We've only had two sessions, but I'll give a storytime of the first Angel, the debriefing and the ballad of ice cream Joe when I get a chance.
You call these complex ice cream orders? Let me share one I invented while actually working at an ice cream shop.
I call it "Death By Chocolate":
Waffle cone, large, dipped in chocolate. Chocolate ice cream, with the following toppings in layers (alternating with more ice cream):
Thin Mint cookies, crumbled
Brownie bits
Hard chocolate pieces + chocolate syrup
Top with a layer of chocolate dip, then pour on hot fudge, chocolate whipped cream, and chocolate sprinkles.
And a cherry on top.
FYI You probably mean EDT aka GMT -4, because Daylight Savings.
(Or at least last time you gave us an EST time you were ready to play at that time EDT which is 1 hour earlier.)

I'm fine either way I just want to be sure you know what time you're actually giving. :v:

Honestly I'd just like to murder the face off of whoever decided that daylight savings time was necessary in a world that doesn't use candles as the primary source of nocturnal lighting anymore.

This is why I enjoy Arizona, but also why I hate it. No DST here.
As Elowin once said, timezones are literally Hitler.

Quiet probably the funniest things i remember are either Wizards told me to do it or the bedroom thing from session 2.
People starting a game?
Aww.
Oh well.
Anyone else starting a game and looking for players, 2nd or 3rd edition D&D?
I've never played before, but we could try to organize one via this thread I guess, I'd very much like to learn to play, and I have plenty of free time.

I'm up for it, I'd just rather not DM. I've DM'd too many games recently.
2nd edition it easy enough for players, since most of it's complexities are handled by the GM. 3rd edition is quite complicated, as it allows for HUGE customization for your character. You should read the players handbook for 3.0 or 3.5 if you get into that edition (not even mentioning the crazy amount of unbalanced extra classes)
Is there some sort of free resource for the handbooks or do I have to order a physical copy?
I've looked at the wiki's in the OP but it says homebrew, which doesn't quite seem like something properly published to me.

There's one here for DnD 3.5, and this is for Pathfinder.
I don't believe there are any good ones for the other editions of DnD.

The DnD wiki isn't that good, but the d20srd is pretty great. It's lacking a few things, like deities and class descriptions, but it's mostly flavour. You'll probably also be able to find scans of the books in PDF-format pretty easily somewhere, but that would be illegal. Well, technically using d20srd without owning the players handbook is also illegal, I think.

no one gives a fuck about that though, because WotC are assholes anyway.
Alright, thanks. I'll get reading.

They don't do BattleSystem anymore, no Boot Hill, no
Spelljammer...
What the fuck WotC! Getting rid of your best systems while Forgotten Realms gets all the work despite being the most boring setting. I'd rather see some Ravenloft stuff, but they'd probably ruin it too (the 3.5 Castle Ravenloft is shitty shit shit compared to the 2E version)

I'd like to say that they did it because Forgotten Realms has the biggest fanbase out of any of their settings, which is true.
But fact is they litterally retconned the entire fucking setting in 4E 4noraisins.
so I guess it's just brand recognition.
FYI there's probably some wikis somewhere around for the fluffier bits of D&D that aren't on the d20srd.
Or at least there's one for Pathfinder that I've used every so often.

Yeah, my sadness meter just filled up and is starting to gum up the other worky bitz.
In terms of wikis for D&D Fluff the wikis tend to be divided up by campaign setting, for example there's the Forgotten Realms Wiki
Anyway, now that sadness is over, any of you chums want to play some good old Shadowrun?
