human enemies are why molotovs exist
The one good thing about human enemies is that they're all extremely weak to bullet in the face.
The one good thing about human enemies is that they're all extremely weak to bullet in the face.
I love it when a airdrop only has two of Rais' guys at it, because then I can just walk right up and blow them away with the double barrel.
This is probably one of the best 60$ I've dropped for a game. A couple of gripes though, first being some story missions don't have a sense of urgency, for example [sp]when you're getting antizin from Rais, and an outbreak occurs in the tower. You can sleep through a couple of nights and nothing will change. Same goes for the 72 hour firebomb delay[/sp]. Another thing is the inability to block or parry, which is lame considering how every other human enemy can do it. Third is the human enemies and their AI. You can go from cover to cover and try to flank them, but they'll know where you are if they're alerted, so it's really difficult to get a drop on them once you've alerted then. Also the issue of getting hit when trying to grapple enemies and then human enemies being more resistant to drop kicks. The diversity of weapons sorta disappear as you progress through the game, and zombie invasions aren't seamless. Everything else is neat though. tldr, human enemies can go suck a chode.
You have to break their line of sight on your last known position, they will sit there and shoot/stare at where they last saw you and attempt to flank. If you manage to break their LOS and flank them they will continue to look in the last direction they saw you in until you get their attention again. I know this from stealthing almost all stealthable human scenarios (like rais' outposts in sector 0). I was quite surprised at how decent stealth can be, and I didn't think they would bother adding in human enemies getting alerted to finding bodies.
this is weird i must be doing something wrong with grapples, because at some points of times I can grapple a human or zombie without any kind of damage or grapple them and still take a form of damage somehow.
sometimes i grapple enemies and pull in to them too. scared the fuck out of me
Does the remove chromatic abberation option on that Dying Light Manager not work? I can still see blue and red lines along the edges of stuff. The tool worked for film grain though, just not the annoying chromashift.
The sewers serve a very distinct and legitimate purpose, which is to allow you to travel from one area to the next... I mean it also serves to further the story so I don't see how it has no purpose.
TL;DR Were the devs given more time on this game they could have made a lot of parts in the game more interesting.
I agree with your conclusion but not how you got there.
Does anyone have a screenshot of the DLC outfits and the Juggernaut and Soldier outfits?
Finished the main story so I guess I'll give a score. 9/10, best zombie game I've played.
[sp]rais's gun[/sp] is the best pistol gaudy as fuck i love it
where the heck do you get that? i beat the game and must've missed it.
so what the fuck is up with me spending multiple hours of in-game time scavenging ammo for guns and then i go to fire the gun once, ONE bullet fires, and then my inventory tells me i have absolutely no ammo for any of my guns
where the heck do you get that? i beat the game and must've missed it.
[Sp] It's from a sidequest you get from someone that blasts music from his apartment in sector 0, at the end you find Rais's old apartment and inside a case you find his gun.[/sp]
I don't know where to ask this, but I was thinking of buying Dying Light on g2a.com. Does anyone have experience with the site? How does it work if I buy this? https://www.g2a.com/dying-light-steam-cd-key-preorder-global.html
I haven't had problems with G2A but it's a shady as fuck website as other people have told me.
So they just email you the key once you've bought it or what?
So they just email you the key once you've bought it or what?
I don't quite remember, been a while since I used it. Edit: Checked with my brother, he says they might but he isn't 100% sure.
I bought a spintires key from g2a. Got the game okay, but it was JANKY as fuck, kinda like if you've ever downloaded STALKER mods off of russian sites while inebriated. Make sure to triple or quadruple check that you're getting the right key for your region.
So is the game worth 45?
So is the game worth 45?
I'd be willing to say the game's worth the full price even easily.
So they just email you the key once you've bought it or what?
They send you an email with a link and it shows the key to you on the site where your orders are. Over the past year I've bought 11 games from G2A without any problems. No idea why people think it's shady. I've completely stopped buying from Steam unless there's something I want on a seasonal sale.

https://www.g2a.com/dying-light-steam-cd-key-preorder-global.html
Personally, I bought Shadow of Mordor from them for super cheap and had no issues with the key not working or anything. However, a day or so after I bought my game from G2A, my credit card company called me and said that they were sending me a new credit card because I used it on a "known-fraudulent website." So use it at your own risk and just monitor your bank account for a while afterwards if you feel so inclined. That or use a a Visa giftcard (I don't actually know if you can or not) or something so there's no tie to your bank information.
Picked it up for $35 pre-order on a key site without any issue.
Spoilers ahead, don't read if you haven't played trough the game yet. Also, excuse my terrible grammar, I'm a bit tired and can't be arsed to proof read this right now. This game could have been so good (not saying it isn't, but it could have been a lot better), but it falls flat on so many small things, those small things amount to some glaring issues. Sound issues was a major thing that could have used more polish. As it is now, they spam zombie growls as ambience (with no zombies around) in the middle of the day wich ruins immersion. Important or interesting quest dialouge can get cut of by other sound cues like regular messages from the tower. And multiple times, my watch bugged out and made the "night incoming" beep non-stop. This came out of both the ps4 controller and the game itself until i rebooted. Bomber zombies is like the worst thing. Never knowing if opening this door will be an instant death or not is bullshit, and the damage should really be based on distance instead of alwayhs being insta death. Also as previously mentioned, the sewer levels and the tower climbing just feels like they are in the game to cross of some points on a checklist. They fill no real purpose as they are now and could have been something other than to waste/extend play time. Tower climbing was reduced to a first person assasins creed so most of the time you are staring straight at a wall, or (metal bars when it comes to the radio towers), when they could have been taking inspiration from more than just the mechanics of mirrors edge. If they had more parkour "puzzles" like in mirrors edge i feel like the tower climbing would not have been such a chore. Smaller versions of this map would have been way more interesting. And i get that Mirrors edge was carefully crafted as "parkour puzzle" while Dying Light is an open world game. The open world maps are really good and shows a lot of talent went behind it, so given more time I think they could have made certain parts of the game more interesting. A good example of a bad tower would be when you climb this big ass radiotower in a storm. There is no real difficulty behind it, it just takes a really long time to get to the top. This is meant to be a big moment in the game, and is made to feel "epic", but i just wanted toget it over with. Even Far Cry 3's tower climbing was harder than this, and that says a lot. And I dont even know what they were thinking with the sewer levels. They showed great creativity with combat and freerunning in tight spaces with the fight in rais arena and the escape from it so we know what they are capable of when actually trying. As the sewers are now they feel very out of place for a game that is based around movement. TL;DR Were the devs given more time on this game they could have made a lot of parts in the game more interesting.
Zombie growls in ambience are immersion-breaking how? You're not the last living human on the planet. There are hundreds of other survivors in the city trying to stay alive and fighting. It's very, very easy to tell the scream or howl of a distant viral carried on the wind apart from the ragged breathing and moaning of a zombie approaching you from behind. Keep your ears open when picking locks and you'll be fine. If you hear a sound like boiling water, get away quick and ready your weapon - There's an exploding zombie nearby. Exploding zombies *do* damage you based on distance, but have a small kill radius immediately around them.

They are considered shady because in the past, a stolen credit card was used to purchase keys which were then sold through that site.
the "cut in half 30 zombies" challenge is fucking bullshit the game loves to autolock you to zombies heads midswing if they get too close and swinging for the middle tends to cut off either legs or heads/arms for some reason its a really annoying challenge and i wish they didnt put this type of dumb shit in if i could turn off the stupid as fuck "lmao zombie about 2 bite you since you're a dumb fucker we're going to lock you onto the zmb head lmao it feels good to cut off heads right?!?!?!" shit
If you're using a controller, turning off auto-aim should be in the controls...

https://www.g2a.com/dying-light-steam-cd-key-preorder-global.html
i bought dying light on g2a the one annoyance is that the price kept going up the longer i delayed purchasing (tried to surf the web for coupons), which means that other people were buying keys at the same time. after purchasing, there was a link that took me to the steam site (the real one) and then the game showed up as a gift in my inventory.
Only realized after end game that you can fast travel between areas via the wall posters.
