they all have really really pointy chins
Most old depictions of female beauty tend to feature small chins/cheeks and are normally a V shape face, male tend to feature wide square like jaws and large chins.
If you can stomach the arduous install process, FCOM: Convergence is a great Oblivion mod pack. It combines Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, Martigen's Monster Mod, Oblivion WarCry, and Francesco's Leveled Creatures-Items so they all work together.
edit: more up to date link from december 2014
It's worth all the trouble to get FCOM running. It's so good.
Morrowind with MCA maximum amount of spawns.
Fanatics, harmless.

uh ma'am are you aware that you have a dead animal hanging over your shoulders
I love Oblivion's artstyle, changing the NPCs' faces would ruin it for me.
Why are like 90% of the skyrim companion mods waifu shit? I thought Skyrim was meant to be about Vikings and Dragons and yelling at people.

The best part is that the description says she's actually a fox that got turned into a human. That's like me wearing a dead baby around my neck :v:
I don't think the NPCs of Oblivion were a conscious design decision and more a limitation of Bethesda's failing at making realistic-looking characters from procedurally generated faces using preset data.
None of the art really depicts anyone looking that stupid, so it's not a "style".
Whether it was intentional or a mistake, it doesn't really change that I like that corny, sometimes goofy look; it just works with the game I feel. Oblivion is a much more colorful and occasionally more lighthearted world than Skyrim or Morrowind, so I feel like the wonky faces aren't as out of place as other people may think.

Holy CRAP
So a few computers ago, I had a PC I'd play Morrowind on. The computer broke one day, and I could not recover anything from it. However, I actually happened on a website I dumped some of those really, really old screenshots on. I was bathing in nostalgia. I mean, look at that resolution.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/W3LCSUD.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/Mc7hu34.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/qlJ78Od.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/EZpLBHp.png[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/FPLJaQJ.png[/t]
that old resolution fits 18 times on my current resolution.
what a long way we've come in these ~13 years
love you lots, hugs n kisses
Dude, don't post these pictures without a download link, that armor is great.
Decided to do a shield mage playthrough. Currently trying to boost up enough levels to acquire Spellbreaker.

I just use vanilla followers. Kharjo and Teldryn are like the coolest dudes around.
And this is the only follower mod you'll ever need. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31533/? (takes the dog slot if you don't use any follower overhaul mods)

If you want a packmule I would suggest Dwarven Luggage over the Slave Reikling. It has near infinite carry weight, doesn't require Dragonborn, comes with its own teleport spell, can shoot lighting and heal you.
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18155/?
If you're just going for someone to carry your shit, then sure I guess, but the Riekling is an actual follower complete with decent enough voice acting and is also capable in a fight, so I'd definitely recommend it over the boring old mobile treasure chest if you want a proper follower. Or better yet, use both since they both fill slightly similar but different enough niches.
[editline]banana[/editline]
Also, Wak Wak is too fucking silly not to love.
Teldryn
Speaking of Teldryn, I don't understand why he's never brought up when we reach the "Followers are cardboard cutouts" part of the cycle of TES megathread. He's a talkative, interesting follower who doesn't get annoying fast like Serana, looks pretty badass with and without his helmet, has great voice acting, and decent dialogue. I joke about liking J'Zhargo the best because J'Zhargo is the most dangerously and irresponsibly chaotic neutral follower I can think of, but I have to honestly say Teldryn is the best vanilla follower, hands down.
edit:
Just encountered the Old Orc outside my house. He was surrounded by corpses of a sabre cat (as always), a bandit (I think that's normal), and a Vigilant of Stendarr (ok this is a little weird), and was in the middle of fighting a Dremora.
What are my mods doing now
Also he has an ebony battleaxe and full orcish armor and I'm level 6 so I'm just gonna leave him to it.
edit: I felt bad for him so I resurrected the Dremora for him to fight without my help. Even when I gave it 3000 health and it had an enchanted axe that made a fiery explosion with every hit, he still nearly won. What is this orc made of?
So I'm trying to mod Skyrim to be more, I dunno what to call it, light fantasy?
I want it to take it as far away from gritty greybrown scowlyness to something happier, lighter, and more adventurous in tone, like, I dunno, Shovel Knight, Oblivion, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, stuff like that. I also want to make it as RPGtastic as possible not just because that greatly helps the feel but also because Skyrim is practically ashamed to be an RPG, and that sucks. I like all the stats and little menus and effects and things like that from Oblivion and Morrowind and most other RPGs.
Any suggestions?
Should probably get the Tropical Skyrim mod or some colorful as fuck enb. Dunno bout making it more RPG like

Be aware that it had horrible performance for me, probably due to a LOT of grass.

For the first time since buying the game in 2011 I made it through the main quest far enough to see Alduin's Wall in Skyhaven Temple. [sp]Mmm that new ENB smell[/sp]

It's all downhill from there.
Playing Skyrim on PC I've noticed that if I run up on some Thalmor or Imperials escorting a prisoner and start a fight with them the prisoner will break out of his cuffs and join them in fighting me.
That, uh... That didn't happen on console. On console they'd either flee or try and fight the Thalmor/Imperials with me.
So what's up with that. Oh, and it's not a mod or anything, because it's happening on vanilla installs and installs with only patches as well.

But he's from Dragonborn? I'm surprised followers don't get more dialogue. I love Kharjo and all but all I get to know about him is that he travels with the caravans. I can't ask him shit about his past like you can with Serana.
But he's from Dragonborn?
I've been playing with the maximum number of mods lately, the DLCs are more vanilla than vanilla from my perspective.
I love how Morrowind 3.0 works with other mods that create small locations, such as houses. I've pretty much always used this mod when I play Morrowind (http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/33268/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fmorrowind%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D33268&pUp=1) and I like that 3.0 completely graphically updates it; even fixes one or two clipping errors.
So, this evening I arrived in Solitude to join the Imperial Legion and suddendly everyone approaches me as if I were a pile of shit
I mean, I'm level 22, a 100% Grey Beards approved Dragonborn, the slayer of Lord Harkon and champion of the Dawnguard, the slayer of Dragon Priest Morokei, the Archmage of Winterhold, the wielder of Dawnbreaker, the Thane of Whiterun and something else I can't remember at the moment
Yet those two fucking sisters can only bitch about my CLOTHES
