you're missing out
also to anyone else using the new dying light manager tool, is your T key broken for accepting challenges n shit?
I loved the Fan Zone quest. Seriously fucked up.
How much did performance increase for you guys on patch 1.4?
I don't get occasional stutters anymore and it runs anywhere between like 70-150 fps according to the steam yoke. Don't know how reliable that is.
Is there any way to stop the game from making you do a slide, if you press sprint after you just released the crouch key?
Some of the actions that you can do should not be bound to your current animation state, but the state of your pressed buttons.. Or is that just me being too used to how other games handle stuff like that?
This Weapon Restoration mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/dyinglight/mods/66/?) is pretty cool if you want to still see wrenches etc at higher levels. It's up to 108 weapons added at the moment.
And I think guns are fun in the right context. I like them used in these kind of games as a high powered backup with only limited use due to ammo being really rare. It's satisfying to pull out your pistol or whatever on some bandits and drop them quickly, but at the cost of using up some of the little ammo you've got, plus drawing in more zombies. I love how gunshots actually attract them.

Well except the money you get from killing creeps is usually well enough to go to any merchant and buy as much ammo as you want. Kinda wish ammo was more expensive. Not that I ever had to buy ammo anyways, its somewhat plentiful around rais thugs.
Also, killing from the infected's point of view with the takedown is some seriously meaty brutal shit.

I went from not being able to hold 40 fps on low to 60 stable with most settings at medium.

Yeah, I've been playing with mods to make ammo rarer but it's still easy to accumulate. I enjoy having half a mag of bullets and really picking my priority targets out.
the fuck is up with the new manager tool
mods don't work, still can't accept challenges, and people say their files are outright getting deleted
Yeah, same happened to me too, it completely wiped my mods folder, froze, and had the watch bind removed from it. I moved back to the previous version and everything was lovely again.
So don't upgrade to the next version of the dying light manager yet? Will mods still work if you don't update?

I always seem to end up dicking around OOB in games.
1.4.0 causes massive stutter and mouse lag for me. Pretty much unplayable given how nice it was before on my system.
Can I roll back patches?
anyone been able to get this game to work on windows 10?
Yup, that new patch did wonders for stuttering. General FPS seems to be up a bit too.
Deep sea diving.

I'd expect it would sound the same when you're underwater anywhere, really.

stock sounds are usually the cause of this.
If I ever hear the Wilhelm scream though in a game, that game gets an instant 10/10
So. I'm one of the few persons here who is considering getting the physical copy for the PS4.
But since there were an error on the discs I wont be able to get my hands on it untill the end of this month. Albeit 2/3 of the DLC's will be included.
I'm considering getting it on PC instead, since I can get it a lot cheaper from gamekeysnow.
Is the perfomance way better now than when the game was launched? And how well would a R9 280x card run it?

Yeah I noticed that too. I think anyone who played Duke3D would recognize the sound.
It's a stock sound no doubt.
I just managed to capture all the safe houses or whatever in the slum area, still on the pact with Rais quest but I don't feel like progressing the story yet.
Are new areas unlocked by story progression or can you just waltz right into them? Can this be answered without any story spoilers?

yeah, just wanted to point it out.

starting up the manager brings you to this window that tells you your version is outdated, and you have three options
A) hit yes to go to some ad.fly link (i don't trust this version)
B) hit no to go to nexus, and a mediafire link pops up as well - since nexus is under review this is the best option
C) hit cancel to return to your current version
Some big ass dramas around the manager. Still a good tool but i will refrain myself from using it.
Anyway if you don't use the manager anymore and need something that was present in it ( like remove chroma aberration ), feel free to ask.

a lot of mod pages have updated their pages to include a different option from using the manager, something along the lines of packing the files into a zip and renaming it data3.pk
Another thing tempting me to buy it for PC is the mods.
I hope someone makes a side-by-side shotgun.

Fuck it, buying it now. I shouldn't have any trouble running this.
