One of the things I like about this game is that the weapons have actual weight behind them. It's so satisfying to thwack things in this game.

As you can see you set up the traps the night before and then go to meet spike. Spike then gives you your basic shit and then tells you to go see brecken because his mission failed. In which he tries to go out again that night but you volunteer instead.
fuck it i cant do media tags anymore i dont know what im doing wrong but i give up
You made me go and start a new game, just to find out for sure lol

Wow I really got that mixed up, I could have sworn the night chase sequence happens during the first trap mission.

It gave me a reason to make a new character and choose my perks more wisely this time. I really regretted going with the shield perk right off the bat.
Why is it so hard to find eu people to co-op with [sp]:C[/sp]
I would play with you but I'm not in the right...financial situation at the moment.
"Survive the Gauntlet of Spitters without taking damage."
"Jeez, the blast radius on their spit grenades is pretty large. Good thing I have this police rifle so I can shoot them from across the planet."
The only thing I'm disappointed in with this game is the fact that there's only one kind of shotgun, but at least it's a double barrel shotgun, you feel pretty Doom Guy with the movement speed when using it.
So it takes about 41 care packages worth of points to go from survival rank 24 to 25. Is there any other way I should be doing this? I've just been restarting the game, running around northern old town and killing rais thugs and stealing supply drops. I guess it makes sense that the final upgrade is a huge grind but still I want that 1400 damage katana w/ 3 king upgrades and angel sword mod sooo badly.
Yeah, once you run out of quests getting XP is a bitch unless you repeat them in co-op.
So I just downloaded an update file on my PS4, does it do anything interesting or is it just miscellaneous stuff?
cant do duplication glitch no more
What changes in New Game+? Do enemies just get harder to kill? I would hope that there is better items, better drops from enemies (more money, etc.) and more XP from quests.
Also i'm glad they let you do chapter select and replay story missions with your other completion intact.

I went to the safehouse south and slight west from the tower, right south of a bolter spawn. I just went back and forth between the safehouse and running out to the bolter to kill it, then running back and moving to the next night. Each run gives like 6500 and if you use tackle right before you hit the bolter, it should die instantly.. Its still a shit load however.
If you have any Quarantines left, do all those. There are five in the Slums and three in Old Town. Most give five packages, though there is one that only gives four, and two that are about killing everything instead of collecting packages.
So I just looked up wtf a quarantine zone was and I have never seen that red biohazard symbol appear on my map. I'm 30 hours in and beaten the game and i've legit never seen that shit lol

The first one I found was the [sp]shopping mall in Slums[/sp]. Didn't know if I could get in / didn't show up as one until [sp]I pressed F on the door[/sp].

They tend to have a lot of biohazard sign stuff around, including plenty of large orange and black warning tarps. The game says they're hard but they're really not.
I love how they made one of the most boring tasks in games an awesome experience.
Getting from quest to quest.
Dr Zere reminds of me of Eli Vance for some reason.
quarantine zones are just "kill x zombies" or "collect x packages" with some sort of gimmick [sp](apartment building has smoke so in order to not get damaged every other second you have to crouch everywhere, or shopping mall is flooded and a live wire is dipped in it so you have to jump from box to box to turn it off)[/sp]

[sp]The one in rail tunnel with trains and mass amount of boomers and constant wave of virals... That one was pretty hard... (I was level 10/10 when I've done it on a coop with some random dude).[/sp]
Dr Zere reminds of me of Eli Vance for some reason.
When I met Camden I couldn't fight the feeling that he strongly reminded me of someone famous I think? It's been bugging me that I just can't place it.
Man, fuck the school break in mission. [sp]Tried to get into the place, but a fucking boomer is in front of the door. Get in and think I'm safe, but they have another fucking boomer in that tiny room. Doesn't help that there's 2 spitter things raining down on you the entire time you're on the roof.[/sp]
Fuck boomers in tight areas, just around corners.
I swear, the guy that gives you the "I'm making a movie" combat challenges in the slums sounds like either Quinton Flynn or someone doing a really good impression of him.
Well played an hour and a half, beat all the quarantine zones, turned in like 32 supply drops and got like 300k experience but I guess the game is glitched now because i'm stuck at 474700 out of 475000 survivor experience and can't gain any more.
They REALLY don't want you to get to max level, huh?

Turning around and seeing a boomer on my ass scares the shit outta me, and then there was one where it was just sitting behind a door waiting for me to open it :(
The amount of times a boomer has appeared behind a door and I whack it by accident
god dammit
or the times you dont even see it behind the rest of the zombies and you just die
I was on the bridge fighting zombies, spinning in circles and then one appeared in the crowd and I wacked it.

They're a lot more annoying than the suicide zombies were in Dead Island. I've been playing through it again and you can at least hear them ahead of time, so you don't just reflexively melee them when they pop up. Plus you can jump kick them to a safe distance if you're careful.
Just completed the main story. After 15ish hours of playing (story isn't that long), I've had my fill. But did I ever enjoy each second of it! Though, yes the story wasn't the most memorable, I haven't enjoyed myself this much, playing a game in quite a while. My only gripe, is that the boomer's could have been done better IMO. Having to avoid them before they explode is fine, but they should not appear in close quarter scenarios where you die no matter what.
I would love to see the developers behind Dying Light take the core gameplay, and put it into a cold and damp, S.T.A.L.K.E.R-esque environment.
