I meant that sort of character, and I suppose that sort of game... Also, like I've said before, I don't see much of a similarity between the character I made and The Lady any more than any other character I've made, yes I've played a stealth character before, yes I've played an inorganic character before (in EP). But so what? Are base character archetypes like fucking coupons or something, limit one per customer? Am I now NEVER allowed to play a stealth-based character again? Do I need to present a fucking punch card to each GM showing what sort of characters I've already play incase the fucking RPG police catch me using the same class twice?
The Lady: Cold Femme Fatale, Mysterious Past, Stealth Based, Aloof The Spy-Lady: Cold Femme Fatale, Mysterious Past, Stealth Based, Aloof The Sniper-lady: Cold Femme Fatale, Mysterious Past, Stealth Based, Aloof Noticing a trend here? Your ASOIAF character had a fucking great backstory, you just need to mix it up.

While The Lady was reused in the Spycraft game, it's because it was a fucking espionage game and I only got to use the character for one session. I played a spy in Spycraft, sue me.
I'm going to kill you Dwarfy. [sp]No but seriously, those avatars look sick.[/sp]
So the surprise was that it's a homestuck game.
What the fuck even is Homestuck? [editline]28th March 2014[/editline] Should of made a Homestar Runner game, at least that I could make a character for.
I would rather play some awful hellspawn mlp game than homestuck if there is one thing on the internet that annoys me it's homestuck
I don't know anything about it, so I can just pretend it's some weird system.
I would rather play some awful hellspawn mlp game than homestuck if there is one thing on the internet that annoys me it's homestuck
That's why I didn't say what it was when I recruited, I love homestuck, hate the fans. This way, there's no fanboys/girls in the party, instead, 6 adventures thrust into a strange new world to explore, just figure I'd give them a one day heads up, in case it bothered them THAT much to make them quit.
What's a homestuck.
That, and half the fun of SBURB, is that it's a group of 4 (or 6 in this case) morons poking around with it, trying to figure out how the fuck to not die playing it. With experienced readers, there's not as much geniune fucking around.
Well, if I had known what the fuck the game was about I could have made a thematically complimentary character. However I don't care for a Hamstack game so I'm sticking to my decision.
If you wanted to GM I guarantee you'd have a full party in a day.
What if we hunt down a campaign on Roll20 and all apply to it.
What's a homestuck.
it's when you're stuck at home HA HA HA HA no it's a webcomic
So it's actually a homestuck game? Okay.
So the [REDACTED] skill wasn't Pimping? Damn..
So the [REDACTED] skill wasn't Pimping? Damn..
Am I seriously the only one who actually paid attention to the Character Creation rules and noticed that it wasn't redacted there?
Am I seriously the only one who actually paid attention to the Character Creation rules and noticed that it wasn't redacted there?
This just proves that only 1/6 players read the god damn rules.
Rules? Where we're going we don't need rules.
What if we hunt down a campaign on Roll20 and all apply to it.
Rando GM's are even worse than rando players. 9/10 times the GM realizes hes doing a lot of effort for people he has no attachment to and just bails. I used to trawl for GM's on Roll20 and Tangled Web. Never got nowhere.
a good gm is like a good car you can't just grab one off the street and expect to get very far with it
I would rather play some awful hellspawn mlp game than homestuck if there is one thing on the internet that annoys me it's homestuck
With your title I don't think you'd be the most impartial person in that regard...
didn't know you couldn't like a thing without also enjoying every single thing the fandom does too, thanks for the update edit: plus, christ have you even looked at these if I did a shot for every shit oc that looked massively out of place I wouldn't make it past the first set of rules
Ok I've decided to give this a whirl. I'm looking for four players, ideally on UK time, but can deal with foreign players as long as they can make it to sessions at what will probably be 7pm some weekdays and about 4pm sundays. We are going to play exalted and I am going to have to work my arse off to homebrew. Backstory: Brief story; The maker of the world left shortly after creating everything and of what he created there was first the pantheon. The Maker's children, now known as the gods were encharged with the keeping of the world and the petty races that roamed its surface. For a time these beings carried out their charge, teaching and guiding the younger races in the ways of each of their chosen skillsets. But some of the pantheon believed that their father had abandoned them and he would never return. They thought he had given them a curse in the babying of the youngers and instead began to plot to remove them from existence. This plot was luckily uncovered before it reached fruition and instead triggered a war in the heavens and even upon Terra. After the deaths of scores of the Maker's children the leaders of the loyalists and the 'revisionists' reached out for a truce. It brought them to the uneasy peace at the price of severing the pantheon from the mortals below and debating upon what to do next. This was 600 years ago on Terra, yet only scant years have passed in the Pantheon. Will the peace hold or will a cataclysm once again rock the heavens and the surface? You will play as part of the entourage of one of these gods. There is a mysterious illness killing whatever it touches on the surface and your deity is worried for the mortals, whom are in a state of utter panic. They no longer believe in the gods following the great severance, but your noble deity still feels their pain. You are shocked to learn you will be sent to the surface on a covert mission.
holy shit i sleep one night and when i wake up suddenly there's 50 fucking posts
oh my god it happened again what is this sorcery [editline]28th March 2014[/editline]
Rando GM's are even worse than rando players. 9/10 times the GM realizes hes doing a lot of effort for people he has no attachment to and just bails. To those in dwarfy's game: sorry I thought I'd rename the shared folder as a joke, and it decided to sync the folder and all the files as entirely new files.

That's really all you need to do, instead of reworking an old system with very little wiggle room. (Plus Exalted's not even that good really... despite what people here say...)
Could also use FATE, which is also pretty simple.
(Plus Exalted's not even that good really... despite what people here say...)
I don't think anybody was singing Exalted's praises, I just said it might work for what he was going for. 2nd Edition is a massive pile of shit from 20 different freelance writers who all had their own ideas about where they wanted the setting to go and didn't bother to consult a lot of the other books when writing their own bits.
