My favorite mods for these games are things that fit into the existing style, I like what you're doing so far here and would definitely use these.
I agree. These look like they could be vanilla items. There's always more room for variety in the low end equipment too.
I'm seriously considering uninstalling Windows. [sp]am I doing it right[/sp]
i did that a while ago [t]http://jesusfuck.me/di/JP9W/oblivionscreen.png[/t] works pretty good

I am seriously just at a fucking loss for how insidious this is. Back in the day the most 'evil' entity of all time was a website known as thesimsresource, which hid some 'premium' mods behind a paywall. But all you did was pay for a subscription and you'd get access to any and every premium mod you wanted for a month. Somehow, for some ungodly reason, Steam has pulled something worse than an entity known for being the worst thing ever within its modding community. (Thesimsresource has since dropped its paywall too!) What's the worst part is how this is set up so Steam and Bethesda are the only real winners here. If the information about the payment split is right, and a creator needs $100 of profit in order to get paid, it means Steam and Bethesda will earn up to $300 from their work before they ever see a cent from it. And let's be real. the vast majority of mods created and sold on the Workshop won't reach those amounts, but if they earn any money at all, Steam and Bethesda will earn money from it while the mod uploader gets jack fucking shit. I don't even want to think of what kind of businesses practices are going to pop up from people who want to reach that $100 spillover so they can actually get paid for their fucking work
Gabe should be ashamed.
Gabe should be ashamed.
He would but he's busy counting the money it's making.

Now I want to make a mod that adds a single piece of cheese in the middle of nowhere and charge the max price for it, just to show how broken this system is. But then I thought that was fucking stupid.
Now I want to make a mod that adds a single piece of cheese in the middle of nowhere and charge the max price for it, just to show how broken this system is. But then I thought that was fucking stupid.
I saw Premium HD Horse Anuses for $99.99 earlier
Skywind team says they won't be monetizing

pull a peter moneywhatever the fuck it is say that the reward for finding it will be extravagant and for every dollar they spend, they get closer and closer to the cheese
i try not to get bent out of shape over videogames but what bothers me most about this is that Valve are jacking up the price of mods with the 1:4 revenue. the argument is that if it sells, it's justified. this has always been the market fundamentalist's rationale, but the fact of the matter is that there's always one guy that will spend 5 times the amount that 5 other people will which makes it "worth it." i'm in a tough spot right now so i'm all empathy for mod makers trying to earn some scratch, i don't care if it's for beer or tuition, but it's also just morally repulsive to take something that people were doing for free without any expectations of payment and then make it suddenly inaccessible, in part, for most people just because every 5th or 10th person will pay for it. there isn't necessarily a moral economy to monetization.
So fucking tempted to do this [t]https://a.pomf.se/bokojc.png[/t] Btw, this does have that cheese in it.
[sp]Where is it?[/sp]
[sp]Where is it?[/sp]
[sp]I have no clue, I opened a random cell and placed it[/sp]
Do we even call these paid "mods" mods anymore? Shouldn't it be 3rd party DLC now? Basically you make something, and Beth+Valve commission you to sell it for a certain amount, and you get paid 25% as commission fee.
Fucking do it lmao
Do it! [editline]24th April 2015[/editline]
So fucking tempted to do this [t]https://a.pomf.se/bokojc.png[/t] Btw, this does have that cheese in it.
I'll buy it. How much does it cost?
Filled out the W9 form, waiting for approval.
So fucking tempted to do this [t]https://a.pomf.se/bokojc.png[/t] Btw, this does have that cheese in it.
You'll probably be banned from submitting anything to the workshop again plus a general community ban. [editline]23rd April 2015[/editline] oh shit man
You'll probably be banned from submitting anything to the workshop again plus a general community ban. [editline]23rd April 2015[/editline] oh shit man
Meh. It really isn't nothing tho, it has a single cheese wheel.
Meh. It really isn't nothing tho, it has a single cheese wheel.
And who cares if you get banned from WS after this debacle of a launch. WS would probably be disregarded anyway, and we'd just go back to the old fashioned modding scene.
And who cares if you get banned from WS after this debacle of a launch.
I don't even use the workshop, i mean for anything I make, hell, I've only made shitty hammer maps for Gmod, never uploaded them. Oh, wait, I think I made a shitty Portal 2 map with the easy map maker.
We'll always be your friends
We'll always be your friends
thanks babe.
Going back to the mods for a moment I was wondering what people thought of some new weapon types I was developing. I feel like Skyrim needs some more defined niches and one of them I thought would be cool is a very dedicated speed weapon, something you could use as a quick dual-wield back up or as a very quick hitting weapon perfect for agile players and those who depend on stacking enhancements/poison. So I was thinking and I came to the idea of War Knives These would basically be daggers on steroids. They would do even less damage and have even less range but would weigh nearly nothing and attack incredibly fast, you could just keep wailing on an enemy in pretty much an endless assault of a thousand paper cuts. (Along with bigger stealth criticals and higher critical chance) On the other end, I really wish I had a staggering tool, some way of really breaking a block and I've been thinking about it for awhile but I was thinking of a sort of one handed mallet. Sort of like the one handed warhammer/axes in the game, but way heavier and slower, they would pack a big punch but their real strength would be in staggering people. Just looking for some input is all, thank you.
Could you perhaps make a flail? I'm not knowledgeable about modding so I don't know if animating it would make it too difficult. Anyway, I love what you are doing, keep it up!
So I guess Serana suddenly decided to become part Redguard, but only her head. [t]http://i.imgur.com/gPwtO6W.png[/t] ...Interesting?
