The song from Daggerfall's trailer is so good 17:17
Luftahraan, the project that started here on facepunch has been in development for almost 3 years now. Here's a new developer diary :D
so a friend of mine that went to quakecon 2014 (the year that i didn't go) picked up multiple keys for a full copy of elder scrolls online and he gave me one so that when the game drops the sub model in march we can play as fat argonians together.
Did he see the Doom reveal?
I keep telling myself I'm going to do a content freeze with my Skyrim playthrough and I'm going to stop modding and just play starting NOW Well today I'm yet again uninstalling and updating my mods and using the script scalpel so recklessly it's like I'm playing Surgeon Simulator.
If you like quests ESO is fantastic. It's similiar to The Secret World. I didn't get too far before my sub ran out, but I was still just exploring the first bits of the Morrowind area after 20 hours or so. Big game, will be good in VR. The combat isn't fantastic, but Skyrim's isn't either. It's mainly the physics based reactions that are lacking, because it's an MMO.
They'll be improving the combat in the next patch, with better animations and sound design so it'll 'feel' better. Hopefully they'll do a good job of it.
Had to uninstall Dragon Combat Overhaul, as it... well, since the mod author had the brilliant idea of making dragon assaults "better". I ended up getting swarmed by literally dozens of dragons, eventually they would just keep spawning non stop until ctd :v: [t]http://cloud-2.steamusercontent.com/ugc/44242915985539619/53A349543C2FC913244E153C6CCA34E706323C5E/[/t]
I think this got patched today:
Minor edits to assault system to attempt to prevent ULTRA-MEGA assaults. Also edited it so you can actually turn them off.
Bolt-style spells do require you to be actually aiming at something for them to fire, but you never select an enemy to attack.

I seriously cannot wait for this to be released.
i know you don't select an enemy, but when i played the beta, the spells would curve toward the enemies and more than 50% of shots were confirmed hits.
i know you don't select an enemy, but when i played the beta, the spells would curve toward the enemies and more than 50% of shots were confirmed hits.
The bolts will fly towards the target but you have to be aiming at them to fire them, so they should really all be hits. I do get being a bit annoyed by it, but you have to consider that in an MMO it's not really going to happen unless it's instanced. The load it would put on the server would be frankly spooky :v: I'm still holding out that one day someone will implement TES multiplayer in the way I always wanted - drop in/drop out co-op perhaps using openmw

WHAT THE FUCK.
I bought Inigo in with me to the Greybeard peace council for shits and giggles. At the very first term I say Riften should go to the Empire and Ulfric starts bitching about how I'm being unfair and biased towards the Empire (I am but that's beside the point) and starts up his melodramatic speech about how much the Empire sucks. Inigo yawns very loudly halfway through it, which sent me into hysterics. Couldn't have said it better myself.
ULTRA-MEGA assaults
I think the mod author has found the cure for ageing! All this time and he's still 12 years old!
Is there any way to install Steam Workshop mods via Mod Manager?
Yeah. Subscribe to the mod and run the game to let steam download the file and place it in your data folder. Then take the esp and bsa and put them into a rar file and install that through Mod organizer. Unsubscribe from the mod and you're done. It's tedious but there you go.

I was suffering from serious script lag and save game bloat and even after dropping a few script heavy mods things seemed to be getting worse. So I found the culprit: Skybirds. I don't know if it's an inherent bloaty quality of the mod or if like the metaphorical canary in a mineshaft the mod was suffering from the effects of all my mod switcheroos but it was like my game had finally taken a massive shit after three days of clutching its stomach and moaning in agony. My save size dropped 5 mb, I gained 5-8 fps and now I have almost no script lag and can play for hours without a hitch. The terrifying thing: when I was cutting out the remains of the mod, script scalpel removed some SIXTEEN THOUSAND LEFT BEHIND INSTANCES in the game. SIXTEEN FUCKING THOUSAND. It took twenty straight minutes to purge them all.
I have skybirds installed and I've never had an issue with it, even with stuff like iNeed and Frostfall working constantly in the background. Have had save bloat before and I'm still not entirely sure what the reason for it was but my current save file is around 8MB which is pretty normal I think. if I ever start getting fps drops I'll have to look into how easy it is to remove it or remove it and start fresh [editline]24th January 2015[/editline] shame cause as far as immersive mods go it's a pretty neat one
It might have just been all the bullshit mod loading and unloading that I've done and I'm wondering if I reinstalled now I wouldn't have the same problems. Either way, uninstalling it is easy, just save in an interior, deactivate the mod, make a new save, and then use script scalpel to clean up the rest.

Arrows even stuck in the ground if they missed and you could pick them back up, and they arced accordingly to how far you shot from.

I'm going to start a new character that will be female, will use a sword with no shield, and will only resort to items and scrolls for magic/healing. Any suggestion for the race other than argonian/khajiit ?
Redguard?
That'll do, posting a pic of the outcome soon.
Which are the best expanded city mods?
They are all terrible if you want them straight out of the box
