Why not use BOSS or LOOT?
loot usually does the job, yeah.
i go by importance. oblivion, dlcs, mods that are compatible with each other, extra shit (custom weapons/armor).

I never worked with a follower before because I prefer going solo but is gems okay for recommendations?

this was on gems but there was a massive controversy about it that I don't understand
First Dark Brotherhood assignment in my new game.

Fuck my life, Vampires killed the target as I walk into town.

Master Vampire my ass.
I'd go through the whole Dawnguard questline but the thought of doing the Forgotten Veil ever again is enough to shoot that idea down. Bored me to fucking tears walking about that waste.

Try Herman the Mad.

hoth
I though mining in Morrrowind would be like Skyrim where they didn't care if I took their ore.
I was horribly wrong.

Have you heard her voice acting? All follower mods are essentially the same so basically the only way to judge their quality anymore is by their voice acting and writing. And Vilja doesn't succeed in either of those fields.

I've never actually used it but it looks good

Might be a little awkward if you sided with the imperials though.
I feel like I should get an intimidation bonus just for my character looking like this

and this was before I became a Vampire.

Wearing a full set of Daedric armor gives you a passive 10% boost to intimidation.
Too bad you can't see your face unless you install a mod that adds open-faced helmets.
So someone told me that "An arrow to the knee" is a reference to being married. Apparently I've been murdering husbands this whole time!
Ouch. Boxes for sharing information. Tough crowd.

I don't think I've ever even owned a piece of Daedric armor
I usually get to Orchish and a couple of glass weapons then go "fuck it" because I don't invest in Smithing and all of that armor is stuff I've found.

Neat, someone finally did spears correctly.
Finally! Those javellins are ace! It needs to add immersive weapons support - I don't like the idea of having various spears of the same type.

The installation procedure is longer than usual, but at least it shits over "engine limitiations".

All I see is a blank white image.
jesus fuck
that's what happen when people think that realistic lighting = bright as fuck
Well then, what's the opinion on this image?

That's a screenshot from what the current Realistic Lighting clear weather looks like. Yes, it's bright as fuck with the sunlight, but the reason for this compared to real life snowy places is the angle of sun.
Nordic places, (I'm gonna use Ontario in winter since I live here) don't have a high noon. The highest the sun gets here in winter is ~9:30 - 10am sun angle at the most in-game. Compared to Skyrim, where the sun's highest point is straight up at ~1:15pm in-game time.
looks fine to me
On second thought, and a little bit of testing, I'm most likely going to turn the sunlight intensity down a little bit from 2.5 to 2.25
2.5

2.25

What do you guys think?
Bottom picture is definitely better
so I downloaded colourful magic because I planned on playing a mage then ended up playing a warrior instead because magic sucks
the spells are cool enough (but english isn't the mod creator's first language so a lot of the descriptions are pretty messy, not a major issue)
one version of the mod also adds loads of monsters around the map though. They're all ridiculously overpowered (I ran into 3 floating giant-ass skeletons in some meditating pose, they killed me in one fireball). They make for good boss fights I guess, but then you got the spider daedra.
nsfw
I know it's a mob from oblivion, but this is just unnerving. The human part doesn't move, it's just a motionless naked elf torso thing with massive hands. Why does it even have nipples?
Unless you read the mod page, there's no warning that you're about to face this monstrosity as you go through the cave, since the only enemies up until then were simple spiders, and you have to fight it alongside the giant spider that was the boss of the cave normally. Had to use console commands to kill it because there was no way I could put a dent in it otherwise.
sadly I'm too deep into this character to remove it without messing something up, probably.
yeah a lot of popular mods that claim to be lore friendly has some really weird things in it
take for example skyrim's monster mod
[t]http://i.imgur.com/slsJ710.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/9xxP9K0.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/iA75rrf.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/YtNdL2k.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/DsnY0Bx.jpg[/t]
like maybe because i've seen some shit but it really feels like the author intended these to be for sexlab but gave up on that idea halfway through and just made it randomly spawning mobs
And a lot of the monsters are ripped from games like the Witcher. So someone who has played those games will see alot of enemies from that which kills it for me.
So I was messing around with the ini and increasing the UGrids, as well as some other extenders and got the game's view distance looking pretty good.
