The Campain setting revolves around the world of Lathusa, around 3000 years after an amalgamation of catastrophic events that wiped out the majority of humankind. The few that did survive rebuilt what they could in the new torn up landscape. The world of Lathusa at the time of the Campaign resembles the Middle Ages in terms of themes and technological advancement, although it does have elements of the Ancient world depending on the Region and their progression since the great Catastrophy. As for the Campaign itself I don't really want to spoil to much as the point in time, although the world is sort of going through a "transitional" period that the characters will be experiencing either indirectly or directly depending on what they chose to do.
I was thinking of having a Skype session either tomorow or sometime this week coming to help build characters and if anyone had any specific questions about the World and how the game will work (It will be running off a simple d20 system). A

I'd say I agree, but if something has stats, the players will kill it.

Everything dies, you just need the right weapon.

I've been confused for a while on what that means in regards to BAB

True Fae don't have stats... I think.
Not even the Power-gameyest players can defeat something with +1 Plot Armour.
They can if the DM uses metaphors and the players make rolls that would make those metaphors reality.
I'm referring to a thing I saw where someone's DM said the cell they got locked in was so cold "your nipples are as hard as diamonds" and then another player used his diamond nipples to cut open the cell door, then kill a guard.
I've been confused for a while on what that means in regards to BAB
Normally, you get one attack, made at your regular attack bonus, if your Base Attack Bonus is +6 or higher, when you make a full attack action you can make a second attack at a -5 penalty. You get a third attack at +11 BAB made at -10 and a fourth at +16 BAB made at -15.
Alright- First of all, let's get this out of the way;
Psionics are fucking amazing, and I love them.
OK.
Now on to the important things;
I have three interested parties wanting to play Exalted. Please message me on Steam, and I'll create a group for those who wish to play. Looking for 4-6 players, with a preference for five.

FYI your steam link doesn't work, atleast not for me.
Yeah, it's giving me an error.
Wat. But it's linked to my account. :v:
Well, it doesn't make sense, but here's my account;

I hate standard crafting, I really truly do with a fiery passion, it's garbage for probably 99% of all parties that want to bother crafting. My group has heavily invested in crafting (they're long-term characters, and we have a persistent world so they want their characters to have skills other than killing things) and with the RAW rules about crafting you simply cannot get anything done worth a damn in a time that is consistent with most campaigns. There's also no incentive for them to craft with RAW. It takes some 20+ weeks to craft Full-Plate which at best could net you 75% of the cost back, and that's before the cost of materials and provided you didn't fail any DC's and have to pay for more materials. By the time you can reliably craft Full-Plate you could make a thousand times the profit of the Full-Plate by simply adventuring for the 20+ weeks and killing things.
It might be semi-realistic in terms of time but it's not any fun and its logical place in the world falls apart when you actually start to examine the value of the gold coin. Factor in what levels actually mean for 3.x systems, and that almost all the verses exist with magic (and have spells such as Fabricate), it quickly becomes clear that standard crafting doesn't even function realistically or logically in its own rules/lore. I just can't believe that such an intricate system is so broken in so many ways like standard crafting is; the system is supposed to work alongside the many others but there's so much mathematical evidence that it simply doesn't make sense in its current state.
Having said all of that, Making Craft Work was the best thing I bought for my group in a long time. It made their investment in craft worth a damn. It might not be entirely realistic but it certainly isn't boring anymore.[/rant]
I once took the Bone Knight PrC in a 3.5 campaign and one of the class features is a bone full plate with neat effects. That you have to craft yourself. After getting like three levels in the PrC, I still hadn't completed the armor and just as I was about to finish it, my character died. These craft rolls were all made with like +30 to the roll because of several spells.
So the lesson is to never craft a full plate. EVER.

Sounds about right. Basing crafting time on the price of the item is ridiculous.
A note to everyone who plays games, please tell your GM in advance if you can't come. Its no fun having all your players waiting for one guy.
Obviously emergencies are the exception.

They're hoping you play without them, and when things get rough for the party the person suddenly shows up and saves the day. The life of a flake.

Yes, but what that guy doesnt know is that someone else already told the GM in advance that he wont be there.
And in a group of 5 people, we now have to wait for him to show up or not, because we cant play with just three people.

Why not? Take the person's character (who never shows up) and control him as the DM. Don't help make any major decisions (aka, don't suggest that players go a certain direction, because you know what is there and are biased), but help with combat, split the treasure normally, etc etc.
If you're willing to play with 4, and one guy is just always late/doesn't show up, it doesn't really matter if you leave that guy out.
I know this may not strictly be the place for this but... Any good mods for Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2?

I did that once by having the rogue step in to an unseen teleport trap. But when there's quest-y shit planned for the session and we're down 2 players, it's easier to just not play.(On both my part as the DM and the part of my players since they'd have 2 mindless drones following them through battles that I'd have to do all the rolls for. That or I'd have to come up with a reason for their characters to not be there and take a nerf hammer to the shit that was planned for a 5 person party to make it fit for a 3 person party.)
