Dying Light feels better than Dead Island in almost every way, but there are a couple of things I do miss from DI. Weapon variety and loot felt a bit more Diablo-like in DI, which I liked. I also miss having more maps to go to, DL's city is good, but I miss the resort level, jungle, etc. I especially like the research lab in DI.

Do you miss the analogue attacks at all? They were really fun in dead island.
Also, the game is 20% off at the indiegala store. https://www.indiegala.com/store/product/dying-light/239140. Might be US only.
I didn't think I would die in this game, but when night time came around I couldn't stop dying.
Also the first time it was night I had a random drop in playing with me and I'm glad I did because I was scared as fuck and I didn't know how to use my flashlight but his was on.

I actually haven't played much with the analogue attacks, can you use them with mouse and keyboard? I'm hoping Dying Light gets as many mods as DI did, I can still go back to Dead Island and play it modded and have fun.

You could, but the "correct" way to use it was controller, unless you liked making huge sweeping mouse strokes.
playing at night with a good sound setup is horrifying, hearing the breathing of the virals right behind you is SPOOKY
How long does it take for loot to respawn in vehicles and such? I want to farm the ten police vans that are scattered across the two sections of the bridge.
Nothing about pre-ordering this game was bullshit
pre-ordering any game is bullshit
How long does it take for loot to respawn in vehicles and such? I want to farm the ten police vans that are scattered across the two sections of the bridge.
maybe around a full day? if you reload the area by going through loading screens the van doors will be closed, but nothing will be in them when you open them.
Call me evil, but there's nothing more satisfying than chopping off a zombie's arms and watching them fall over after trying to headbutt you. Once I had a zombie try to headbutt me in water, it fell and drowned.
CPU fix didn't do anything to my FPS, anyone else?
This game would be so much better if you could kill anyone
And the fact that you're the only runner out there in the world is kinda shitty
I still like the game tho
I just crafted and upgraded a weapon which now has a base damage of over 800. Nothing can withstand it.
It makes me really sad that you stop getting certain weapons after you reach a certain level.
I haven't seen a single knife since the start of the game.
So I found a nice deal on this online, but the performance details people discuss has me slightly worried. Is a 3.8ghz i7 and dual 560ti's ( in SLI) and 16gb of ram going to be enough to not be on the lowest rung of performance? Can I at least get 60fps? None of the Nvidia reports or even TB have swayed me one way or the other.
Man... the screen effects (blur) you have after swimming is bullshit too.
jeez. You're blind for 30 seconds.
BLINK YOU FUCKING MORON

I have a 4670k @ 3.4ghz and a 970
Your processor is better but GPU worse so it's hard to say. I don't get a steady 60 ever, it occasionally drops into the 40s
so i tried to complete the sidequest "voltage"
... fuck this shit man. zombies every goddamn square foot of the place with the super zombies roaming for your dog ass and that dickweed tells me at the worst possible time that i have to get to the hut to turn the power back on.

only it was sunlight when i finally realized you could climb onto those power conduit boxes and then i started raping the zombies with my molotovs

meatbags everywhere
Look at all this dropped loot.
Night time

Protect mission
Guy takes too long doing his shit
2 hours pass and night falls
guy walks down road into a volatile that was highly visible from at least 100 metres away
barely make it back to a safehouse alive
cool it's not like that quest was almost done anyway
The minimap telling you exactly where each zombie is and their view cone at night kinda spoils it, once you know your way around isn't dangerous at all unless you're careless
Though one of the first times I went out at night something randomly exploded right in front me so I instantly got a whole bunch of zombies on my ass. That scared the shit out of me
I'm hoping they can improve the performance, last patch did absolutely nothing for me. fps goes anywhere between 20 and 50 depending on how much stuff is on screen and it's really annoying
I just crafted and upgraded a weapon which now has a base damage of over 800. Nothing can withstand it.
I've got a Pickaxe with 907 Damage, I use in all the time in Be The Zombie since it kills the Hunter in like 2 hits, it one hits if I jump off a roof and land on him when attacking.
I'm having trouble with this game and FRAPS. Noticed the same problem with Elite: Dangerous. I take screenshots with FRAPS because, being uncompressed, they look fantastic. Thing is, when I take a screenshot in this game or Elite: Dangerous, there's a delay of several seconds before the capture actually happens.
Oh god the volatiles oh god
I died and respawned in a safehouse. I died again and now I don't see any volatiles on the minimap or with survivor sense but whenever I go outside it says i've been spotted
I get 80 agility for closing the door and waiting
Also did you guys know in Be The Zombie that your weapons don't degrade at all and that you have infinite stamina?
How are you guys even navigating at night? I can't see SHIT.
How are you guys even navigating at night? I can't see SHIT.
A combination of using your flashlight, glancing at the minimap to see which direction your marker is in and running for your life every time you hear a loud noise.
Also survivor sense, which works like sonar, and boosters for nightvision.
Can I just wait the night out on the first encounter with volatiles? Please?
