So the super hero themed campaign I am in went awesome. It's basically a super hero training college with sparring and battles and whatnot. 2 of our players were missing so we did a 3v3 fight versus another team, first one ever. Other team was apparently the best of team of the freshman class and had only lost 3 battles (AFAIK, a battle a day and they had been there for a month).
On our side was:
A guy who can go invisible and control light/darkness (high stealth, AOE debuffs)
A guy who can grow an exoskeleton and shoot bone fragments and stuff (super durable and high damage)
And me, who can control gravity of objects and make gravity wells (including speeding up and changing direction thrown objects by making gravity affect them sideways)
Against us were:
A guy who controlled water (basically exactly a waterbender from avatar)
A girl who controlled lightning and electricity
A guy who controlled iron
The other two on their team spectated.
They started off with some fancy teleporting stuff where water guy and metal guy teleported to lightning girl. I ripped the tiles of the floor and made them no gravity to make a moving shield as I went forward, stealth guy went invisible and bone guy followed me. Metal guy made a wall of shrapnel, water guy dove into a pool at the side of the arena and lightning girl just kinda moved forward into a sort of pit at the center of the arena.
I broke my tile shield into bits and shot it at lightning girl and metal guy, managing to lightning girl right in the head. Water guy teleports over, meaning all of them are in this pit. Stealth guy blinds them with a blast of light, but they seem unaffected. We figure out that one of the two spectating people must be somehow helping them with telepathy or something. Bone guy starts beating the shit out of metal guy in the pit. Water guy and lightning girl both retreat to the far end of the arena. I make a huge gravity well there, knocking lightning girl out and trapping water guy. Water guy starts trying to collect water to the gravity well.
Metal guy ends up bleeding into unconsciousness in the fight with bone guy. Stealth guy blinds the two spectating people, water guy loses control and goes unconscious. We win the round. One of the spectating people nearly goes berserk but is stopped by the other. They all leave angrily, except for lightning girl who is dragged out still unconscious from the head wound I gave her.
Our DM told us the encounter was designed so we would lose and see the value of teamwork, but then we worked ridiculously well together and ended up demolishing them with no knock-outs.
Great fun.
After a small play test, it seems that the dodge action in the system I'm making is stupidly effective against gunfire, so I've nerfed the shit out of it, but I might keep the previous rules for it as some sort of perk for someone heavily invested in reaction boosters.
After hacking together a homebrew scifi system (for which I asked for ideas for weapons in this thread) I actually managed to get my group together and have a playtest and a oneshot session together. Surprisingly, the consensus among the group was that the system was actually good! Now I've fixed some issues and Alpha 2.1 of AOYUSG (As of yet unnamed scifi game) is ready for future testing!
Coincidentally, I'd really like a name for this system but everyone I know sucks at names, so if anyone has any ideas, feel free to share.

I say keep the name as is.
So there was a picture of Mask of Winters from Exalted in the new kickstarter update.

10/10 Would blindly follow in to battle.
So I finally have a story worth telling here.
The game is Black Crusade. Our group is myself (a combat-focused Chosen CSM), a Heretek (who's the brains and charisma of the group), and a Sorcerer.
Today's session started with the Tek and I meeting an employer in a really seedy strip club. The Sorcerer had missed the last (and first) session, which the GM explained was due to him doing too much warp dust and ending up in the Warp being raped by demons and shit. He was brought back in during this session, clawing his way out of a vagina-shaped rift, buck naked, covered in pink slime and with his ass sewn shut.
Well, we clean him up. I leave to go grab him some clothes while the Tek finishes up the negotiations (sadly, the Sorcerer refused my idea of borrowing outfits from the strippers). I go to an alley, find a pair of druggies, and in my worst Austrian accent say "I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle". I fumble the Fellowship roll (it was a dump stat, along with Intelligence), so I have to intimidate him by revving my chainsword. I get the clothes, but Druggie #2 decides to pull out a freaking heavy bolter on me. I score some awesome rolls, splatter him with a single burst from my legion bolter, and add his weapon to my inventory.
After some more miscellaneous stuff, we decide to head first to the market district. We decide we're going to grab some extra gear, then try to follow up on a lead for the magical McGuffin we're after (our employer had sent a team to find it, they succeeded but then double-crossed him; he's sending us to hunt them down and get it back). I buy a totally game-breaking plasma pistol - with my Sustainable Power and Power Supply Tampering mods, I will never run out of ammo and never have to reload this gun. We're in a drug den to stock back up on warp dust and booze when things go so wrong it becomes gloriously right.
Somehow we decide to rob one of the drug dealers the Sorcerer was trying to score dust from, mainly because she had a shitload of money. I get told to "go loud", our code phrase for "make a distraction", while the Sorcerer seduces her and the Heretek grabs the loot.
I deliberately bump into a guy, then loudly accuse him of stealing from me. I try, but fail, to throw him into a security robot. He throws a punch at me, which I dodge; he falls on his face and passes out. People are already running away at this point, but I keep up the charade of a fight and elbow-drop him.
Roll for damage.
Perfect 10.
His head pops like a grape, covering myself and the security robot in blood and guts. The rest of the gang has split - the Heretek is already halfway to our ship with 30K and a briefcase full of enough drugs to recreate Fear and Loathing, while the Sorcerer is getting "mad laid" with the drug dealer chick.
I grab a satchel I spotted, and walk out like nothing happened. Hell, I try to get my heavy bolter back from the weapons check. The place is going into lockdown, the guards have guns drawn - the largest has a heaver melta pointed at me, powerful enough to vaporize me and most of the crowd nearby. I try to talk my way into getting that gun back, but fail. As I'm walking out, one of the other guards tries to pistol-whip me with a revolver - I dodge, leaving him flat on his back. I spit some acid in front of him, but leave and hail a cab back to the ship.
So we all meet back up, and start going through the loot. A *massive* amount of drugs - literally some Fear and Loathing stuff. Money. And...
The fucking McGuffin.
It gets better.
We also find a bomb in one of the bags. On a timer. Three minutes. We take off, and I'm the one who's throwing it out the hatch.
I roll literally the worst roll of the entire game. The bomb goes off in my face. Fortunately, it's hallucinogens, not actual explosives, but that takes two of us immediately out of commission.
Then we get a text from our employer:
"..."
"I'll find you."
The Heretek talks to him, and it gets weirder. Turns out that our employer and the drug-dealer chick we robbed and fucked... are the same person. Shapeshifter.
So obviously any attempt to convince him/her that we aren't double-crossing her/him fail, since we literally, if accidentally, robbed him/her blind. However, we did basically solve the entire quest without even trying to do a single mission-related thing.
Mission accomplished, I guess? We not only got a very powerful magical artifact, but we get to keep it. And there's the 500 lines of warp dust, 300 sticks of space weed, some space crack, space booze and a pile of cash equal to about 200 times our starting cash. We're probably going to have dozens of bounty hunters after us, but hell, we can take them. We never even really got into combat - I was the only one to do any fighting, and both fights were absolute curb-stomps.
tldr; version:
Accidentally robbed our quest-giver
Accidentally solved entire quest in doing so
Massive plot holes ignored
Sex, drugs and an elbow drop from the heavens
Hey, this may be stupid, but is it possible to play DnD online in a group? Because I doubt I know anybody in real life who plays it, and I've never played it, but it seems like a great game.

Yep, for my Pathfinder game I organise shit in a skype group, use http://www.myth-weavers.com/ for character sheets, roll20.net for combat maps and the fact that all the PF stuff is online, free and legal, is nice too; http://www.d20pfsrd.com/.

Started my new AD&D First Edition game with my friends.
The party consists of Dunn Grobb (Half-Orc Assassin), Bardy Stout-Dale(Halfling Bard), Buddy Guy (Half-Elf Cleric), Alfmore Elendil (Elf Fighter/Magic-User) and Phil 'The Killar' Millar (Human Paladin).
My friend playing the Paladin announced he wanted to 'Lay hands on [himself]' to heal, and so the first running gag has become one about masturbation. This seems apt.

Make him lose his paladin powers for laying hands on himself, mastraubation is against the will of his god.
It would be a funny side quest for atonement

You'll notice that Paladins trade in their gentlemanly (Or womanly) stamina in order to heal themselves, since touching themselves is only a swift action. Those few facts single-handedly murdered multiple game sessions with my old Pathfinder group.

Thanks, in advance.

Whoops. At least making fun of paladins never goes out of style.
So, superhero college campaign again. We almost brutally killed the entire other team. And by almost I mean that one of them suffocated to death, one of them had all their limbs torn apart and one lost a leg and bled to death.
Us - Unnamed Team, B rank
Me, Bjork Swedenson - Low B rank. Gravity powers. Power increase to A rank because we were on home turf in a kitchen (because I am swedish chef)
Aaron Benderman - High B rank. Bone exoskeleton, can shoot bone shards and extreme strength.
Blake 'Blackout' Knight - A rank. Controls light and darkness, very good at stealth.
'Dirty' Sanchez - B rank. Very good senses, master marksman, can curve the path of bullets.
Them - "Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse", A rank
Death - A rank. Controls gas, vapours and has some sort of time control.
War - A rank. CQC expert, superhuman physique and strength.
Suffering - A rank. Gets extra attacks and heals when people take damage near her.
Pestilence - A rank. Can transform into swarms of insects. That's all we saw.
The goal was the other team has to defend a dummy and get it to their side. Dummy is in a thick durable glass bunker. Our job was to kill the dummy or get it to our side.
Turn 1:
It starts off and War and Pestilence move up towards the center. Blake goes invisible and moves forward, Bjork throws a bunch of knives at War. War deflects them all with her sword but is pushed back somewhat. Death and then Aaron move forward. Suffering basically catapults her way past War by shooting a chain blade into War. She lands on the other side of a 4' wall from our guys. Sanchez blasts her with a shotgun and she's pushed back.
Turn 2:
War bursts forward and sets up an energy wall of some sort. Pestilence turns into a swarm of bugs and splits into two. One half towards the group, one half towards the objective dummy. Blake stealths up behind Suffering and War and tries to backstab War, but is caught and stabbed in the chest with a sword. War breaks off the sword in his chest. Bjork uses gravity powers to pull Blake to safety and then heals him a bit with a delicious meatball. Death makes a field with no air, but falls to suck Aaron into it. Suffering catapults her way over the wall and group and lands next to everyone.
Turn 3:
War moves forward to attack Sanchez but fails, Pestilence begins to cover the little bunker that houses the objective dummy. Bjork throws Suffering at War, Suffering shoots her chain blade at War and catapults back to where she was, hurting War heavily. Suffering starts attacking really fast from all the pain War is in.
This is where shit starts to go down.
Aaron grapples War. In her attempt to get free, Aaron rolled really high, and War rolled really low. Both of War's arms snap, and her knee is dislocated. She falls unconscious. Suffering keeps attacking people.
Turn 4:
Pestilence bug swarm now completely encases the objective dummy bunker. Bjork and Blake do a tag team attack where Bjork sets up this huge downward push of gravity at the bunker and Blake shoots a spear of light at the bunker. It does enough damage to shatter the entire thing, and gravity causes the glass to plummet down at massive speed, killing all of the Pestilence bugs and the objective dummy. Also Death gets hurt a bit, but is still up.
We win from killing the objective dummy.
But that's not all. Pestilence reappears at the other swarm missing a leg. War is still bleeding profusely. Suffering has gone insane due to all the pain the two are in, and continues attacking Aaron, managing to make 7 attacks in a turn instead of 1. Bjork slows her down with heavy gravity, Aaron traps her in this bone tomb thing and tries to grapple to keep her from moving. Death rushes over to try to calm her down. Bjork rushes to Pestilence and War to try to save them from bleeding to death.
Suffering doesn't calm down. Death realizes she can't calm Suffering down and tries to remove all the oxygen of the bone tomb (Aaron holds his breath), and Suffering starts suffocating.
From what I can imagine, War and Pestilence die of blood loss before they can be saved by Bjork. Suffering's superhuman health means she doesn't go unconscious until she is dead, and thus struggles until she dies of suffocation. Death is the only survivor of the team.
Bjork, a more gentle soul, goes into a deep depression. Aaron blames Blake. Sanchez becomes an alcoholic. None of them will talk about what happened to the one team member who wasn't at the match, the team leader. The team, having nearly killed someone last match and killed 3 people this match, gets a dangerous reputation.
The DM basically stated at this point that everything went terribly wrong and he didn't want the campaign to be so violent and gory, and intervened to make it more lighthearted.
Rewinds back to when Aaron grappled War. He manages to throw her down and she goes unconscious. Suffering gets only a small bonus from it. Blake and Bjork realize they can mess up the bunker (Pestilence isn't on it yet), and destroy the dummy and win the match.
They all go out for pizza. Blake and Death flirt with each other, team is on good terms with each other. Our team goes up to A rank having beaten two of the high ranked freshmen teams.
The best superpower I've found for these games was effectively alchemy, turning one object into having the properties of another. I.E. Turning a lead rod to a cotton rod.
In Mutants and Mastermind, theres a tier, which doesn't cost that much I might add, which any material takes on the properties of another. At quite a range. Air included. And you don't have to see the object to change it.
So effectively, what you could do is turn the air inside someones lungs into arsenic.
Best power ever.
Looking for a second game. Anyone need another player or thinking of starting up a jaem?

There should be a cyberpunk system based on the Fantasy Flight WHFRP/WH40kRP d100 system.
