Another image for the 'somehow manages to describe my last Exalted game' pile.
Fucking Sidereals.
So I posted the other day about how we told our dm we weren't putting up with his shitty campaign anymore.
He brushed it off and then today while I was afk he had a 30 minute argument with one of the other players about how "we're just lying and we're all gonna play tonight because we can't stay away."
It's like watching that one kid from school that no one wants to be around and they don't see that they're the problem.
Who doesn't like fighting undead abominations lazily stitched together from ancient horrors? I know my players do!

So what're you going to do? Because I think that's the point where I'd just leave.
Hello everybody!
I'm new to the scene of Dungeons and Dragons, but I've wanted to play for a long time. So recently I gathered a couple friends and I also downloaded adventures and the guide books (plus Dungeons and Dragons for dummies). We all made characters and rolled the dice for their abilities, but I just can't progress anymore. Maybe it's because I haven't had time to research, but I feel like we're completely stuck in making characters. We've made names, races, etc, but I have several questions that I just don't find an answer to. For example: How do I determine AC? Etc.
So if anyone of you could be a lamb and help me with the characters. I need a little guidance.

AC is 10 + armor bonus + shield bonus + Dexterity modifier + size modifier
Depending on the edition of course.

Check out http://www.myth-weavers.com/ if you're not good with sheets, their sheets do a lot of the maths for you and are pretty well laid out, like so.

I like to pretend that I'm like a time wizard, and the events were actually concurrent.
Storytime: Exalted edition
At the start of the session, a bit of in-game storytime involved someone atop a big silver disk thing in the sky above a mountain disembowling children and infants and throwing their organs aside like he was bored with them. Then he lit all the organs on fire and disappeared.
Then gameplay kind of started, and we each received/found a letter asking us to come to visit this seer on top of a different(I think) mountain. The sorcerer(Elowin) was the first to arrive, and he headed straight for the tavern to try and woo some chicks with his 15-year-old appearance. I showed up shortly after, and when I got to the market outside the tavern, my appearance 5 made every NPC immediately stop and turn to appreciate my impossibly attractive physique. I wish I was joking. I made my way in to the tavern, too. Then the Solar knight(Fremontsmith) showed up and stumbled past the crowd of bewildered townsfolk in to the tavern, and we met the innkeeper. She gave us a map of the path up to the Seer, and my high lore+intelligence roll told me that even though it looked old, the map was actually quite new.
We left the tavern by the back door and slipped away from the pursuing peasants, but were followed by the Terrestrial knight(Trooper), who pretty much joined the party by way of being capable of getting us all killed if we decided not to let him. :v:
After a bit of walking, we were in a forest, and the ground suddenly rumbled a bit, a mound of snow falling from the mountain on to the area around us. Then, the ground turned gray, as did the trees around us, and the undead abominations mentioned by Oliolio earlier showed up. I drew my soulsteel dire lance, and stabbed at one twice, bisecting it and killing it. Then the sorcerer hopped on his windblade(hoverboard pretty much) and floated up above to avoid fighting. Terrestrial knight swung his grand daiklave(greatsword) at 2 of them. He hit one, but his second swing was a botch, and he ended up wrecking some trees. As they fell, the Solar knight vaulted over one and impaled another abomination. Then one of the trees landed on my leg and crushed it, pinning me to the ground. I still managed to take out one of the last few abominations though, and then the remaining 2 were just vaporized by the storyteller.
The Solar knight lifted the tree off my leg, then the sorcerer landed and did some magical healing to fix me up. And that was the end of session. I also made an occult+int check to learn that the whole graying out of the ground and trees and the abominations were done with necromancy, probably using a Labyrinth Circle spell. (The second of the three circles.)

What was his campaign like?
Drew a picture relating to what happened to my character recently. I asked my DM if I could somehow roll for an intimidation check against the tree people.

Apparently Imageshack considers it too naughty.
So one of the players in my group just lost sight in one eye after rolling a 1 on a reflex save to avoid a big gout of fire.
I also tried to teach our half orc barbarian with 7 int how to speak draconic. GM had both of us to roll Intelligence for how well I taught and how well he learned. I got 8, he got -1. I really hope he never meets a dragon or he will get his head bitten off or something.

Any tips for creating Pathfinder enemies? I'm going to be getting the core rule book soon, but not the bestiary.

Sort by CR on the srd.

Depends, is it your own monster that hasn't been thought of before? Or is it a specialized person like an assassin in some sort of guild in your world.

Check the Pathfinder srd for monsters and tweak them as needed.

Has anyone here ever run or played Geist: The Sin Eaters? I'm going to be running it for Uni friends and would appreciate any help or insights anyone has.
So any fellow Eclipse Phase enthusiast look at the Transhuman player's handbook alternate character generation playtest material? By God does it look awesome. I made two characters, a Jovian military veteran and a hypercorp spy, both in half the time it normally makes to make a EP character. Also super hyped on 16 more pregen characters (the more to draw in new players with), and the FATE Core conversion.
does anyone happen to be gathering a group for Kingmaker and is a GM?
I wanted to play Kingmaker for a long while now

Wait, there's a new way to generate characters? Because Eclipse Phase is a great system and all but character generations takes a long time.

If there was a GM and he was hosting Kingmaker and he asked in this thread, there would be a war trying to get into said group.
Wait, there's a new way to generate characters? Because Eclipse Phase is a great system and all but character generations takes a long time.
Two new ways. One of these uses pre-created packages to build characters, and the other builds off that system but uses random elements to add twists. The book will also have rules on creating your own morphs.

But yeah, if anyone is planning on GMing a Kingmaker game. You should tell us.
I would offer to do so but I'm in enough games as it is.
If Dark Heresy ever falls though (emperor forbid) I'll honestly consider doing it.
Me and a bunch of guys I know want to get into rpg stuff online, and the guy whose going to be running it has picked 4e seeing as it's everyone involved's first time.
I decided to use myth-weavers char sheets to put mine together, and I think I got most things in the right place.
http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=590158
Can anyone tell me if there's anything glaringly wrong with it?
