire.png[/t] Just happened pre-game.
A true sign of what was to come. 4/7 players died because they started a fight with a group of dudes better armed than us, as well as outnumbering us almost 3 to 1. The 3 who didn't get shot up escaped to our ship then came back to where the fight was and blew them all up with ship weapons so all is well again. Good thing we bought that bacta tank is all I'm saying.
What would be the best system to do a buddy detective rpg, set on earth, in modern times. I'm thinking Call of Cthulhu, probably because the Great Old Ones and Elder God's will be mentioned and possibly show up to a lesser extent. But if anyone has any recommendations, that'd be nice.
And that's how you do it, son.
Actually the way I did it I lived through a year long campaign.
Actually the way I did it I lived through a year long campaign.
But can you really call that living, or just a state of not being dead
But can you really call that living, or just a state of not being dead
I dunno, I told a lord of change to go fuck itself, charred several people alive, killed a shape shifter, destablized tons of governments on different planets... Think I lived it up pretty well.

I am starting a campaign with some of my firends, it is thier first time. Any tips for keeping them engaged in the game, or idéers for the adventure?
