Just throw a molotov at the humans
I just used those concrete rebar things the big zombies drop against humans. Kills them in two hits most of the time and has enough range that they never even get a chance to hit you.
Ok I got a few gripes with this. The combat sucks balls sometimes. Overal it's really nice and enjoyable, especially when dropkicks and leg-breaking slides become available but damn. Coming across hostile humans was pretty much a death sentence. They are tougher to kill than zombies, even the fast ones. 1 vs 3: They all dodge impossible to dodge strikes with my weapon. Their attack animation continues, regardless of wether I hit him in the face with a hammer or not. Their attacks connect even though I used space + direction keys to dodge. I died 8 times in the schoolbuilding lockerroom. Really hate it sometimes.
Exploding throwing stars
There isn't a problem that explosives can't fix. If it didn't fix it, you didn't use enough.
b-but explosives attract the runners
b-but explosives attract the runners
I'm sorry but all I heard was it attracts more targets to throw explosives at. Explosives work best in a target rich environment :v:
Did all the side missions I could up to only having the story mission left to do @ around 20%. Got up to 38% so spoilers around 22%-38% of the story [sp] I had a feeling Rahim had a bite wound, when I got back to the train cart, the game got better for some reason. It was really a big moment to me. Also getting sent to the pit and the cutscenes with that were pretty cool to [/sp] I'm enjoying the story of the game, spoilers I posted gave me some pretty big walking dead vibes.
That was probably the best part of the storyline, it all goes downhill from there in my opinion [sp]and the endgame is downright awful[/sp]
Anybody see this game working on a i3 Dual core 2.0GHz. Iris 5100 graphics. 4GB RAM(Being upgraded to 8GB, possibility of up to 16GB

Just throw one star at the human you want to kill and hit him in the head a few times while he can't dodge, block or attack.
I think its fucking retarded that humans can deflect throwing stars with their weapons. Did everyone become a fucking ninja over night?
Hmm well while the cpu fix does make the game smoother, I still do get stutter around the bridge/bay area. Really something about that area that seems to fuck with my PC. Not sure what though.
I also don't like that human npcs can parry but the player gets no parry function. Unfair. the sounds, animations and particle effects are already there and everything.
Its so stupid that I have seen people hit a human in the head 10 times with a fuckin hammer and he gets up and scratch it off like is nothing. Really?
I think its fucking retarded that humans can deflect throwing stars with their weapons. Did everyone become a fucking ninja over night?
Wait, you haven't become a ninja over night?
how to fight thugs step 1: vault over them step 2: drop attack instant kill step 3: repeat until dead because you accidentally vaulted off the roof
Exploding throwing stars
That triggers the volatiles.
I feel like the guys who developed this game played the shit out of Far Cry 3 and 4 because theres so many similar systems that are arguably done better than they were in Far Cry. Also I beat the game. Ended up survival level 20, agility 20, and strength maxed out. Says my playtime on steam is a whopping 23 hours. That was a damn good game tbh, it deserves more praise but there is a lot of little problems throughout that stop it from being excellent. [sp]Why do exploding suicide zombies instant kill you from such a long range??? and they send them running at you indoors all the time!!![/sp]

Best experienced without a grappling hook. :v: [editline]1st February 2015[/editline]
[sp]Why do exploding suicide zombies instant kill you from such a long range??? and they send them running at you indoors all the time!!![/sp]
[sp]They are coded extremely similar to Dead Island Exploders due to the fact that no matter how high your HP is, it'll always land a instant kill if you're even remotely close to them. It is literally hardcoded, so if you turn a corner and suddenly spot a exploder you are likely dead unless you dodge by reflex. [/sp]
I gotta get this game. The pre-order stuff was still bullshit tho'

A gun is best, one bullet in the head kills them and some of the goons back off and run away if you just point one at them.
I think its fucking retarded that humans can deflect throwing stars with their weapons. Did everyone become a fucking ninja over night?
They can't parry two in a row. [editline]1st February 2015[/editline] Using the double barrel shotgun about Rais' goons makes me feel like Doom Guy, sprinting around at full speed and one-shotting people.
I gotta get this game. The pre-order stuff was still bullshit tho'
Nothing about pre-ordering this game was bullshit
And this thing: https://dockets.dyinglightgame.com/ All this pre-order crap and review embargo made me feel like this game was going to be shit and they knew it, but thankfully that ended up not being the case.
the be the zombie mode being exclusive to preorders was pretty dumb they fixed it but still dumb
In fairness it's not a very good mode anyway.
also flammable liquid + molotov onehits the rebar guys or just throwing rebar in their face
In fairness it's not a very good mode anyway.
I wish you invade a players game without them knowing only until you do the shriek thing to find theme
I wish invasions were done more seamlessly with the game. it's not fun to be thrown into a separate gamemode which will take about 15-30 minutes to finish, interrupting whatever I was originally doing. would be much better if it was done in the same style Dark Souls does it. the game keeps running like it always does, just with another player in your world. once the invader is killed, he's simply gone and that's it. if you die, then that's it too.
