The Half-Fiend race must be of evil alignment. So a Half-Fiend simply can not become a Paladin, just going by the rules. Antipaladin, on the other hand...
So one of my pathfinder players wants to take the Rich Parents trait (900 more gold at start).
Most people would use that money to buy a masterwork weapon, or armor, or something like that.
Not him. He bought 4 riding dogs and so many items that it nearly fills the mythweavers item sheet.
You guys have a character sheet? I think I'll make a character and see how that goes.
We don't currently have a faceman, the closest we have is a snoop for disguises and stuff and a fixer for black market dealings.
When you're making your character bear in mind the campaign is a Freelance Crime/Heist Campaign, chances are you're a professional criminal of some kind.
Also try and make your character have some sort of mental flaw
just because you'd fit the common theme much better that way
our 80 year old narcoleptic illuminatus is arguably my favorite concept for a character
I don't know if a mental flaw is necessary, but chances are if you're in this criminal network you're not a good person.

I relayed your recommendation.
Now has a collapsible bathtub, grooming kit, perfume (female character), and a dozen other things.
"I was going to buy the 6 second hourglass, but it was too much. Had to stick to only the essentials."
Such as a masterwork snorkel. Campaign is nowhere near the sea.
He's playing a rich female and he doesn't have fifty pairs of shoes and an outfit for every day of the year- 0/10 would not believe

Again, I know all of this. He, however, doesn't care. He has a severe case of special snowflake syndrome. And the DM already has a sinister plot planned for the paladin, so I guess I'll see how it works out later tonight.

I do so hope he is a brooding anti-hero with a dark past, long silver hair, and a trench coat.

Something non-gamers will get, and they have to be snappy since I've got less than 5 minutes of presentation time, funny pictures would be top.

So I may be joining a Black Crusade game, even though I've never played any Warhammer 40K apart from the first five minutes of Dawn of War II.
And the sad thing is, apart from the GM, that means I have the most experience with any of the games in the setting. And I think I've picked up a fair amount through nerd osmosis, so I should be good.

I am planning on bringing that audio along as a little extra at the end of the day or something, but not in the presentation since it's too long.
I turn my back for like a week and everyone starts playing Call of Cthulhu.
Stop copying me ya daft bastards!
Anyway, I've been GMing a game with some of the guys in the thread and they all decided to die on me 30 seconds apart from each other in totally stupid and random ways, thus throwing my whole time traveling storyline out the window. I died a little on the inside when that 98 hit the table on a homebrewed lightning gun and I looked at the notes for it.
"The gun explodes and then rapidly implodes into a single point, everything in ______ radius vanishes in the blink of an eye."

Anyway, last week I finally got the nerve to basically reboot the campaign with everyone playing either a minor character from the last game or someone tangentially related to another character. Janus' character was part of the Supernatural Assessment and Neutralization Division (S.A.N.D) of the US government. Until his character caught a face full of fire thrown by another of our PCs (the only one who survived, but their player is kinda awol ATM so I dunno if she's coming back) the organization had never faced actual supernatural phenomenon and were simply comprised of pencil pushers and the like. After subduing the player Special Agent Smith was assigned the task of finding out how she was able to float and cover herself in flames. The agent was also asked to bring about a professor and his intern (the other PCs) at the college where the firey PC worked in order to identify some items found on the premises.
When they get to the place they all start dicking around until they make their way to Floramel's rape dungeon full of random treasures. As they start looking through the stuff (none of which is identifiable except that they are runes and various Nordic paraphernalia ) two voices are heard coming down the stairs behind them in thick German accent complaining about the previous owner of the house. Smith decides to sucker punch one of the two as he hears them enter the crime scene who immediately falls backwards due to the force of the punch. His partner, previously referred to as Adolf, then drew a shotgun out of his coat and held them up.
Long story short after much swearing in over exaggerated accents they got away with the runes in a fancy German car. The gang then got in their car and with a series of great rolls managed to catch up with them just as I put on this music . The chase ensued and nobody took any damage until Smith tried to ram his car into the German's getaway vehicle. Bad move, as the other German simply took the shotgun he had previously been shooting at the party and aimed it at the engine block. The Germans simply then shouted auf wiedersehen as they drove off and left the player's car dead in the water and the music ending at the perfect moment.
Anyway, after a bit of research they learned that the germans were part of a secret organization called the Thule Society. They're essentially the supernatural worshiping organization that the Nazi party grew out of.
They then went to retrieve some more items from a warehouse the Floramel had rented, at which point they were once again faced with the Thules. At which point they decided to fire on them with their pistols.
While they were outnumbered 2 to 1. After some fighting that nobody seemed to be winning not-Adolf german got really pissed off and decided to start whipping out his blitz, by which I mean he started floating and shooting lightning at the party. Yeah, things didn't look good but thanks to some quick thinking, an oil drum, and a 97 from the electro-nazi all but two of the evil doers were dead.
Two below 10 rolls caused the electro-nazi to explode into a fleshy paste and the only enemy with a weapon to have it shot out of his hand (after which he surrendered).
And that is how a game that I really didn't want to do turned into fucking awesome.
I don't know if a mental flaw is necessary, but chances are if you're in this criminal network you're not a good person.
oh i know would just add so much more if everyone was flawed somehow
i can dream
Just so long as everyone doesn't go "CN complete insanity so random lel" it won't be that bad.
If you're a professional criminal that specialises in high risk, high profile crimes and potentially gunning down dozens of people for money then chances are you have at least some kind of mental abnormality.
Seeing as my recent Pathfinder group recently fell out I'm going to be starting up my own Pathfinder group (most likely Pathfinder but subject to change if something more interesting is suggested). The campaign itself will be derived once I figure out who will be playing and some other data from the players that would make the ideal campaign for all of us.
If you're interested then read this handy-dandy copy-paste I grabbed from my last group 'advertisement':
Everyone who is interested in attending, even those who have already talked to me over steam, please PM me with some basic information in the following form. After I've narrowed down the player base to the most compatible group of people (timezone and schedule-wise) then I'll determine what kind of campaign we'll be going for. If you know me then you might get precedence in playing but experience in PnP or anything else really isn't an issue as long as you can talk and are a likable person.

I've found it incredibly difficult to get people organized properly without a unified way of inputting information so excuse me for the OCD but filling this out would really help me out and determine which people I should get in the session.
We'll probably play over roll20 and use on VOIP program of some sort to communicate.
Contact me via FP private message, this thread, or Steam if you have any questions.
Thanks, can't wait to get started!
So I found a download for the Exalted 3rd edition Abyssals preview the other day. While reading through it, under an example reworked Deathlord(The Bishop Of The
