female gay sailors would be counter intuitive though
then they would just be more interested in the whores

You clever devil, you.
First session of a new Pathfinder game, entire party gets arrested for breaking and entering, except me, the chaotic neutral gnome.
Bought the 5e starter set. Gonna try my hand at dm-ing with an entire party of newbies. I hope it goes well, kinda nervous , no idea how its gonna go.
All the people involved are good friends of mine so it should be grand
I just want to remind everyone that if you do a lot of IRL gaming, go visit a craft store sometime. You will find all kinds of useful things, usually a lot cheaper than game-specific versions.
Dice bags are usually like $5-$10 apiece. Fuck that. Jewelry box in shape of a treasure chest, $0.99. Or a 12-pack of burlap bags I found in the bridal section of all things. They had silk and stuff too, but screw that, burlap.
Have a ton of cardboard pawns? Get a bead sorting box - they're just about the perfect size for PF medium-size pawns. Grab some of the smaller organization boxes too for the larger pawns. I just spent a few hours sorting the Bestiary Box 1 into "Humanoids + Monstrous Humanoids", "Dragons + Magical Creatures", and "Outsiders + Aberrations", with another subdivided box for various player and NPC pawns. I might buy a tackle box or something to get more organized, portable storage - too many things had to go into bags.
Also, I found an "11-inch plastic easel", which is basically a bookstand. $6. Lets you keep a book open to a specific page, readable, while taking up less space than laying a book on the table.
Right now might be a good time to go - they have their halloween stuff already, so there's plenty of skulls and shit that might be good for ambiance.
Mostly unrelated, the one I went to had earbuds for $2.50. I bought two, because I lose those things way too easily. Haven't tried them yet - I don't expect great sound, but unless it's absolute crap it's a good buy.
wats irl gaming?

I hear sometimes there are snacks involved
every irl game I attended with my uni buddies involved takeaway and snacks
so uh
our Hollowpoint one-shot game was supposed to be a serious crime drama kinda deal 'cause I fucking love Heat
but it turned into a bonkers Fiasco game as the getaway driver escaped with the paintings they were supposed to steal (getting wounded in the process) as the other two party members, both wrestlers, had the most epic feud in the world in the middle of the LA Museum Of Modern Art
also the phrase "gyrating dong" was used at some point

Also while my party has an wrestling match I drive off with all the cash because a robbery isn't complete without double betrayal.

Hey, you know this was great; I got to play a Macho Man knockoff, who challenged Richard Simmons to a wrestling match, and won. :v:

yeah I'm not saying it was bad, it just was the absolute opposite of what I wanted it to be :v:
I played my first game of D&D with some friends tonight. We played 4th Edition and I made my character a Dragonborn Paladin. Dude is so tough it's awesome! Was good fun for sure and I can't wait to continue next week!
Just wish I had better luck with rolling the dice. Most of my attacks missed because I kept rolling 1's...

Have fun playing with roll under percentile dice systems when all you do is roll 100s.

fuck fallout
Apparently the tamed giant scorpion we stole from the sand people doesn't leave any remains behind when it eats a human corpse.
This is terrifying, but also incredibly useful for the obvious shady purposes.
No one said the whores were female.
They're female.
Unfortunately they've been sold, but the players being the bastards they are decided to keep 2 whores per player to do with as they want. So combining every piece of advice into a fleet of gay pirates attacking our dinghy while one of the whores beats us up while a team of spec ops scubaknights cuts us to pieces should show them that human trafficking is bad. All hope is abandoned on that campaign anyways.

You try using a different d20? Sometimes they can be a bit lopsided from the polishing process.

why were you going to invite me to it if you wanted it to be even remotely serious
that's not very smart
First session of Shadowrun went beautifully, even when taking into account I nearly killed our entire party by making a lift drop with us on top of it, then nearly dying to a magicked up wageslave about 6 seconds later, and having our lives saved by a weeaboo twice in the same day.
I don't know how but our recent session ended up like this at the end.

I found my new favorite battlecry:
"I'm dangerous, stupid, and I don't know what t do with my hands!"
I'm beginning to think being a wizard in a city of super heroes was a terrible fiscal decision. I've run into nothing but horrifying opposition and terrible luck due to my magic powers, and now I'm pretty sure my latest self-defense attempt has caused the local police force to call superman from his fortress of solitude to come bash my skull in. Let me tell you the story of James Copperfield Aelstron Blackstone, the unluckiest, most powerful not-a-warlock to ever arrive in outlook city.
pastebinned, for your convenience.
I don't know what i'm going to do to fix this (I don't even know if I CAN, since every session these days seem to be 50% plot, 50% everyone reminding me what a colossally evil shitty wizard I've turned out to be), but heed my advice, fellow players. if the GM puts you in a superhero setting, do yourselves a favor and just be a sterotypical johnny do-good superhero. Don't try to be chaotic neutral. It's like playing chicken with an atomic bomb.

Tell me about it, I kept rolling 1's in one session I played and became the clown dwarf because everything I tried to do would go horribly wrong (at some point I had to stack 5 enemy bodies just to climb a wall that was no more than 1 meter high. (it took me like 7 rounds).

Dragonborn Paladin, you're wasting your skills son.
Dragonborn Dragon Samurai is where it's at.

Oh man that sounds so rad

[sp]>greentexting on Facepunch[/sp]
Why would one do such a heinous act?
I've been testing out the starter kit for D&D 5e that I picked up.
I really enjoy it. Combat has been heavily streamlined, meaning battles don't take 30+ minutes to get through. The built in adventure that it comes with is also pretty great.
Can't wait to pick up the player's handbook when it comes out.
