Would the thalmor even bother dealing with the non-man races? I thought they only needed to wipe out worship of Talos and the 'human' races and then they can once again experience the joy of non-linear time or whatever, like getting a technological victory in a civ game, everyone else can just go piss off.
I think the Hist would present a problem, wouldn't they? They seem rather attached to their territory. Actually, maybe that's why the Argonians in Black Marsh are suddenly so militant; the Hist is preparing for invasion. Also the Dunmer beliefs are somewhat closer to those of humans, at least to the point where destroying Nirn is a no-no, which is enough that they might eventually take action. Other than that, the Thalmor have tricked the Khajiit into following them for the time being and it would be stupidly easy to crush them if needed, the Orsimer are too minor to be worth dealing with regardless of what they think, and I'm pretty sure Bosmer follow the same beliefs edit: also yeah what he said. The Thalmor are slightly toned down Elf Nazis. They don't go outright persecuting based on race, but they certainly consider everything up to and including a certain Aedra to be expendable lesser beings, and have no problem just murdering everyone if it suits their purposes.
But he's from Dragonborn? I'm surprised followers don't get more dialogue. I love Kharjo and all but all I get to know about him is that he travels with the caravans. I can't ask him shit about his past like you can with Serana.
Dl the mod that fixes the follower dialog.
Dl the mod that fixes the follower dialog.
there is no such mod I checked 8c The best you have is Follower Commentary Overhaul but that just makes followers of certain voice types belt out random banter while you're watching cut scenes. Actually I checked a little further and there is this abandoned Extended NPC Dialogue mod that adds a few more things to a few followers to say. It also, uh, adds fade-to-black nookie. Doesn't touch Teldryn or Kharjo though.
SexLab for prudes
Mjoll is staring and it's kinda creepy
That mod had me thinking--how come more people don't release follower mods with a lot of text only dialogue anyways? It seems like the only people who bother with adding special dialogue to their followers only do it if they have a voice actor, no matter how terrible. I'm really sure people wouldn't mind subtitles if there was interesting conversation to be had. Or at least I wouldn't.

In Morrowind you had a lot of conversations with Wikipedia style linking and this led into a lot of explanation about pretty much everything. It created very exploratory conversations, but no voice acting. Since Oblivion, NPC conversations are not nearly as exploratory in miscellaneously informative about subjects regarding the world around you because that would take a shitton of time to record voice acting for. So since Oblivion, all conversations have been stripped because every NPC now has voice acting. When it comes to Skyrim specifically, I feel like the UI doesn't even lend itself to a lot of text when it comes to NPC conversations, on top of the last fact that everything now has to be voice acted.
They'd be able to repel them from skyrim currently, but Ulfric isn't stupid. He's a veteran of that war and even with the strength of many provinces they still lost. He knows not to charge blindly, plus all the Humans hate Elfs, Dark Elfs hate Thalmor, and I'm not sure on the Argonian stance.
Ulfric probably wouldn't even try allying with the Dunmer and Argonians, I mean he treats them like shit in Winterhold. He'd probably think that the Nords can kick the Thalmor's ass on their own

In fact I remember there being a few popular companion mods for Oblivion that were all text only. But it just seems like the practice fell out of style altogether when Skyrim came around. I would love a silent companion if they had a shitload of dialogue options and a lot of things to "say".
The best part is that the description says she's actually a fox that got turned into a human. That's like me wearing a dead baby around my neck :v:
So... an Ahri ripoff?

It's a Bethesda game which can't handle more than 5 NPCs on your screen reliably, so any war quests can never really display a large scale battle.
In ESO they somehow managed to make the cities even more boring than they already were [t]http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/stg.ign.com/2014/03/riften_skyrim1.jpg[/t] [t]http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/stg.ign.com/2014/03/riften-eso1.jpg[/t]
I hate how empty the towns are
eso never fails to impress me with how utterly bland it looks it just looks so goddamn boring

That Riften screenshot literally looks like Skyrim's Riften.
When I started playing Skyrim, I thought that my light armor, stealth, sword and magic character would had sucked big time: you don't have any mean to block enemy attacks and levelling up the sneaking skills takes some time Thing is, after gaining some levels I think my idea for a character actually payed off: I have nice attack options at all ranges and I can attempt stealthy kills whenever I feel like it. Add to that my character wearing both Morokei and the Vampire Master armor, which give a huge boost in mana regen: I can basically use Healing non-stop and tank a full dragon's fire breath, among other things On a side note, today I took the Legion's oath. General Tullius welcomed me into the fold by eating a loaf of bread in front of me menacingly: [t]http://s23.postimg.org/u5yvmixtl/2015_01_17_00014.jpg[/t]
Oh shit it is Skyrim's Riften Whoops
Oh shit it is Skyrim's Riften Whoops
the top one is Skyrim the bottom one is ESO
The Fire and Ice mod is very silly. [t]http://i.imgur.com/TyX562D.jpg[/t] Looking to buy some hunting supplies?
His face is basically "Every fucking time!"
I hate how empty the towns are
Seems like a common thing in MMOs. I guess it's to fit big crowds of players? Not that it really matters, everyone crowds around bank NPCs and crafting stations anyway. A bit of claustrophobia in a town can make it feel bigger and less empty. Like, it was completely stupid to chop Windhelm into four quarters, but at least it copes a bit better with it because they're all walled off from eachother. Compare Riften, which looks tiny because you can see the bulk of the city from the main square.

I started up Dawnguard and rescued "Mysterious Woman", I'd accidently eaten too much food to regain health in a prior fight and my belly was rumbling. We left the podium and Gargoyles animated to attack, intending to use my Elemental Fury shout, I didn't realise an Ominous Rumble had filled my gut. I spent five seconds blasting Myserious Woman off the podium with my dovah-fart, I can't play anymore because I'm laughing too much.
I finally learned last week that there's more to Skyrim than just slaying bandits and finding gold. I got into the smithing business and must say that it's quite fun to pimp out your armor with upgrades. Also smithing your own and/or your companion's armor makes you feel more accomplished than just buying it. Obligatory pic of my Dwemer armor I forged and upgraded:

I managed to create a Skyrim which has seemingly infinite grass fields via optical illusion and which runs very well on my single GTX 770 4gb and stock i5 4670k together with some heavy ENB effects, tweaked ultra shadows and 4k parallax textures with 1920x1080 resolution. FPS is stable 34-48 everywhere without stuttering.[sp]Don't mind the blurry quality in the pics.[/sp]
