I didn't realize kobolds and lizardfolk were all ninjas.
Believe me, it'll make sense in context.
Oh right, the map that I posted last page is fully finished: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19459374/drakesmouth_finished.png[/t] Now to write all this shit down on a document.
And then the nearest day you can all find the time to play is in February. 2050.
I don't think there are enough cities better put some more in pronto
please no don't make him try to make up more city/country names
please no don't make him try to make up more city/country names
Trust me, whatever he can do is nothing compared to the shadowrun campaign running on SA at the moment, they infiltrate a hospital called "St. Obama's hospital" in the first session :v:

Is that supposed to be celtic/irish because I'm irish and I can tell you it's disastrous :v:

Times like this when a little bit of advance preparation, or at least a proper fantasy name generator appropriate to the campaign setting, comes in handy.
REICHPORT HEIL [editline]23rd November 2014[/editline] goddamn cro did you just reduce Gallia to a small town
Gallia was obviously never a country. At least according to the rest of Subcenderia.
Gallia was obviously never a country. At least according to the rest of Subcenderia.
You better make it a country or you'll get Valkyria on your ass
You better make it a country or you'll get Valkyria on your ass
Frankly I'm more worried about Celtia :v: . There's going to be a lot more blackmailing and bitching about names in Drakesmouth, I'm telling 'ya.
Anyone tried 5e yet? If so, how did it go?
Anyone tried 5e yet? If so, how did it go?
Everybody died
Anyone tried 5e yet? If so, how did it go?
i was melted by a baby dragon in the first round. 10/10
Everybody died
Sounds promising.
So I've vaguely played D&D in the past (plenty of other games) and a friend of mine is gonna run a 5e game set in Eberron soon. Another friend and I are going to play a pair of Tiefling twins. What can I expect from 5e? (I'm playing a Sorcerer)
Caster classes aren't useless at lvl 1.
Agreed. If anything casters are far more devastating. My party has a caster that has been able to screw with everything the DM has tried to do and the DM is having a hard time writing in a way to counter his abilities without being unfair. Trap on the ground? He's floating, doesn't trigger. Poison darts hit? Immune to poison. Enemies out of range? Uses a summon to effectively double his range. Dude's crazy. Makes for some intense fights.
Any recommendations for useful Cantrips and 1st-Level spells? This is my current lineup: Cantrips: Fire Bolt, Mage Hand, Message, Prestidigitation, Thaumaturgy (From being a Tiefling) 1st Level: Chromatic Orb, Thunderwave
Speaking of mages, does anyone want to join a Mage the Awakening game? We need 1 more (or 2 at most) players, best timezone would be in the GMT+0 region, games on fridays. PM if interested.

Both what spells you can choose to learn, and how many you can know. Excepting certain utility spells, which sorcerers have access to very few of anyway, pretty much all lower level spells are utterly inferior to higher level spells now, so remember to take advantage of your ability to change one of your old, low level spells into a new shiny higher level spell every level as soon as you begin getting access to new spell levels. Also wild magic is way more fun than boring draconic shit.

Message sounds like it would be useful, but personally I find that in practice you will basically never be in a situation where it will help much. Minor Illusion on the other hand is great for simple little tricks, if you use it right. I'd also recommend gutting Chromatic Orb and replacing it with an utility spell. Personally I don't think wasting a precious known spell on Chromatic Orb is worth it when you already have Fire Bolt, it's only marginally more powerful, and it will quickly wear out it's usefulness at higher levels.
