It's almost like an apocalypse, scavenging everything you can.

Poison of Business
Makes you rich, sucks the magic out of life.

Steam Workshop doesn't make you rich, it just makes you stupid. I think draining and ravaging Magicka would be more accurate.
Imagine if Valve, EA and Bethesda's HQs simultaneously got hit with meteorites.
Ah, that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

A few people will probably die tho
A few people will probably die tho
That'd be a shame but at least it'd be a freak natural accident! :~)
If paid mods are a thing to stay, then the only thing we can do to prevent other games from following suit is to prove to them that the community doesn't want monetization to even exist. The best way to do this? Just don't fucking buy these shitty paywalled mods.
Gabe himself said that the entire concept lives or dies based on money. If they are only making revenue 1% the cost of damages from the backlash, which he himself stated is the case, then it has already been proven that with the current mods on the market that it is not feasible to keep this up.
It is far too early for them to act on this data, though, but the pattern seems to already be in place. No matter what mods are released there, they will never make enough revenue to be viable for Valve to keep on the workshop, because they will bleed money on covering damage from whatever schemes the community makes up in retaliation.
Most importantly, the paywall is no match at all for piracy since there is no protection at all, legal or otherwise.
Valve made mistakes, and will likely admit this fully within a month or just whenever they can fully analyze their precious data.

I was referring to Valve/Bethesda.
ApachiiSkyHair and the Natural Retexture
None of those really match but ok.
So guys, it is late at night but I think I want to leave a gift before I go to sleep. I've been talking about this mod for a day or two now and only showed one or two works, so here is a few more. These are all works in progress and I am aware there might be some issues but hey fresh image content is fresh image content. Yes that is a lot of Imperial helmets and yes I am doing even more and yes the Stormcloaks will get new armor/helmets too.
Just wait...
It can get so much worse
Just imagine
You're walking about skyrim
burning children and chickens like normal
then suddenly BLAM
IN GAME POP-UP MESSAGE
"I see you're using the unpaid version of my mod, please concider subscribing to my mod on the steamworkshop :^)"
with only two button options:
[open steamoverlay to workshop]
[remind me in 10 mins game time]
That's how Midas Magic works. Every time you cast one of the five best spells in the mod, there's a 4 to 5% chance of a pop-up message appearing to remind you that you're using the mod for free.

Does anyone have a screencap of that happening? I want to see just how bad it is.
Looks like I can't play my level 50 main character anymore. It crashes every time I load a recent save.
By the way, I recommend downloading all of the Realistic Texture Overhaul files while you have the chance, the owner seems to have taken down the 8K Dragons and clouds files and paywalled it on the workshop.
Oh jesus, I never thought I'd somehow end up involved in this whole thing since I don't use the Steam Workshop.
I posted a long time ago about my More Dramatic Alduin retexture that I made. (It itself actually used textures from Deathwing Inspired Alduin which was pretty scummy of me at the time but I've since redid the textures from scratch and removed the previous versions). Well the Realistic Texture Overhaul fellow approached me and asked me if he could use my Alduin retexture in his dragon mod. I said sure.
He has not asked me if he could sell it on the Steam Workshop, however, and sure enough there's the Alduin in the images. Honestly I'm not even sure if I have a right to complain since the visual appearance of the glowy Alduin has gone through two iterations at this point.
On the other hand I was only informed of this via someone else sending me a PM about it today. If he didn't bother asking my permission for the textures, it is very possible he didn't ask Bellyache's permission, and their textures likely were used much more than mine.

Ask him to remove the mod off of the workshop if he's not willing to cut the profits between him and you, or else file a DMCA notice. This shouldn't be happening and you're getting fucked.

I wanna recreate my DD character in Skyrim
I'd try to recreate my Dragon's Dogma character, but I wouldn't risk going to lover's lab for a 'play as a 14 year old girl' mod and I doubt any of them have a missing eye or heavy scar textures. Also it just wouldn't be the same fighting dragons, them not being 100 feet tall and being able to climb on them to stab them right in their face.
So for some unknown to me reasons all the NPCs at whiterun stopped walking around the city. They just stay in their houses and the only ones outside are the guards, ysolda, the homeless and eorlund. This may have something to do with run for your lives/when vampires attack, but I have no idea on how to fix it. Does anyone know a solution?

Yeah, you'd need to uninstall Run for your Lives/When Vampires Attack, run a save cleaner, then reinstall the mods and everyone should pop back into normal behavior. I had the same thing happen to me.

Found an actually easier way to solve it, since it seems it happens because of wet&cold
for all people who use "wet & cold" and the people stay inside even with good weather.
here is how i fixed it:
go to menus => mods config => wet & cold => last tab => hit the box for "restart mod after exit menu" => use this in a city where the issues persist => should be solved !
Btw why should I use mod organizer over nmm? It does the job quite well.
What are some good joke mods?
I feel the need for a non-serious playthrough.

Does that rifle fire maces or what? :v: Because that'd be kind of kickass.
Did anyone see that Skyrim's user rating went from 98% to 88% in like 18 hours?

So, lets steer off the whole paid mods shit after its been going on for 22 pages, and lets discuss something else.
What do you guys think what the setting/plot etc of TES6 will be? I kind of want it to take place in the Summerset Isles, I want to hear the story of the great war etc from the perspective of the Thalmor.
