I miss Oblivion Dark Brotherhood.

Skyrim doesn't do it the same way and there's too much story at once. As soon as you get done with the first contact Astrid gives you, you find out you're the fucking chosen one. That's a total of 4 people dead, and the first three are literally just "go here and stab to death then bail." The only one of those even slightly annoying is Betilid because she's outside all day smelting shit or something.

There's like 20~ish quests in Oblivion for mainline DB quests, 14 for skyrim lol.

Oblivion's mage guild questline is equally good from what I've done. I haven't done much of it, but just the beginning of it requires you to go around from city to city getting a recommendation, each city having it's own individual quest, all of which are pretty varied. On your way without spoiling anything you're going to naturally learn magic spells as well as being taught quite a few, you're going to learn about the power and uses of enchanted items, you're going to go on some pretty rad adventures and pick up some cool shit along the way, you're going to learn some things about the Mages Guild, how the people in it behave, and just generally how things work, and you're gonna see some crazy shit and interesting, memorable characters. Tons of time, adventures, memorable characters, and personal character progression. You do this all just to get [I]access[/I] to the University. This beginning part, especially if you aren't using fast travel, [I]can probably take you longer than the [B]entire[/B] Skyrim Winterhold College questline.[/I] And on top of that, the Winterhold College has a few memorable characters, just a few memorable students unlike Oblivion's several, and most of the questline from what I remember is just you fucking around in dungeons with draugr. If I wanted to fuck around in dungeons with draugr, I would play the rest of the game.

Skyrim factions suck, no two ways about it. More like theme park rides, the bunch of them. Which ~FOR SOME REASON~ is a simile I find can be applied to almost everything in Skyrim.

I don't know how to get rid of the black bars yet but when I got it working I was too excited to care, everything is beautiful, these mods go hand in hand:

that's basically what I use to change the game's aesthetics, you can also customize the ENBsettings and make your game look like however you want. My game doesn't drop beneath 60 fps when I'm walking outside! I hope it works out for you if you try these. It's recommended these mods work better on ~high - ultra, I play mine on ultra

I figured it out! To get rid of the black box for anybody else wanting to use this stuff:

Open enbeffects.fx with Notepad and find the line: float2 sqvigpwr = float2( 1.8, 1.8 )
Change the numbers to 0 just like ( 0.0, 0.0 ) and save.

I bought the retail version a long time ago, and it works but it's in polish so mods crash my game.

p.s you can get rid of the black bars in game with ENBseries. hit shift + enter and you can roll through all the settings for ENBseries in real-time. i think it works the same way for both oblivion and skyrim.

Well Morrowind is mostly text dialogue, the rest is mainly Dark Elves yelling "Die Fetcher!"
I don't think there are any parts of Skyrim that don't have spoken dialogue.

male dunmer npcs alone have several hundred lines of contextual greetings based on disposition, gender, race, if the player has a disease, bounty, if the npc is a merchant, etc etc. There are special reaction lines to werewolves and vampires, theft, and then there's idle dialogue (even some of these are contextual) the rest is the occasional plot related greeting

other races typically have around 230 lines per gender

probably don't hear them much in the course of bread and butter gameplay is why, but if your character has elder scrolls ebola and they see an apothecary in an unsympathetic faction he'll tell you he hopes you drop dead before you buy a cure

almost every month like clock work i have (or rather had) to do this

to save time
once you have re-downloaded it, make a copy of the whole folder and keep it somewhere else
that way if you are like me and have terribly slow internet speed you can delete your copy and re-paste it again without wasting time through steam

most normal boobplate armour covers that up
and any bikini armour is designed to show off normal breasts
