So, personal results from Dwarfy's surprise Homestuck game include me barricading myself in my bathroom while a TV/Raven hybrid destroys my house.
You're welcome. Aren't I just the best server player?
So, personal results from Dwarfy's surprise Homestuck game include me barricading myself in my bathroom while a TV/Raven hybrid destroys my house.
I resurrected Ronnie James Dio and forged a d666 from a d6 and a copy of The Number Of The Beast.
I'm so glad I have a nice, active group in my area
I'm so glad I have a nice, active group in my area
All the people I play with are furries, complete shut-ins, ERPers or a combination thereof. [sp]It's either hilarious or awful, there is no middle ground[/sp]
Mr. Breakfast. Mr. FUCKING Breakfast. A half poptart/half business man hybrid who wears a pink frosting suit and smokes bacon cigars.
Every fucking Kernelsprite you people made is god damn hilarious :v:
All the people I play with are furries, complete shut-ins, ERPers or a combination thereof. [sp]It's either hilarious or awful, there is no middle ground[/sp]
Sounds to me like a good time.
Every fucking Kernelsprite you people made is god damn hilarious :v:
I only allowed the TV because I didn't want to metagame something cooler.
Sounds to me like a good time.
Any game that doesn't make you want to immediately bail usually ends up pretty fun and semi-serious, yeah, but the bad players are fucking cringe worthy.
Ok guys I've looked over the viability of exalted (thanks!) and decided to do a savage worlds game instead. Could anyone who is interested in the game PM me with when you are most available during the week (I'm sure we can work it out so everyone interested can play). It will be an epic campaign and I am going to stick by it, but remember I am a new GM so things might be a bit slow in the first session or two as I get to grips with the role.
Any game that doesn't make you want to immediately bail usually ends up pretty fun and semi-serious, yeah, but the bad players are fucking cringe worthy.
At least they aren't MMO-esque players, the kind that really don't have a problem breaking alignment for some extra XP or cash.
my group in star wars keeps wanting to kill people for their ship.
my group in star wars keeps wanting to kill people for their ship.
It'd be so easy man. So easy. Pop!- and dead. If our resident Lithuanian didn't point out that people might come looking for his ship I would've considered the idea had someone gunned for it.
my group in star wars keeps wanting to kill people for their ship.
Ships are EXPENSIVE, and the ones you start with aren't that great. Why WOULDN'T you do that if you had the opportunity?
because a: dark side points and b: railroading
because a: dark side points and b: railroading
What star wars game are you playing that has dark side points? The d20 rules? So what, you can railroad them with new ships too. Perhaps the ships have preset hyperspace coordinates or something and autopilot themselves there or something like that, I dunno. No reason to force people to stick with a ship they don't want.
because a: dark side points and b: railroading
Ah yes, evil characters and derailing the plotline. Two of the pillars of a good party.
we're playing saga edition.
At least they aren't MMO-esque players, the kind that really don't have a problem breaking alignment for some extra XP or cash.
One advantage to playing with people who roleplay more than they play videogames, yeah.
Homestuck RPG: Arguing about Archer.
So the Dark Heresy game run by a friend of mine at the college basically collapsed when we lost interest, both in how absurdly lethal the system is (hint on how we all got nearly TPK'd: psyker) and on how utterly clunky it is. So instead of going to the default system everyone around here in the college seems to do (Pathfinder) we decided we're going to do a new system every month! Yay for variety! But next month is Pathfinder using the Warcraft setting. Not yay! I'm utterly disinterested in Warcraft and Pathfinder. But in May it's new World of Darkness where we're all part of a 1930's jazz band. Yay! And then in June...majestic Eclipse Phase, run by moi. July is Game of Thrones RPG, and after that, nothing decided yet. I'm gonna try advocating Numenera for August. Course, anything can change in four months, but I'm super hyped for running something that's not Mathfinder out in this neck of the woods.
Gross, you should totally get your hands on the Reign of Winter AP and have the DM run that. It's got dimensional shenanigans, fun encounters and a winter wolf waifu.
Does anyone have any interest in GM'ing a game on saturdays? Like any interest at all, you don't have to have done it before, just be interested.
Does anyone have any interest in GM'ing a game on saturdays?
Gross, you should totally get your hands on the Reign of Winter AP and have the DM run that. I mean that in the most non-sarcastic way!
Well funktastic dog, my campaign is going to run on sundays, you on board?
I heard a word related to coldness, who summoned me?

It just feels... Refreshing, if that makes sense? Mostly for the reasons you listed but also because it's just not the same-old "ye olde rural/urban France/Germany/China." Also it has a cute centaur lady. Between her and the winter wolf (and that chick from the beginning, and the dudes) this AP is already above the Paizo AP husbando/waifu quota.
Long Wang, master of fluids, shooter of fireballs, impersonator of sanic, and 12 year old alcoholic drug using ninja, is dead.
Long Wang, master of fluids, shooter of fireballs, impersonator of sanic, and 12 year old alcoholic drug using ninja, is dead.
Wang touched us all and will never be forgotten. He died like a bitch though. Shurikens, really? Come on. Not even a jutsu or bigass weapon, but tiny little shurikens.
Has anyone ever actually been hit with shurikens, much less killed by them, before?
