at this point I've already got every small arm I would need, except for a machine pistol because I have SMGs and I have pistols so why do I need the inbetween, got the gauss rifle for anti-vehicle stuff and exceptionally big tanky bastards and mages, got an MMG for suppressive fire, grenade launcher on the assault rifle for applying smokes/flashbangs/frags, and although I want a sniper rifle I think right now until I can afford an AM-47 to load up with Ex-ex and proceed to reduce people and vehicles to confetti there's just not enough inbetween from the AR and the gauss rifle to justify wasting the money during chargen
and obviously got a monowhip and spurs to mess people up with in melee, though that's mostly the physads job anyway
so I think I'm more or less set on heavy weapons, especially since as a practical matter having to chose between which one to carry with me is already going to be tough
You didn't mention any B&E gear there, a lot of which is useful as shit, get at least some zipcuffs, an autopicker, a magcard copier, a tag eraser, and a welder or mono-chainsaw.

Yea I'm was just going through my arsenal there
I've got random useful crap out the ass
though honestly with the party comp we've got I can't see us doing much except shooting things, since we don't have a decker and two unregistered magic users which is going to get us all kinds of hell the instant anyone realizes what they're up against
Oh, also, spare SINs are a great thing to get in chargen, since they're a pain in the ass to get afterwards.

Remember to get a seperate commlink for each, and turn off the wireless on them when you aren't using them.

Lessons learned last night:
1. between the 5 or so beers, shot of Jagermeister straight from the bottle and Jim Bean with coke somethin' really fucked me up
2. Don't try to play RPGs when you're really fucked up
I'm sorry if I messed up the experience for someone but this is precisely why I was pushing for moving the game to Saturdays
[editline]6th September 2014[/editline]
As penance I'll try finishing the NPC sheet once I get over my hangover
I'm not moving the game to Saturday because for one thing, if I didn't drop the two Saturday games I had, it'd still be Friday no exceptions, and secondly it's more convenient for me to keep it on Friday.

yeah, I know, I know
[editline]6th September 2014[/editline]
I'm just sayin', y'know, Friday nights are pretty much #1 choice for people to meet up and stuff and it kinda sucks having the game on Fridays because I don't want to have to choose between hanging out with my friends and playing

I have so much alcohol sitting around my house and I have yet to be tempted

my parents worry about me doing drugs yet they essentially have a giant cupboard filled with hard liquor in the most accessible place ever.

Yeah, but you aren't Polish.
I could probably make some bank if I sell this shit
but I fear my plebby american colleagues will die trying to down bottles of gin that are bigger than my computer tower
My friend decided for his first D&D game he wanted to play a mostly mute Tiefling sorcerer who can't really speak common, so he communicates almost exclusively through me via conversations in Infernal or saying his name with different inflections.
I've functionally become the D&D universes Rocket Raccoon to his Groot.
I played a mute once
Never again
Not being able to explain complex plans or express my discontent verbally IC sucks

Play a magical mute, use presidigtialintegrationmentarialism to draw a sparkly, golden middle finger in the air at the big bad.
on the other hand, being a jawa that can only speak to the rest of the party in preset phrases is hilarious
Just had a Shadowrun session where no one even threatened anyone else. It was surreal.
Coincidentally I was AFK for a lot of it.
So an aquaintance of mine (IMO an annoying Mary Sue maker) decided he wanted to try his hand at DMing. He invited my friends and I to try and break his PF Dragon's Demand game.
My two friends are buddy-cop Drows, enslaving most the kobolds we were sent to kill in order to build an army and take over the town we're supposed to protect, while I'm running around as a chaos loving cleric, having murdered three minibosses mid-monologue with my Earthbreaker so far (2D6+7 damage, and thats just at level 1). Our other party member, a neutral good half-elf ranger, is probably going to be killed by the Drow ('cause racism) next game, but he wants to come back as an evil alchemist so he can help make the kobolds be mutated fucked-up monsters.
We have begun turning the lair we cleared out into our own base, and I realized that we basically derailed his game and are becoming the BBEGs. We currently juggling keeping the town unawares, dealng with the origional BBEG, and the logistics of base building and kobold slavery.
Our DM is doing a whole lot better than I expected. He hasn't pulled a "rocks fall the party dies" on us. He's fighting us the entire way, but within the confines of the rules. This went from a campaign I was playing solely to see if I could break it to one I'm really enjoying.
DM'ing Pathfinder is really quite fun, once you get everyone set up with characters. Even more so, when, as an introductory quest, you have everyone go and burn down a church, which ends up with the fighter crit failing, almost killing an ally near him, and then proceeding to get critically stabbed with a long sword by one of the many battle-maids they had been slaughtering to that point.
Also, if you're looking for a lethal joke enemy, battle maids work quite finely.
Battle maids are good in any situation
My original shadowrun character was going to be one before I slapped myself because there was no way I could take that seriously
Also fond memories of rogue trader where we acquired an army of catgirl maids whom later formed a death cult to a god of yarn

yeah I'd like to join games you play
So one of Pathfinder's new classes is the Shaman, and you can select different mentor spirits that affect how you play your shaman, what powers you get, and what minor boon your spirit animal will get.
Well I picked the Heavens spirit, which gives your spirit animal a fly speed of 5 and whose skin can be used as a star map. So I convinced my GM to let me take the feat that lets you evolve an eidelon, and I used it on an octopus so that it could survive on land.
My octopus familiar can now a) be used to chart the night sky, and b) float. I am also playing as a Mongolian changeling (no not the Eberron ones, these ones. I am so fuckin' pumped to play as a magical girl with a flying star octopus familiar.
Related: a person who I don't know and joined this same group as a fellow player criticized my decision to 'waste a feat' on giving my familiar the ability to fly on land. Just pick an animal that already lives on land, he says. I wanted so hard to call him out on how much of a fucking munchkin he sounded like, but I guess ignoring him infuriated him more since he really wanted to give me tactical advice. Also all of his jokes are incredibly forced and vulgar; I counted maybe a dozen rape jokes and fucking UNIRONICALLY USED THE ARRROW IN THE KNEE PUN
I guess I gotta deal with That Guy again.

I play nids so I know the feel
180 shots from two squads of gaunts never gets old
I was GM for my friends in Pathfinder last weekend because I recently bought the rulebook and bestiary. It was extremely fun, and I can't wait to play more. For some reason, we have difficulty keeping our characters in games we play because either someone doesn't like theirs or we all lose interest in the story. But this game we all agreed that the characters are fun and the story is good, so we finally decided on one game to keep. Probably the most memorable part was in their first "dungeon", I homebrewed a weak wererat boss for them to fight. My friend playing the paladin rolled the highest initiative, swung a morningstar at the rat with a natural 20, confirmed the crit, and then one shot him before the rat even moved :v:
So i'm curious as if anyone would be interested in playing a pathfinder with me as dm. Before you jump on the occasion to get a group, i'm only looking for the group, it'll be a good while before we start up if at all. (depends on college and my other dnd group) so shoot me a PM if you're interested and i'll talk with all the potential players.
And feel free to include any questions in the pm instead of just "i want to play"
[editline]4th September 2014[/editline]
oh and before i get to mention, I will GLADLY help new players interested in pathfinder
I'm reposting this to let you all know there's still two slots if anyone is interested, everything in the original post still applies.

I'm gonna be running a Pathfinder game soon using the new Numeria stuff and I have no idea where to start when it comes to this stuff. I might pick up Iron Gods just to start off with and go from there, but it seems so strange with the robots and such. I hope they like it :v:

You should tell them it's going to be set in Numeria. Not everyone likes sci fi in their fantasy, and they can use the tech-themed archetypes in the book too.
