Not yet, we ran out of time as we were delving into the wasted, EMPed remains of the kink superstore our mage had annihilated, and the spirit had just jumped into the troll's wired reflexes, so we're gonna finish it next week Also my decker is probably short at least a few san points after this, due to said spirit explicitely being described as 'sounding like the static screams of a hundred tortured souls' And meanwhile the mages are all 'magic experiments!'
Man Expedition to Ravenloft is deadly Nearly killed my party twice already
The 3.5 one or the AD&D one? The AD&D one makes the 3.5 one look like a summer stroll.
The 3.5 one or the AD&D one? The AD&D one makes the 3.5 one look like a summer stroll.
thats always the case though
thats always the case though
Not by as much of a margin. Castle Ravenloft kills the shit out of people. It's no Tomb of Horrors but that's because it's traps are actually detectable and not COMPLETE bullshit.
I remember when we ran White Plume Mountains. That dungeon is a load of dicks to low dex armour wearers. "Dont drown in the massive puddle of water! And now its time for the massive boiling tar pit jungle gym! Oooh, and now the heat corridor which only hurts people wearing metal. And finally, a frictionless room with spike pits." For facks sake.

Seriously though how do you pass the room with the panel-protected boiling water.
I ran White Plume with my party and they decided to fuck the dungeon halfway and just left The super tetanus was far enough
Chronische put Geas' on us, otherwise my cleric wouldve been like "Ha... ha... no thank u." Nah but it was fun, just unfortunate that the first and only time my cleric got to be tested was when he was useless.
Bunch of pansies! You all could have survived, you were almost done in fact.
Anyone watch Rollplay Solum? Man last night was a hoot, I'll not spoil it, but my favourite comment from the chat during the stream was "Darude - Saltstorm" due to how salty several people were getting (Quite legitimately imo) I'm also working on a chainmail shirt for one of the cast, so that's pretty fun working on it while watching the stream.
So in our Mekton game, I single-handedly highjacked Dai Gurren, intimidated the robot crew into making me Captain, claimed myself queen of that castle, then proceeded to steal an entire parade of high-tech mecha to fuel a revolution, after stopping a nuke from launching on our allied forces. I'd say I did alright for a 16-year-old girl.

Jesus Christ I love our party.

I want to find an online game to play, because I want to try other types of games instead of only the AD&D 1e I play with my friends, so I can introduce them to new stuff. Any one got any openings?
Check out Roll20, not only does it have a wide selection of games to play, but it also has a virtual tabletop!
Be warned, Roll20's GM's on the Looking For Group feature are flaky... to put it gently. And by flaky, I mean 6 of the 6 games I signed up for didn't make it to the first session.
Most recent session had the halfling Bard suggest that I carry him up a 100 foot vertical climb so we could "distract" the dragon at the top of a tower while the rest of the party charged in (after they used the perfectly functional stairs to get there, of course). I didn't see the face the DM made because me and the Wizard both just sort of blankly stared at one another.
In our Pathfinder game, we needed to convince the local wealthy merchants to fund our military coup against the cultists that have co-opted the city's governments. Naturally I, with my +12 to Diplomacy, went to gather the investments. Another party member came along and aided me, increasing my bonus to +14. At the end of the day, we ended up with a pile of 17132 gp, basically for free. I'm thinking that if I crank my diplomacy bonus higher I could start a religion or something.
My players are all only level 2, but we have spent the majority of our 16 sessions in a city fighting underground crime, starting a fire cult, investing in businesses, forming an adventurers guild, etc, etc. I'm putting all my effort into making sure they don't get too powerful at such a lowel level. Currently, they have left the city on a 2 week (in game) journey to a Holy Site to confront a powerful cult leader that is harassing them, and by the time they get back I'm planning that their guilds and stuff will be doing pretty good, but I want them to feel like it's been a slow, realistic, and rewarding process. So that when their guild has 20 recruits and is making a couple thousand gold a week, they don't take it for advantage. It's all original content so far, so it's pretty tough, but so far Chapter 1 was the city, Chapter 2 is the journey to the Holy Site, Chapter 3 will be the Holy Site and Confrontation, and by the time they are done Chapter 3, the engineer they have making them a sailing ship will be done commencing Chapter 4 where they sail around the continent willy nilly being pirates or something.
My players are all only level 2, but we have spent the majority of our 16 sessions
What system? and why such slow progression? Perhaps I'm a bit thrown by that because I've been running a Savage Worlds game, and at 21 sessions my players are at 42xp, basically halfway to max rank in that system. Also, one of my players, who built his character for shooting, diplomacy and leadership. I'm renaming him the Wild Card Killer, regular mooks? Wild animals, he's surviving well but he is hardly the most devastating motherfucker. Boss fights? 30+ damage on the first round with a 2d8 rifle and exploding dice loving him. It's insane, and pretty fun to see.

Pff I just give my players a level every whenever I think they'll good and ready. No but really, I reward XP for good RP mainly and a slightly meh amount for combat. If I played with anyone else but friends who I knew were capable of RP that would be different though.
so making Mutants & Masterminds characters is fun I basically made the dude from prototype as a cute anime girl but sue me I'm a man of simple tastes
so making Mutants & Masterminds characters is fun I basically made the dude from prototype as a cute anime girl but sue me I'm a man of simple tastes
Meanwhile I made a magician. And I'm not even sure if I want to stick with this guy, but I've decided I at least have to go ranged since everyone else has a primarily melee character.
Remember kids, no matter how high your stealth roll was, firing a musket indoors is pretty fucking loud.
Remember kids, no matter how high your stealth roll was, firing a musket indoors is pretty fucking loud.
Might just have been the wind...
What was THAT noise? -leaves the room
And depending on the GM, the game you're playing, and the rolls you made, there's a good chance a bush will cause more noise than a firearm shooting.
whose footprints are these
