About 1000 of them.

Also some shock gauntlets or knucks could be good. And armor.

B&E gear, a car (big enough for the team plus gear), medical supplies (and drugs), extra sets of ID (and comlinks), explosives if you want to take ranks in demolitions, grenades (and ranks in throwing), bling, and a really nice apartment.

Reminds me.
Why have I not bought myself any Deepweed yet? I am a black mage, after all. :v:

why haven't you actually done any hedonism at all yet

Because erp is gross and the only drugs we've run into are the cocaine you sold and your combat drugs.
You should invite a demon to possess you and then commit debauchery with your body while you're out for vacation.

Black Magic isn't a possession tradition and demons don't technically exist in Shadowrun. :(

They do, actually. They're just Spirits of an specific Astral Plane that feeds off of suffering.

I am not summoning shadow spirits to possess me that is a very not-good idea and I will not do it.
Just make a pact. They'll use your body to cause pain and suffering, and probably also give you power and summoning benefits of other Black Tradition Spirits.

The rules are more like... guidelines! You don't NEED to geek the mage, or shoot straight, and sometimes it's a good idea to deal with that dragon.
:v:
Yeah, but if you do, odds are you're gonna look back on it later and hate yourself.
Most people in SR hate themselves anyway, go for it.
Dunno about y'all but I'm kinda glad that 4th edition and 5th edition Shadowrun moved into the post-cyberpunk part of things. Yeah the world's a crappy place and monolithic megacorporations are the world's highest authority, but there are places that are legitimately nice to live (and not just for the rich), and technology isn't always used for evil ends or by morally bankrupt people. Cyberpunk was originally made to counter-act the ridiculous utopian sci-fi that dominated its time. Nowadays cyberpunk is basically over the top dystopia, ie exactly what it was trying to counteract.
It's all very well saying "never cut a deal with a dragon" but if it's a halfway decent dragon you won't even realise you cut a deal until it's too late.
Or you'll realize you cut a deal with a Great Dragon's human form mid-run.
Doesn't one of only war splat books have rules for Traitor regiments? Wonder how hard it be to make a Khorne one..
Khorne is just basically "drop these guys in a village and attack things that aren't red until they're red enough".

honestly a lot of cyberpunk is just too dark when you compare it to Gibson's stuff
the Sprawl trilogy has quite a bit of people helping each other and in general just being human as opposed to grimdark selfish dicks
sure, there's tons of these in the setting, but the overall mood always seemed more... hopeful, even?
and that reminds me I still gotta carve out some time for the goddamn low-level cyberpunk game finally I really wanna run this shit
welp decided as much fun as I was having with my retardedly OP streetsam in Shadowrun playing someone with debt and also what felt like the lone beacon of sanity in the party was too much, it was cool in theory but just super stressful on me, especially when stuff happens like us blowing up literally all of the loot on a run we were doing on our own dime
so I sold off all my guns to pay off my debt and went legit to host a talk show
and thus giving me an opportunity to play the decker I've been having fun building, who is both not in debt and also not a beacon of moral stability in a party of violent murderers and evil mages
Also some shock gauntlets or knucks could be good. And armor.
shock gloves are utterly shit for people who are actually good at punching
get knucks though
and armor is essential, get the biggest armor you can afford

Weren't you calling me a do-gooder for not wanting to kill everyone?
Great, now I'm the lone beacon.

It's stressful being the leader trying to keep Axe, Rockets, and aforementioned mages in line
So perhaps I should rephrase 'sanity' with 'unit coordination'
We can return to the anarchy that usually results whenever we get into combat, and I can cease trying to impose my plans onto everyone
So feel free to return to jumping into rooms full of cybered-up marines solo
So today in shadowrun
We fought another team of runners, which consisted of 4 snipers, 2 guys with guns, a toxic mage, and a decker in canada, which went well enough
Our mage animated a car and used it to ram a helicopter, which I recorded on my overwatch drone. Meanwhile our adept kicked a sniper off a building and stole her gun, our troll ran around axing people to death, and the technomancer sniped at a bunch of people while my decker fought theirs
I nearly killed their decker through the internet, I got him unconscious and link-locked but someone pulled his plug so I didn't get the chance to make the finishing blow, but considering he was knocked out I'm willing to bet the dumpshock caused some serious brain damage
and then afterwards, we ended up roleplaying faffing about for about an hour and a half, getting lunch at a restaurant, then chilling in my high-lifestyle apartment watching trids with our mage and the technomancer, then the physad climbed 20 stories up the outside of the building to bring us a veggie pizza and bruce lee movies (we ended up blowing a hundred nuyen on a real 3-meat pizza for the rest of us so we could have a real dinner)
we also looked at the black mage's disgusting porn collection and sold videos of the hellcar destroying the helicopter to the media
That sounds pretty damn fun.
I wanna play Shadowrun again :(

Is anyone running any Warhammer 40k/Fantasy groups?
I really want to get into one.
why are there like no post-apocalyptic fantasy settings???

You called?
Really, though, if you use google it's not that hard to find a post-apoc fantasy setting.
Hellfrost is another good one, but Dark Sun is way better.
It isn't super common but not unheard of either. It really depends on what you consider "fantasy". Did you mean middle ages high fantasy style stuff or just fantasy as in magic and supernatural beings? If it's the latter there is a SHITLOAD of them. It's post-apoc high fantasy that is harder to locate.
Seems like it would be very easy to make your own post-apoc high fantasy setting
