Oh man that sounds so rad
My stats are ridonkulous at the moment. 5d8 60ft Acid Breath on 1d4 cooldown and +17 attack with 1d10+13+1d6 with 19-20 crit at level 9
So for Pathfinder in support of the upcoming Iron Gods Adventure Path (ya know, the one set in Numeria, land of robots and lasers alongside barbarians and magic and stuff and junk), they came out with People of the River, which is a book useful for both Iron Gods AND Kingmaker, ie a more traditionalist fantasy game. But one of the new stuff it introduces is the Nanite bloodline. For the sorcerer. And I have now made my ultimate weaboo final form dream: an aasimar sorcerer who is from Tian Xia (ie Asia in Pathfinder) and also has nanites, thus making her the ultimate mary sue. "I have celestial blood, but then I got nanites and got magic powers! Double special!" At least most people will think my character will have gotten her powers from her celestial heritage rather than nanomachines. And if they ban this bloodline in Pathfinder Society just because of the flavor and not because of any balance reasons I will retaliate by playing a gunslinger in every goddamn PFS event ever, no matter how many passive aggressive jibes I get about how "guns in my fantasy make me uncomfortable" from other players. Also here have the art for the second volume of the Iron Gods Adventure Path. So is there any Pathfinder game out there that will let me play as a nanomachine-infused celestial touched Asian magic girl---I mean sorceress?
that sword is metal as fuck
The real question here is, do they harden in response to physical trauma?
The real question here is, do they harden in response to physical trauma?
they have to, they're nanomachines, son
The real question here is, do they harden in response to physical trauma?
Well kind of. At level 15, "anytim you are struck by a critical hit or sneak attack, there is a 25% chance that your nanites scatter and reincorporate around the attack, negating the extra damage and causing the attack to deal normal damage instead." At 20th level, "you and the machines within you become one. Your nanites consume and replicate your body, allowing swift and radical alterations with little more than a thought. You become immune to bleed effects, diseases, poisons, and gain DR 5/-. At will, you can break down your body and move in a shimmering stream of flying nanites, as if affected by gaseous form. At level 1 you can actually infect people with nanites from a weapon you wield, but the save DC is pretty crappy, at least at 1st level. The poison gets stronger by 7th level and becomes fantastic by 11th. Oh an 3rd level once per day you can do nanite surge, which grants you a bonus to any d20 roll equal to 3+ your sorcerer level.
Another Fallout session for you. Unfortunately, there won't be a game this week. Fallout NY Reboot: Session 5: Mr. Fix-It http://pastebin.com/LX8YqtWn
After their last bout of fun with the trap-infested alleyways, the gang finally emerges into the street again. Continuing on, they encounter and dispatch three molerats with no issues. Continuing onwards, the group spots three raiders heading their way. The raiders have not spotted them yet, though, so Dez runs up to a choke point in the street formed by a few cars and uses a few spare parts to fashion a makeshift bear trap, before he calls out to the raiders and heads back to the other two. Doc runs off and hides somewhere because her player had to go, and the commander of the three raiders steps on the bear trap but takes minimal damage. Then combat starts. Because I'm feeling lazy and don't want to go through the effort of reading the log and translating it step for step, the combat with the raiders takes a while, longer than it should since the party is down a player for this session, the commander of the raider group has a powerful rifle and Dez and Marlowe eat lots of lead. Also, the raider commander was like a god damn tank. And because everyone loves loot lists, they loot from the three raiders: [1] Wakazashi Blade CND: 10/50, [1] Metal Armor CND: 9/50, [1] Roll of Bandages, [1] Loaf of bread (4 uses left), [1] Iguana-on-a-stick, [1] Meth, [1] Black Coffee, [1] Raider Armor CND: 11/50, [1] Bandana CND: 24/50, [1] Protective Goggles CND: 13/50, [1] .22 Rifle CND: 19/50, [20] .22 Long Rifle FMJ rounds, [1] Bug-on-the-shell, [1] 'Hot' Dog, [1] Pack of Cigarettes (5 cigs left), [1] Biker Helmet CND: 14/50, [1] Mirrorshades CND: 15/50, [1] .357-Chambered Mare's Leg CND: 9/50, [12] .357 Magnum FMJ Rounds, [1] Raider Armor CND: 14/50, [1] Spare Parts, [1] Bic Lighter, [1] Harmonica, [1] Brahmin Steak, [1] Compass, [1] Marijuana Finally, they arrive at the parking garage sealed by a makeshift gate. After banging on the door, a speaker above the door crackles to life and they have a short discussion with the man who owns this place, and they're let inside the underground parking garage, where they're hit with a powerful odor of grease, and see parked all around various vehicles in various states of repair or scrap. They do some bartering on prices to get their gear fixed from this repair-inclined gent. End session.
I'm not going to lie, I really want to try Shadowrun sometime. [editline]24th July 2014[/editline] As a player, preferably. I got enough cheesy 80s cyberpunk going on in my Traveller game.
I think there is something wrong with my mentality for writing character backstories for pathfinder, that's inversely proportional to the character's actual power Playing an 11th level fighter? Eh a paragraph or two will do. Playing a 1rst level sorcerer? Fuck it, let's write 1500 words, plus the 1000-word addendum explaining the origins of my powers, plus let's make it all really interconnected and try to fit a justification for every single bit of my background roll in there I'm actually kind of really concerned about being this attached to a character who only has 8 hit points

I'm very confused. Would dwarves not be directly within the Homo genus? Moreso related genetically than Ogres and Giants surely!
That is also QUITE wrong when you consider that Dark Sun has half-dwarves!
Except that never, ever in fantasy, you ever run across the half-dwarves. 1d4chan even talk about that.
Except that never, ever in fantasy, you ever run across the half-dwarves. 1d4chan even talk about that.
Just more evidence that Dark Sun is under-utilized, it was a badass setting.
Well shit, if you guys want to do a Shadowrun game, I'm 100% game. I'd recommend anyone really new use Chummer with the rulebook to aid in character creation because it can get a tad overwhelming. http://www.chummergen.com/
except that's for 4e and 5e is better
5e has way less content though. Which is also why I'm preparing a 4e campaign and everyone is invited!
5e has way less content though. Which is also why I'm preparing a 4e campaign and everyone is invited!
Most things can be converted in no time flat. And most of the things that are harder to port are stupid. Like furries.
Most things can be converted in no time flat. And most of the things that are harder to port are stupid. Like furries.
Unless it's a sloth changeling that is also the party decker/hacker. Then it's highly appropriate.
Dragons can fuck anything, it seems
This is why a dragon waifu is the best kind of waifu. [sp]Many of the Metallic Dragons prefer being in shapeshifted form anyway, so it's not really a matter of if you like scales.[/sp]
Unless it's a sloth changeling that is also the party decker/hacker. Then it's highly appropriate.
maybe so either way, even porting SURGE is not very hard.
5e has way less content though. Which is also why I'm preparing a 4e campaign and everyone is invited!
Didn't 5e just come out though. Of course it wouldn't have any content when the only thing that is out are the main rulesets.
Didn't 5e just come out though. Of course it wouldn't have any content when the only thing that is out are the main rulesets.
yeah that's what he meant 5e's core book actually has a fair bit more content than 4e's core book did, it's just that 4e has an absolute fuckton of splatbooks full ofstuff it's really easy to port over though
Holy shit there's a Shadowrun game going down? How will the game be played? Pure text, voice chat, both?
