So an interesting series of events happened that i'd like to share. Long ass motherfucking story
That is a very long post. Probably the longest post in this thread that doesn't have a TL;DR.
It was worth the read.
:words:
that's quite a bizarre adventure
Have any of you had experience with psionics in Pathfinder? I mean from the third party stuff, not anything imported from 3.5.

Result: Psionics suffer from the same problem that they suffered from in 3.x; You're ridiculously OP unless your GM actually forces you through the requisite number of encounters per day. If your GM is the kind that doesn't use combat very much, you can go nova every turn and vaporize almost anything.

It's already going to be a campaign with plasma grenades, power armor, and ray guns, so why not psionics? But if they're seriously that OP, I dunno now.

[editline]23rd April 2014[/editline]
That is a very long post. Probably the longest post in this thread that doesn't have a TL;DR.
It's only 537 words.
Been working out rough rules for a d20 based XCOM rpg/wargame in roll20. It seems to have the adequate amount of aliens overwatching and murdering my friend's rookies. He beat the mission with 4/6 alive tho, which seems about right.
The DM described it as Jojo's heart shooting out of his chest with the first arrow, only to be shot in midair by the second and exploding, killing him instantly.
Had a good chuckle at this
Why are the move descriptions of Dungeon World written like complete wank?
So I guess I'm going to be participating in a Star Wars Edge of the Empire game next week. Anyone who's played be willing to share any thoughts or input on it?
The dice hate you. Good luck. What are you playing btw?
Dunno yet. I took a brief look at the professions and considered either bounty hunter or gadgeteer. Probably gonna stick with playing as a normal, boring Corellian human.
You know, I have a very peculiar talent for dying inordinate amounts of times in some games, and then simultaneously somehow magically surviving just about anything in others. This is the second time my character dies in weird ass Naruto adventures, and this time I wasn't even being that stupid. For reference I am the only one who has died ever in that game. Meanwhile in Pathfinder, i'm basically jumping onto people's swords as a wizard, I've gone into negative hit points a bunch of times, and yet I am still alive.

I'm still amazed I never died in Exalted. I can think of only 1 session where I didn't almost die, and it was the only session where I used any kind of necromancy, if I remember right. :v:

Oh yeah, when 3rd edition comes out. :v:
I need to run another Exalted game at some point. Oh yeah, when 3rd edition comes out. :v:
Which actually may not be too long, at this point, since they seem to be getting close to done, finally.
so apparently my Legend of the 5 Rings gm wants to know what our characters have been doing in the year between the next session and the last except I wasn't at the last session and didn't know a year was going to pass inbetween that and our next
Which actually may not be too long, at this point, since they seem to be getting close to done, finally.
Yeah, they're actually releasing content now. They sent out one of the backer comics earlier today/yesterday.
fun times nothing better than nuking everything "accidentally"
Tell me about it
Tell me about it
Shooting tanks of prometheum with a lasgun from 3 meters away is good for killing mutants, but cleansing fire is indiscriminate.
Does anyone have any interest in taking over my Homestuck character? I'm just not feeling it for this game.
So I guess I'm going to be participating in a Star Wars Edge of the Empire game next week. Anyone who's played be willing to share any thoughts or input on it?
as far as movement and ranges go, it's fantastically freeform you don't really have to bother with grids and shit, it's really fun also for maximum op raise agility to 5 and shoot things
I dislike grids for most things. Even if you're playing with miniatures, its liberating to get a tape measure and just freeform it than it is to bother with grids.
My achievements in the last Homestuck game: Punched velociraptor in snout to establish dominance (succeeded, he's now my mount and I am the Raptor King) Punched basilisk in snout to establish dominance (failed, killed it anyways for its impertinence) Knocked on Satan's door (at least I assume it was him - he didn't answer) Activated the Forge and restored the Land of Darkness and Fire (or whatever it is - never actually named it) Beat Ron in a pun duel Got the party back together

Second, without me and Dory you would have been roasted. And finally, you keep on telling yourself that little lie if it helps you sleep at night. All you did was spout meaningless puns without context. And besides that, nothing you could have came up with could have topped the flawless timing and relevance of my pansexual pun. I am the pun king here.
