Hyrule is fucking FULL of monsters though? There's like, a couple of bastions of safety which always get overrun and destroyed anyway, outside of that it's just wall to wall monsters and ruined temples full of traps and more monsters. You can't even stay outdoors once the sun goes down, or stalchildren will claw their way out of the ground to tear you to ribbons with their ragged fingerbones. It's such a sexy trpg setting! Would probably work best if you didn't use the actual game locations though.
We're playing what amounts to a modified story of Majora's Mask, which seems very promising even if entirely new content would have been cooler. [editline]8th March 2014[/editline] But he said he's keeping pretty much nothing from the original game and modified or changed everything so I can only wonder how it's going to play out.
I have all the books and I can just upload the stuff somewhere.
I will bet 5 eur that you will get booted from the group.
so through a series of bad will saves my friend swapped souls with a level 14 ghost. He grabbed his bound item which is a rapier flew hundreds of miles and killed the main villain of the plot point in his sleep while we were still under going a trial to prove our selves worthy of the task and he reverts back to his body 12 hours after the swap. dm was so fucking pissed Another party member posted a detailed reading of the event on reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/Pathfinder_RPG/comments/1zz43m/one_of_our_players_just_cut_our_campaign_in_half/

sorry phone auto correct is messing it up
According to Dwarfy, we managed at least a 1.75 on the Henderson Scale of Derailment for Mekton. I must say I'm fairly proud of our little group. [editline]9th March 2014[/editline] That might need to change to a solid 2 Hendersons if this keeps up.
My Deathwatch group is fucking mental, they consistently go about 0.5-1 on the plot derailment every single session. But the best shit happened on the barges, where they were wiping out heretics and demons. Some neat events include: -After a great unclean one invites them to become immortal by accepting the filth, accepting their offer and climbing into his mouth. -Upon seeing the necrons, the techpriest asking if he can join them. -When encountering a dude who turns human sculptures into flesh, asking if he can help out in any way. -When presented with the aftermath of an orgy of slaanesh, using omophagea and eating demon cum to gain heretical knowledge. This was just in one session.

Is it normal to write 1500+ words for you character's backstory? Seems I can write 1500+ in less than an hour a Pathfinder character and just thinking about the story as I write. But back in secondary school I couldn't write a 1000 word essay that was planned with notes and references.

I have trouble remembering I'm writing backstories and not novels.
I have trouble remembering I'm writing backstories and not novels.
Write a campaign setting, become a GM! Laugh manically when your players roll such amusing numbers such as "Six advantages using only two dice"
Write a campaign setting, become a GM! Laugh manically when your players roll such amusing numbers such as "Six advantages using only two dice"
I'm a life GM already. :v: Waiting for Realm Works to be publicly released before I put any real work into my own campaign settings, however.

Like how the only the only evidence of agriculture we see in the games is, like, 6 pumpkins in one town. And almost all the lore revolves around the Links, barring the creation story and King Gustaf.

Storytime. So, after two sessions being cancelled we made it back to Rokugan today in a pretty big way. We found guy #3 we were looking for, who oddly (compared to the others) agreed to help us straight away as long as we protected him on the road to the imperial city. So we set off, keeping watch each night. Until during the crabs watch an arrow flies out of nowhere, hits #3's tent and sets it on fire. Apparently someone sneakily doused it in some kind of accelerant that none of us noticed/smelt. So it goes up in flames basically the second after Hida (the crab) pulls #3 out of it to safety. Cue initiative rolls. With 5 reflexes I naturally go first, but can't do much more than string my bow and try and see our attackers. I don't see shit. Everyone else takes their turns, Hida and Matsu (the Lion) running off into the darkness, one of Matsu's lions in tow with another left behind guarding #3. One crane stands guard over #3 too. The other goes into full defense stance and makes some origami. Our mysterious attackers pelt Hida with a few arrows which he mostly shrugs off, and they run into a pair of tigers. Next turn, the GM makes me take my full turn to set one of my arrows on fire well enough that it won;t just go out. Fair enough, I do it anyway- I figure I won't hit them, but I'll at least light up where they are. The cranes carry on doing nothing, the Matsu stabs one of the tigers and the Hida breaks the others neck and then kicks it a fair distance. This is pretty par for the course as far as Hida-san's combat record is concerned. They eat a few more arrows, dodging some. Back to my turn. I can't see anybody to shoot at, so I just ask the gm if I can roughly shoot in the direction the first arrow came from, which he ok's. I roll 72. This guy is a ninja. Hiding in the darkness. About 90ft away. My flaming arrow sails through the sky and hits him square in the chest, doing about 32 damage including the bonus the gm gave me for the arrow being on fire. Knowing roughly where he is from the fire and the screams of firey pain, I quickly follow up with another arrow and do another big chunk of damage. The Matsu finishes off the second tiger and the Hida runs over to where he saw the fire, only to find I'd done enough to Down him, basically as close to death as you can get without being completely out. He spots ninja #2. Next turn I roll a 90 on my first attack to hit the second ninja hiding in the darkness that I can't even see. My second hit hits too, killing him. Hida is kinda annoyed he's just run around 100ft just to have two ninjas kill stolen from him by someone that can't even see what he's doing. To cut my already really long story short, there was two more ninja's, one of which appeared in the camp and took a few turns of combat with both cranes and the Matsu (who ran like 60ft in one action to get there), and the other, who was off hiding in the darkness again shooting arrows at me from where I couldn't see him. I was the better shot.
Only thing is... They travelled back in time and are now the emperors of mankind.
Heresy.
Only thing is... They travelled back in time and are now the emperors of mankind.
It was clearly all just a warp-spawned illusion to turn them over to CHAOS So then they're flung back into reality, with the unsatiable craving for UNLIMITED POWERRRR. And the Dark Gods will offer it to them with a shiteating grin on their face.
Heresy.
In their reality, it's orthodoxy. Good idea. Basically, if you wanna know whats going on, they together form a quadrumvirate, and each of them embodies a different aspect of the imperium, and are the foil to a chaos god. The reason why is because they were caught in a massive warp explosion created by a necron and a guy who molds sculptures out of human bodies. Those guys are also now as powerful as they are now. So what Im thinking is... the sculptor comes back and removes the illusion and says "I'm glad I could've painted a picture of what true power is... if you want it actualized, follow me..."

My sentinel in Only War is now the bitchingest thing on the planet I requisitioned an assault cannon for it, mounted a missile launcher on it's shoulder, and then since we got a 200 litre drum of acid when I failed to requisition more frag missiles, I jury-rigged an acid sprayer to it. This literally is the best thing ever
I'm gonna requisition a lawn chair ontop of it because i spend literally every session just sniping from it
This might be only tangentally related but is there, like, an online board game thingy?
This might be only tangentally related but is there, like, an online board game thingy?
Vassal. I've asked about playing it with people before but every time they say no.
But that's a downloady thing, like Mumble.
You have to download stuff all the time, it's really simple, plus it works for both Mac, PC, and I think Linux, so everyone can use it.
You have to download stuff all the time, it's really simple, plus it works for both Mac, PC, and I think Linux, so everyone can use it.
Too much effort for a passing whismy.
Too much effort for a passing whismy.
You're going to be playing a 1-3 hour long board game, why would you not spend 3 minutes downloading and installing it? You're a confusing person.
