On the subject of good mods for older Elder Scrolls games, Midas Magic for Oblivion is fantastic. You don't have to pay a cent to the author, either!
Not yet anyway
Almost guarantee if he could charge you he would, like I said his skyrim version is.
Was the Midas Magic for skyrim created by the same guy who did Midas Magic for Oblivion [editline]24th April 2015[/editline] actually that was a silly question lol
Almost guarantee if he could charge you he would, like I said his skyrim version is.
Watch as every spell brings up a message telling you to please buy Skyrim, then buy Midas Magic Gold
Midas Magic for Oblivion blows the Skyrim version out of the water. And what really sucks is that the latter's first update in years is just exploitative monetization bullshit.
im going to post a shameful plug here (not as bad as loverslab plugs ha ha i would know) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65051/? it has no dialogue, but it has the mechanics. I'm just wondering if anyone is willing to give feedback about how strong or weak he is as a follower [editline]24th April 2015[/editline] midas magic oblivion was hands down the greatest elder scrolls mod in history such a shame to see him to do this
Watch as every spell brings up a message telling you to please buy Skyrim, then buy Midas Magic Gold
You say that but its literally already happening.

A friend form here has pointed out a bug with my follower, apparently if you dismiss him he will stay at the location forever. it probably has something to do with the fact that I told him to run a SandBox package. Does anyone know what I should be doing to make it work properly?
I think you need to assign action / location / event markers for him to wander around to.
actually just fixed it, I created a custom package that tells him to only sandbox when he's not a follower
Wow, haven't been on for a week and this shit happens. I don't blame modders for wanting money for their efforts, but I feel it's the wrong way to go. I'm not about to buy something that will require some other thing than the base game. And a game like Skyrim is really unpredictable with mods; I don't want to spend money and then spend 2 hours trying to figure out why my game is crashing due to some conflict. And some of these modders aren't known for their support, they usually don't care. Though I'm happy with my Skyrim. Most mods I got haven't been updated for awhile (So I assume it's finished) and work fairly well. Plus there are plenty of modders willing to continue for free.

Morrowind had Tamriel Rebuilt, Vivec Expansion, Morrowind Rebirth, MGSO, etc. Oblivion had OOO, FCOM, Unique Landscapes, Deadly Combat, and a bunch of other cool mods. Skyrim doesn't really have anything that compares to that in terms of scope or polish. We have...SkyUI, Frostfall, Faalskar, some quest mods, and that's kinda it. Skyrim still has the worst area map out of all of them, I think, and no mods have really tried to re-sculpt it into anything interesting. I'm sick of Whiterun in a way I'm not tired of any other city, even with Balmorra syndrome in Morrowind.

Also keep in mind that the creation kit is difficult to work with.
Also keep in mind that the creation kit is difficult to work with.
Well more the point it's shittiness has not improved over the years while other games engines and mod tools have improved drastically. Back in 2004 the elder scrolls construction set was good for the time, it's not the case anymore, the tools are pretty awful.
Yeah they are really annoying and the limited variables in Skyrim don't help. You think you can make a shield that takes less stamina to bash with, but no. (Maybe you can with sexy as fuck scripting or enhancement ghettoing) [editline]25th April 2015[/editline] God and like part of the SDK is full jank so some things just shit the bed or give obtuse errors or stupid shit. Its a decent editor but it has tons of stupid snags and a fucking really annoying workflow, with some bigger things having poor documentation.
Modding community isn't as helpful unless I'm going to the wrong place. I asked a simple question and I got no response. I ended up solving my problem through trial and error.
The Creation Kit was pretty hugely delayed after Skyrim's release, we're only now seeing stuff like Luftahraan, Enderal and Skywind come into development.
Yeah, and this whole fiasco now isn't going to help any of that come out faster.
Apocalypse is ten times better than midas magic anyway.
Maybe I'll make a magic mod. Add that to the list of a thousand things I guess. :pwn:
I really want to make a magic mod now that I know how enchantments and spells work. That reminds me, I'm thinking of adding this feature but I don'tt know. My follower has a personality disorder (or is it bipolar), by day he's normal but by night he's an absolute dick. Idk I don't want to wander off into some sort of sparkledog emo territory so I don't know. I was inspired by The Shivering Isle.
Yes, Bipolar is a mental disorder. There is nothing wrong with having a character with disorders, but what is important is that you treat it properly. Deal with it in a mature manner with respect given, good role play options and good reasons for things. Many people with Bipolar realize their episodes are dangerous, feel remorse/guilt and typically also struggle with depression issues as well. It would be best to ask friends, ask people, ask forums, look at life, and draw from it. Just as an artist manipulates the physical elements of reality to give form, you must too create a character born of our reality. [editline]25th April 2015[/editline] As your work is also free as you've decided on, I'd also say to worry even less, there is really a lot less risk on a social/professional level and backlash hitting on you. Risks are worth taking and when I plan on writing my companion characters I had intended to use real experience I and others have had, to form a person that has flaws as any human does.
Are you seriously attacking the consensus and harassing people that don't agree with you, using buzzwords? Grow up.
I actually responded very soon by asking what they were even talking about. 8 hours now and no response. Maybe they're sleeping or busy or some shit but I guess they don't feel like discussing after all :v:
Stop me valve Try and stop me
oh my. Can this be warez, because I hope it isn't! Wait nevermind, they're just mods ;)
Already been confirmed in messages that it isn't under the warez rules for the time being
