this is going to be an all barbarian party right?
Barbarians with LASER GUNS
I'd be up for it, though we'll have to see when the game would happen/what my schedules like by the time it starts. :v:
Given that the last game I ran with fellow Facepunchers, Eclipse Phase, ended when it clashed horribly with my school schedule, I will have to double make sure I don't make the same mistake again, so this game might start as late as early September, if at all. Consider this an interest check for now, I suppose.
Sounds like fun and something i would like playing. I haven't played it before but if we end up doing the pathfinder on i would be perfectly fine on the rules part
Do you guys know any good space games? Kinda trying to find one to dm.
Do you guys know any good space games? Kinda trying to find one to dm.
Motherfucking Rogue Trader
Motherfucking Rogue Trader
What one was your favorite out of the Rogue Trader series?
What one was your favorite out of the Rogue Trader series?
Rogue Trader is the ruleset, it's a 40K thing. If you don't want 40K you could try Edge of the Empire (which is Star Wars)

Are there any horror space ones out there that you guys know of?

Especially the 40k ones. And especially Dark Heresy. also fuck pre-made adventures

THE WALLS ARE EATING US! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING? WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE EVEN ANYMORE?" Three words can literally turn high adventure into pants shitting terror and drag a ship the size of a small city into the fucking silent hill nightmare dimension. "Gellar field malfunction" Basically, the gellar field is the thing that protects ships as they travel through the warp, this settings blend of Hyperspace and literal HELL!
Thanks guys, I'll definitely look more into it.
If you just took the plot of Red Dwarf and eliminated the comedy factor you would have a pretty amazing RPG scenario (with incidentally tonnes of horror potential)
Mongoose Traveller is bloody great as far as space games go Ruleset is simple, easy to get into, character creation is a blast, and you can play literally anything and throw in homebrew stuff super easily because the system is so simple

I can't decide what class to play as in Neverwinter Nights 2, got a mod that adds a fuckton of them.
I can't decide what class to play as in Neverwinter Nights 2, got a mod that adds a fuckton of them.
What mod, and which part of NWN 2? If it's core NWN 2, anything that isn't a rogue. They get shafted by the game, so many fucking things that are immune to backstabs.

And I was planning playing either the Icewind Dale remake and/or the core campaign going on to Mask of the Betrayer to see what all the hype is about.

So I'm thinking of trying to run a FantasyCraft game. Would anybody be interested? For those unfamiliar with the system, it's basically 3.5 except classes are relatively balanced(being able to use magic doesn't make you master of all), plus it's got special shit you can apply to the game to change the way various rules work.(EG, by default magic and miracles don't exist. But then you add the Sorcery and Miracles campaign qualities, with whatever variations of them you want, and it's entirely possible.) Also armor gives damage reduction instead of a Defense boost, there is no 'Knowledge(Thing)' skill, and you can get bonuses to skill checks from other skills you have points in based on what you're actually trying to do. (EG if you wanted to put on a show for someone by doing a backflip or something, that's probably be an Impress check with a synergy bonus from Acrobatics, so you roll a d20 and add your Impress bonus and an extra +2 if you've got at least 4 ranks in Acrobatics.) TL;DR SpyCraft in a fantasy setting.
Mask of the Betrayer is ten times better than vanilla. It's worth skipping over the standard plot entirely and just playing Mask, imo. Also, as terrible as warlocks are I still love them. And frenzied berzerkers.
I like both the original and mask, though i enjoyed mask much more. I was about halfway (i think) through storms of zehir when i switched computers and so i have yet to finish that but i liked it a lot up to that point.

The bonus classes are mostly meh, or OP as fuck.
I don't know why but I've tried to get into the game multiple times and failed. I think I'm too used to modern Elder Scrolls type stuff. But me and that series are on non-speaking terms right now. [editline]31st May 2014[/editline] Might go Drow Sorceress->Frost Mage because frozen fractals this time. Was thinking of a Tiefling something since a mod I've got allows a playable version of the Succubs face and wings and stuff though. Decisions, decisions!
so fucken psyched for us skeletons to better the world and free our skeleton brethren from their fleshy prisons
so fucken psyched for us skeletons to better the world and free our skeleton brethren from their fleshy prisons
Since we can basically all Command Undead we will have a fucking huge army almost immediately, every single death adds to our glorious army of freedom!
I'm planning on running a mixed cheesy-serious superhero-based game in the somewhat near future, what sort of systems do you guys recommend? I've heard about Mutants and Masterminds but I've no idea if it's the best one for these sort of things.
