Just made a monk at lvl 3 with Flurry of Blows combined with Combat Reflexs and Greater Monkey Hits the Gong, He is able to do up to 6 attacks each round at 1d8+3 per attack. Once I get him to Drunken Mater Pres class, It's going to be fucking sweet.

Who needs potions of flame breath when you have alcohol
Especially considering 'setting everything on fire' is generally a brilliant tactic in any situation
Yes?
I'm assuming you read the /tg/ thread I made ages back.
I read Doomtires too, and I remember it being written slightly differently and posted in the 40k thread.

He's using oil flasks combined with Alchemist Fire flasks as thrown weapons if he uses his "How did I get here?" Ability at lvl 4

Oh, I thought I posted it here.
As to the slightly different, really all I truly remember was the las cannon breaking and wrecking the marksman's arms, the fact I ran over a shit load of orks, and the fact that I killed a warboss with a crit-tire.
So if some bits are different that's why.

We faced off against Macho Man Randy Savage as a boss in Spycraft.

Dude stopped the Rapture and thus the Apocolypse (though at great cost), how in the hell were you supposed to defeat an accurately stat'd Macho Man Randy Savage?
Alright so, my two cousins and their friend have all made a character for our d&d adventure. Right now we have a dwarf cleric, an eladrin ranger and wizard. My sister is going to make a character as well later this week. I'm thinking of not telling her what everyone else is just to see what she chooses. Would that be perfectly fine for a level 1 group?
I ran an improvised game of the Original White Box Dungeons & Dragons last night when half of my group couldn't turn up for our regular game.
We ended up with:
Hammer the Dwarf Fighter, with 7HP,
Roland the Elf (Elves are by default a Fighter/Magic-User hybrid in OD&D) with 3HP,
and Eric the Cleric, who had two hit-points.
Guess who died.

4e is sort of bad at being fun if the party isn't balanced to a certain extent, so I'd say you should probably go ahead and let her know
[editline]3rd September 2013[/editline]
I suppose it's the DMs job to make it work regardless of party balance, but it would help out a whole lot if you have a defender in the party

The main problem is that, especially class-wise, at low levels there's a ton of overlap, and that can be kinda unfun if you end up with one group member who got better stat rolls or whatever constantly 1-upping the other person with a similar/the same class (We had this problem in my D&D group when we started, where when our powergamer cleric joined there was a load of friction between him and the wizard because he basically did all the same things better, skills included) and that can be a bit of a problem
Fortunately, at least you have options. I mean, you might want to tell her you already have two primary spellcasters, and you don't really have a physical fighter, and just let her pick from there. No need to say 'you shouldn't be what you want to be' but at least inform her decision by giving her an idea as to what your group generally looks like
my commentary is based on experiences in 3.5 though, idk if it's much different in 4

Everyone went with a standard array instead of dice rolls for stats, and they actually chose different skills to be trained in instead of trying to one-up each other. But yeah, I'll suggest that she chooses something like a fighter.
If you make a character that is stolen from another source, you're a shitty player and should be booted. For real.
Outside of a joke campaign, don't be a fuckhead and base your entire character on being Blizzt Bo'Burden you fucknut. Try a LITTLE bit please.
What about accidentally making Drizzt Do'Urden clone before ever even knowing what a Drizzit is? That's literally what happened in my very first campaign. I didn't read a single Drizzt book until about a month after I made my character and that one was one of the very few that weren't even about Drizzt specifically. (It was The Silent Blade which is mostly about Wulfgar.)

You rolled up a ranger dark elf that is TOTALLY MISUNDERSTOOD, FOR REAL GUYS before even knowing about Drizzt? That says something about how shit of a character he is.

not really
Drizzt was pretty fucking unique back in the day, it's just that these days litterally everyone and everything has done a shitty rip off character.
Sort of like how Tolkien-esque fantasy has become the norm, despite being quite unique when it first appeared.

Not really. You read much Forgotten Realms stuff? I suppose it was more interesting than Greenwood's self insert bullshit but UGH the MOPING and CRYING and WHINING that Drizzt/Wulfgar do is unbearable. I liked the Cleric's Quintet though.

he was still pretty unique
almost no one had ever thought about making one of the "monster races" races into good guys at the time

Not in FR at least, sure. In other settings it was a bit more common. Didn't start flooding the settings until 3E though.

it was pretty uncommon in general.
Thus far my favorite Salvatore series was the sellswords series and the cleric quintet.
anybody know where i could find some nice portraits of modern day people? im specificially looking for somebody that could pass for a ceo. somebody who is obviously the bad guy but doesnt look "bad"
Artemis Entreri and Jarlaxle are a million times more interesting and cool than Drizzt will ever be.

Isn't he the alternate bad guy in Tenchu 3: Wrath of Heaven's secret mission "Through the Portal"? Pretty sure those are the same symbols used in the game too.
