You barely had any fatigue, so you were doing like 1 damage per hit :v:
Well that's dumb. But it was more about how they kept doing that annoying force push.
Well that's dumb. But it was more about how they kept doing that annoying force push.
That's because you were low on fatigue, and when you go into negative fatigue your char ragdolls. because when Ice spells are used against you, they lower your fatigue, the ghosts were knocking you down like their momma told them to. A lot of Morrowind and Oblivion require you to read the manual before you played the game to get a grasp on the game's mechanics, as they come from that era of PC games where there were barely any tutorials in the games. Skyrim pretty much has everything in the game detailed as tutorial popups that pause the game to tell you stuff.
because when Ice spells are used against you, they lower your fatigue, the ghosts were knocking you down like their momma told them to.
Frost actually didn't do that until Skyrim, I think to try to make the different elements more distinct from each other, but the spells that ghosts have that do frost damage also do fatigue damage anyway
Oblivion portals: Cons: Tedious, repetitive, unpleasant to look at by design, took a good hour to finish even a small one, don't respawn, shit spawns around them and kills travelers, fucking hundreds of them Pros: unique level designs only found in portals, breaks up monotony of ruins, caves, and forts, unique enemies and alchemical ingredients. Dragons: Cons: Fly around going "tee hee you can't hit me" before finally landing and flying away again, repetative as shit, kill NPCs required for quests if they're outside, damage soaks Pros: Great loot, doesn't take TOO long to kill them, great visual design.
At least with Oblivion you were only required to go through 3 for the main quest and the rest could be ignored. Yeah most of the dragons are optional to fight in Skyrim too, but good like running away from a giant flying creature.
Skyrim pretty much has everything in the game detailed as tutorial popups that pause the game to tell you stuff.
Oblivion did that too.
Oblivion did that too.
Not nearly to the depth of gameplay that skyrim did. Oblivion doesn't really tell you the complete ins-and-outs of the gameplay mechanics, and only did so during the tutorial. Skyrim popped up tutorials for things that were relevant and the popups weren't restricted to the first quest tutorial. I don't remember Oblivion telling you that when you run out of fatigue and someone drains it you rag doll. There's a whole bunch more examples that I can't remember (and won't bother because I don't like the prison escape sequence in Oblivion. Skyrim pretty much tells you stuff when you needed it. I think it started with Fallout 3 and it's help menu.

I was pissed needless to say.
fuckin ghosts man
A video removed by the user pretty ghostly indeed boyo
I have 2 mods that sometimes spawn bandits or vigilant hunters in water, I'm just wondering if there are any mods that prevent this in one way or another Like would frostfall or w/e that immersion mod is called that makes you freeze to death solve this problem?
it's the wet bandits man it's immersive
It really frustrates me how blunt all the weapons are in oblivion. Especially with axes and the steel longsword; In fact, all the armor design in the game deters me from playing it. [t]http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130122181717/elderscrolls/pl/images/3/3f/Szklana_zbroja%28oblivion%29.png[/t]
and the fact that axes are LITERALLY CALLED BLUNT WEAPONS i scream every time only iron, town chainmail, leather, fur and steel armours looked good but those fine steel weapons are fucking great
Well nearly all the weapons in the game look like they are made of plastic so maybe that's not so far off.
Update on the NPC AI mod that one amazing guy is working on. They're both pretty long but totally worth a watch if you're interested in IMMERSIVE NPC behavior. The neatest thing is that it offers a scriptless replacement for the longstanding When Vampires Attack and Run For Your Lives, and the creator has claimed it's built with compatibility in mind.
they're cupholders
Is there a way in vanilla Oblivion to not have enchantment duration be pitifully short? Or am I going to have to make a mod that decreases the base cost of every enchantment in the game?
what the fuck is up with the tit armor on that second thumbnail
Unless my eyes are deceiving me that appears to be the vanilla steel plate armor. :v:
Well nearly all the weapons in the game look like they are made of plastic so maybe that's not so far off.
Not to mention swordplay in Oblivion has about as much finesse to it as slapping someone lightly with a dead fish. Seriously, the main reason I can't get into Oblivion is because the melee animations are the worst I've ever seen.
Unless my eyes are deceiving me that appears to be the vanilla steel plate armor. :v:
Well the armor in the video has some pancake tits or something...

Does anyone have a link to that skyrim mod that allows you to switch from one handed to two and vice versa ala Dark Souls?
Well the armor in the video has some pancake tits or something...
Must be the old lady version.

It's neat and all but is only really practical with a select few weapons. It tends to break a lot too, sometimes refusing to switch hands or placing weapons in the wrong slots, etc. [t]http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/538512254281099256/03C67A09C59E27E345E556FCB03881C090F33263/[/t] It's fun to mess with though.
I found a friendly skellyman [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/4m4epg.jpg[/t] Can I keep him? [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/d7CYah.jpg[/t]
whatever is going on under his hood in the second picture makes it look like he's made of bone colored carbon fiber

Helgen Reborn has got to be one of the best quest mods I've played so far. So far I've played Wyrmstooth and Falskar and this one takes the cake.
