so building an Eclipse Phase character
and I am trying to fit in all the nanotech
it's really disappointing that there's no nanohive implants aside from the one that lets you spit your favorite flavor of gray goo at people, though I suppose thanks to the wonders of jury-rigging you could in theory hide some specialized external nanohives in a skin pocket and then just control them remotely
but that's no fun
Nanohive just makes me think that bee plasmid from bioshock, just with robot bees.
I kinda want that now, could probably use some kind of panic rules.
Speaking of Eclipse Maze, I got the Singularity Character Creator, the version that lets me share it with any amount of people I want and not get into super legal trouble! Which is a godsend because jesus christ is it a chore to create an EP character (and yeah I know Transhuman book has alternate ways of creation).
I said earlier I'd be willing to join a Shadowrun game, but if there's an Eclipse Phase game in the future, THAT trumps any Shadowrun game going down.

Talk to Croguy if you can make 7pm GMT on tuesdays if you're interested in Shadowrun, Funk's going to be dropping out of our game sometime soon due to RL stuff, there'd be room for pretty much anyone fighty, sneaky or maybe social, or a mix, we've got a mage, rigger and hacker though, with my street sam and Mellow's technical skills and shooty troll as well. Funk's character is a potentially sneaky punchy adept, who has the personality of a pro-wrestler/luchador, including the mask.

I have no mic and it's not a problem, the only thing that happens on mic is stupid OOC bickering :v: Plus the TS server we were using shutdown, so the last game didn't have voice anyway.

I didn't get it.
...Or I might have accidentally rejected it. See a few years ago I went onto the Skype forums (yeah it has a forum) and posted my Skype information as a language exchange thing for Japanese. Well after the Pathfinder debacle last night we decided to take a break from it (whether permanently or not depending if we fall in love with another campaign more like EP) since we were interested in experimenting with other ideas and systems anyway. I've played Eclipse Phase before and now I'm going to give a go at GM'ing it. You're free to PM/post or whatever if you're interested.
But I do know the guys above are inviting you for Shadowrun so I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to steal players or something here. Just making an offer.

I was going to edit my post but meh.
My game is on Saturdays at 5-6 PM EST. I forgot that the SR game is on a different day to begin with so both are possible depending on your schedule.
I wouldn't mind playing some Eclipse Phase.

alright, so our group of friends did the 5e preview starter set thing and we're finishing up tomorrow likely, and through the course, one of the guys found a stone frog (of little notable interest), but insisted that it was a key item of some sort and put it in their inventory. Over the course of the game, we've turned to making decisions by rolling a die and considering it the will of the frog. Comparable to the Helix Fossil I guess, but they never got caught up in the twitch plays pokemon thing so I can't say it was inspired. By the end of this, we've got weapons adorned with frog motifs and frog cloaks made of beaver pelts we found at one point. We've derailed the logic behind why we're going anywhere and just going on our way by will of the frog, and we've still managed to get to the end dungeon. Gonna be a long day tomorrow.
In the meantime, we're working on our characters for the full-fledged 'Horde of the Dragon Queen' adventure and the friend who started the whole frog thing is rolling a ranger. We realized it would be funny to continue the frog tradition and he asked the DM if he could have a frog for his pet, to which he quickly accepted
now we have to figure out how to make the frog useful. Maybe the in-joke should hit hard and it's actually just a plain old frog and he just keeps convincing people that it's an intensely powerful creature for some form of intimidation or something. I suggested maybe we could find a stoneskin spell to apply to it and make it jump at people then harden into a projectile.
Anyone got ideas to make this work?
