I got it running again. Exiting stream and re-entering seemed to do the trick for some reason.

Is cloaks of skyrim worth getting?
Is cloaks of skyrim worth getting?
They're pretty neat but they get boring after a while. Idk if you think your character needs a cape then get it
cloaks of skyrim needs cape physics
Any tips on keeping my interest in Oblivion? I should have bought Oblivion long before Skyrim. Having Skyrim being my first Elder Scrolls game before any else really just makes Oblivion feel very rough.

Decided to give Oblivion a try again. Saw a random woman and a guard continuously telling each other about the chapel in Anvil, then reacting as if they'd never head it before. The early 2000's sound like they were a wacky time for gaming.
Install an experience overhaul mod that prevents you from worrying about getting the perfect character
Where can I find one? Could you or someone link it here please or link it in my User Page comments?
Hey can anyone link me to the mod that finally adds spears properly into the game? I want to do a shield/spear character.

is there a compatibility patch for snooki's spears and immersive weapons

For not having to worry about spreadsheet levelling in oblivion is this mod recommended? http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/35333/? [editline]2nd March 2015[/editline] On another note which form of archive invalidation should i use for oblivion?

TBH I'd rather keep the vanilla leveling and recommend this mod instead, which pretty much removes the need to plan out what skills to level per level. http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/2691 It basically makes the attribute selection in the level up menu all have + 5
If it took 5 seconds then why are you complaining? Thanks anyways I guess.
you rude fuck.
Didn't mean to come off rude, just dont get why a comment like that is necessary? I asked for help politely and what point did he need to make saying it took him 5 seconds? Honestly it came off as condescending.
So I was getting a consistent crash around the Riverwood area after thinking I fixed it, and for three days I tried everything trying to get things to work. Fiddled with ENB and SMSE settings, trimmed down mods, fought with scripts, shrunk texture files, the works. Find out it was actually SkyTEST. Removed it, the crash stopped. And wouldn't you know it, I found in a reddit thread somewhere that it turns out a number of people using SkyTEST were having crashes in the exact same place, only the author deleted all comments referring to the CTD, so things weren't popping up when I was searching for a solution. Nice going, asshole. The good news is because of all my fiddling, my game now runs so smooth I might as well have padded it in velvet and covered it with grease. I guess that's really the problem with Skyrim's leveling system, though. If a mod added something fucked up but the fucked up thing only appears when you're level forty, fucking hours into the game, then your immediate reaction is 'But I've been playing with this mod the entire time! And nothing bad's happened before!' Oh well.
I think I would be willing to go back and replay Oblivion if it had the exact same leveling and perk system as Skyrim. This shit is too confusing for me, vanilla or otherwise.
I think I would be willing to go back and replay Oblivion if it had the exact same leveling and perk system as Skyrim. This shit is too confusing for me, vanilla or otherwise.
this is what you need http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/15619/? here's a slightly altered version http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/35333/? basically, you pick your skills and stars n shit at the start of the game, but you now receive xp from kills/quests/etc. that go towards level progression, and when you level up you can upgrade your individual skills and attributes, it makes it a thousand times easier. oh, you still have to sleep to level up btw. PS - add this into the OP if it's not already there, this is basically a required mod for replaying oblivion.
http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/13879/?
What's the benefit of this over Oblivion XP? [editline]3rd March 2015[/editline] The problem with oblivions levelling system is the enemy scaling as opposed to Morrowind where areas are set levels, Oblivions areas level with you meaning if you fuck up you're fucked. whereas in Morrowind if you stick at one area level up then go back to the area you had trouble with as long as you were higher level it was simple.
What's the benefit of this over Oblivion XP?
Oblivion XP uses a system more like Fallout, where you gain experience when you do stuff and raise your skills when you level up. Realistic Leveling is more like a tweak of the original system. I'll add both to the OP in the Gameplay section. EDIT: for the leveling stuff you usually have to use an overhaul. Francesco's Mod fixes the original leveling and adds a lot of stuff. OOO (Oblivion Oscuro Overhaul) has fixed leveling depending on the areas. There are a lot of overhauls, even FCOM that mixes a good bunch of overhauls into a fucking atrocius to install overhaul galore. It has a fuckton of stuff however.
So apparently Bethesda haven't quite stopped updating Skyrim and the Creation Kit.
Creation Kit 1.9.33 Update Creation Kit now supports unlimited file sizes for mods on the Steam Workshop. The Preview Image is limited to no larger than 1 MB. Skyrim Launcher The Skyrim Launcher no longer downloads mods from Steam Workshop. Downloads are now managed by the Steam Client. The Skyrim Launcher updates the game after the Steam Client finishes the download.
Both updates are only in beta currently, but I guess they won't take too long to be released properly.
Huh, weird time for an update. I thought they said they were done.
