My stuff will remain free. So don't worry, the best content you won't have to pay for.
Many of the mod authors are coming out and saying it's only a timed-exclusivity thing.
Many of the mod authors are coming out and saying it's only a timed-exclusivity thing.
here's hoping it's not them having exclusive features or literally putting the latest version there "want to get the fix that stops the game crashing? get the paid version" [editline]|[/editline] if the worst-case scenario actually happened and all the overhauls and actually good mods were charging you, it might end up benefiting mods that aren't allowed on the workshop as players would look for alternatives in that case, skyrim might just lose all its community apart from the people who treat it as a sex simulator
Many of the mod authors are coming out and saying it's only a timed-exclusivity thing.
"guys i swear it's only until i get enough for a college tuition"
Imagine if the popular waifu body mods went behind a paywall.
This shit is just tragic.. I'm beginning to loose all faith in Valve.. First the floodgates opened up with the early access games, of witch almost all of them are super bad/cheap and will never be finished.. Then they want us to pay for mods? I mean, I can donate to a modder, no problem if I like his work. But paying Valve 75% of someone else's work. Well FUCK that. [t]http://i.imgur.com/yoV0HYA.jpg[/t] I'm only able to find this atm. It's the blades armor I think, + a modified orc helmet or something.
Beth is supposedly taking the lion's share here-- new DLC plan, I guess.
Just today I was thinking about Bethesda adding Workshop support for Morrowind and Oblivion, but now I don't want that to be a thing.
funny enough dying light now has workshop support but everything on there seems to be free of charge
This is retarded as hell. Half of the paid mods are models made in 3 minutes by dota 2/tf2 workshop autors. Disgusting.
[t]http://puu.sh/hodzF/809824a8b8.png[/t] The fuck is this shit? [editline]23rd April 2015[/editline] Spy you ninja
This became a shitload funnier after I found out that this wasn't fuckin' shopped.
I'm still laughing about having to pay to go fishing. That's the kind of shit people joke about.
Looks like they're already taking it down. Some people can't access the mod page anymore and the comments have disappeared from most pages.
Good. [editline]23rd April 2015[/editline]
I'm still laughing about having to pay to go fishing. That's the kind of shit people joke about.
Someone should make horse armor and post it for $30
HAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAH
This became a shitload funnier after I found out that this wasn't fuckin' shopped.
It looks amazing till you see it in-game. Renders are impressive.
Someone brought up something I didn't even consider. Paid mods that depend on other paid mods is something that could happen from this.
[t]http://puu.sh/hodzF/809824a8b8.png[/t]
Hah, you can't even get the armor legitimately. You have to use the console. It doesn't even have a female version. A++ quality mod.
It's gonna be funny when mod packs start showing up on torrent sites like the real DLC since there's no copy protection on mod packs, and the DLC are presented as them
Hah, you can't even get the armor legitimately. You have to use the console. It doesn't even have a female version. A++ quality mod.
Those are $2 each.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=429561499&searchtext= This is the worst one I've seen also fucking hell, midas magic has a premium version on here? Did he say if that was gonna be a temporary thing?
if you needed confirmation that Bethesda is -joking aside- one of the shittiest developers out there, now you have it
HAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAH
Just re-pointing out that Bethesda has not even released tools for editing .nif files. Literally the entirety of this hinges on the fact that people use Nifskope to modify models and allocate textures. Way to fuck developers, consumers and open source right in the ass all at the same time, kudos.
I don't get how these people can even feel right doing this. Stepping into the first step of the death of modding for a fucking 25% cut? No respect for these sellouts. [editline]23rd April 2015[/editline] Someone brought this up "PS: worth mention that you can't get money from Steam until you collect $100 on your Steam developer wallet.. So you need at least $400 in mod sales... that's insane." so fuck them even more

Literally everyone is getting fucked except Valve and Bethesda on this one. It's like a pyramid scheme almost. [editline]23rd April 2015[/editline]
Can I get a source on that? Needs to be plastered everywhere.
On what? The $100 thing or the 25% cut, because the 25% cut is being posted all over. The $100 developer wallet thing is common knowledge but Ill try to find the source
Can I get a source on that? Needs to be plastered everywhere.
It's in here.
Q. Is there a minimum revenue I must earn before I can receive a payment? A. Yes. There are costs associated with issuing each individual payment as well as potential bank fees charged to you upon receiving money that make it prohibitive to pay out for small amounts of money. Therefore, we may hold your payment until a minimum of $100 payout is earned.
So pissed that one of our own is in that list Sparkwire wtf Makes me wish I knew where to find that old picture I saved from here years back. I think a moderator posted it, it was a book with the facepunch symbol that said SPARKWIRE SUCKS DICKS: A STEP BY STEP GUIDE
hahaha i'm laughing my ass off, sparkwire was such a cunt i think i have a screenshot folder on my old when I was younger filled with screencaps of him and his friends harassing me in a facepunch gay steam chat which was used to show the moderators of the chat
How long until Mod Piracy sites pop up?
Is there a list of all the modders who are putting their mods up for pay? I'm going to uninstall and unendorse all of the mods I have from all of those people.
