She randomly pointed a gun at Red's face. That ain't kosher.
Which makes me wonder what it is with party members pointing guns at your character's faces. First The Lady with Red, and now Schnitzel with Tom. :v:
She randomly pointed a gun at Red's face. That ain't kosher.
She's a spy, and a damn careful one too. Red never took her eyes off The Lady as she walked in and conducted her business and never bothered the arms dealer about what he wanted there. Either he was waiting to hire her or kill her.
It's okay we'll waste all our time arguing about it in character when we should be doing something important or spamming perception checks or something.
The lord mayor will be telling us something important and we'll be completely ignoring him and arguing over the names
Question: In my pathfinder game one of the players is a Chaotic Neutral Drow. I know that normally they are Chaotic Evil and are slavers and jerks to all the other races. How would NPCs react with a Drow walking into town? Scowl and avoid them? Throw rotten eggs and vegetables? I mean at the minimum I will make NPCs scowl and avoid, I just am wondering how far I can go without being ridiculous.

you should have thoroughly questioned him once you heard he was playing a CN Drow hell you should've questioned him when you heard he was playing a drow at all
I'm trying to do my Pathfinder character sheet but i have been sat here for an hour trying to think of a name and race. Fucking hell its Elder Scrolls all over again.
I was curious if there are any groups out there playing that may want an additional member? Unfortunately I'm basically a newbie. I've played one session of Pathfinder and that's all the taste I've had of table-top. It was fun besides that fact said group could never get back together again due to time differences and life. I can't find a group or friends that would like to play or have the time to do so (I checked for game stores in my area too. None to be had considering they're all out town and miles away, causing issue in making it to the game with lack of transportation). I know there is the capability to play online. Is it close to the same thing as playing physically?
Names are always the hardest part of character creation.
How about a Human Male Wizard, who will accept every quest he is offered no matter the consequences. He also feels the need to try and steal and sacred artifacts from anywhere he visits. His name... [sp]Nicholas Mage[/sp]

This one if you are feeling dangerous. Keep the kid in the background.
And so we have angels, demons, a madman and Skrillex, all in one universe. What the fuck is going on with this campaign.

Drow are pretty much the boogie men that parents make up scary stories to scare kids into behaving. They'd be met with hostility, suspicion and fear if not outright murderous intent unless they're locally famous or known to not be hostile (and even then I doubt many people would trust them). There's a few exceptions like Drizzt of course but they're exactly that: exceptions.

My friend tried to get me into D&D during late elementary school (my elementary school had a lot of nerds/smart people.) However I was just being an asshat and I knew that you could theoretically be anyone, so I kept on asking him if I could be a power ranger and he got pissed and I never got into the game from there on. However when my Dad showed me all of his really old D&D stuff from the 70's it fascinated me. His brother made up all of his own worlds and maps and stuff, and my dad still has some of the original rule books and the old bestiary books which have fucking awesome art. It's a shame the game is so hard to get into though, there are so many statistics and crap involved and I am too simple of a gamer to really get into any of that stuff without it being automated for me.

Its called a GM.
It is automated for you. Its called a GM.
General Motors?
General Motors?
Game Master. Also sometimes referred to as the DM, or Dungeon Master.
Game Master. Also sometimes referred to as the DM, or Dungeon Master.
Oh, I know what Dungeon Master is. Didn't know it was called "Game Master" now. Anyways yeah I would probably be too much of a pain in the ass to get into the role playing part of it because I wouldn't take it seriously and just roll for stupid things because I think it's funny. Also none of my friends would ever want to get into it because it's too slow paced and stuff. It's just cool to me since it's really open ended unlike a video game which has so many limitations and barriers.
The whole GM/DM thing kind of depends on the game and the people playing. I usually call it DM, but in some games dungeons don't even really exist, so GM is more applicable.

Actually, yeah, on the topic of the serious-nonsensical scale of dnd games, you could just read the past few pages for some great examples of games where things have gone silly in a matter of minutes.
Is there anyway to make a rough map that doesn't either look like ass, require me to spend money or take bloody ages?
Is there anyway to make a rough map that doesn't either look like ass, require me to spend money or take bloody ages?
http://www.pyromancers.com/ maybe? I use it for my Fallout maps. Not exactly the most diverse tiles and props for use in a post-apocalyptic city, but it's very nice nonetheless.
I was thinking more of a geographical map, I'm trying to give a rough outline of a harbour town/city but I can only find stuff for making tactical maps of streets and dungeons.
you should have thoroughly questioned him once you heard he was playing a CN Drow hell you should've questioned him when you heard he was playing a drow at all
I know that now, but didn't when the campaign started. Now I have to deal with it, thus the question.

I'd feel bad though, because it's really my fault. First time DM'ing, and they are all new players. I didn't think to bring it up during character creation because I just plain didn't think of it.
Make him wear make-up so he looks like a regular elf.
So far in my GURPS sessions we have one French Musketeer (Not the gunman), an English Count, a Human-Hating Robot, an Island-Stranded Survivor, a Telekinetic Donkey (Used to be a horse but suddenly things), and a Serbian World War I Veteran. Shit's gonna be great. [editline]21st April 2013[/editline] I fucking love GURPS.
