Huh, weird time for an update. I thought they said they were done.
They're done with Skyrim updates, they're just changing the file size limit of mods for workshop to unlimited and making the steam client download the mods instead of the skyrim launcher.
All done probably due to popular demand on SPUF

Thank god for the Steam Client downloading it instead of the launcher, it's been broken for me since ever.
Wonder if it can be enabled through NMM or something like that.

Bout time the removed the file size limit. I think that was the only thing that kept turning people off from it. No one wants to download 10 mods to get one armor set mod.
Didn't mean to come off rude, just dont get why a comment like that is necessary? I asked for help politely and what point did he need to make saying it took him 5 seconds?
Honestly it came off as condescending.
It means you could have googled it yourself easily. Wasting 5 seconds is still wasting some person's 5 seconds.

who cares its a google search
Too bad they haven't fixed rendering issues in Creation Kit. After running the first time, the cloud textures get weird and the stars stop showing up until I delete and regenerate the ini files for the CK.
Googling hasn't prove useful for a fix yet.
Skyrim Launcher
The Skyrim Launcher no longer downloads mods from Steam Workshop. Downloads are now managed by the Steam Client. The Skyrim Launcher updates the game after the Steam Client finishes the download.
Damn, I was actually relying on workshop updates only being handled by the launcher. Meant I could run the launcher through MO and separate workshop shit into a mod.
Wonder if you can disable automatic workshop updates through the Steam client.
If it took 5 seconds then why are you complaining?
Thanks anyways I guess.
Wow.
Never helping your lazy ass again, then.

What's the secret to getting OBSE 21 to work? I've got it installed in the right folder, I'm launching it through Steam [sp]not that there's another way[/sp], and Steam Community is enabled ingame, but it never loads up. I can't play TES games without first-person bodies anymore. :c
[sp]Also, is there a secret to not crashing when you quit the game? I'd really like it if my settings would save for once.[/sp]

Problematic if OBSE refuses to work in the first place.

On the OBSE site did you download both the main file and the latest loader?

Sometimes you get some decent stuff even from the Nexus:

But then you land back to reality:

It looks like a nasty allergic reaction.

A lot of them are ripped straight from mods for other games, especially the Sims. Hence, they are in fact meant for spoiled suburban teens who don't like it when you delete all the ladders in the swimming pool.
On the OBSE site did you download both the main file and the latest loader?
I did, although the loader doesn't work since I have Oblivion on Steam. I get an application load error 5:numbers whenever I try to load the game without Steam.

That's because the vanilla Oblivion Launcher from the Steam version should actually sideload the script extender. Do you have a obse.log in your Oblivion folder?

Yup. It says it loaded, but it says it's version 17.4 in the log file...I'll screw around with it some more when I'm home.

The version is wrong, the first line should be:
OBSE: initialize (version = 21.4 010201A0)

Mustache is glorious vanilla.
I'm pretty sure the wrong version is because I tried using a loader I found through the Steam forums that was supposed to be a [sp]no longer necessary but you never know[/sp] workaround for OBSE and Steam. I don't think it's the original cause of the problem since it was an attempt to fix it and therefore I already had the problem, but I do have a gloriously terrible memory and tendency to imagine problems so I guess we'll find out later.
Got OBSE working. As a reward for your efforts, have screenshots. [sp]there's more I want to post but I had a wild night of TESing a while ago and don't want to flood the thread[/sp]

Question. How good is ESO right now?
I'm kinda interested in grabbing it, but only after the sub thing is dropped, and when the game goes on sale for at least $30.
Funny story, I buy ESO to play with a friend and I get from Amazon and it's 45$ not that bad. Go through installing the game and turns out using the disc doesn't install the game but the launcher for it. Makes total fucking sense. So after waiting about a day and a half because of slow DSL I begin to play and it's not so bad really. Today they have a patch for and guess how big it is? 1 gigs,2,3,4,5? No it's 30 fuckings gigs for a patch. If you actually down above a megabyte a second this should be much a of problem, but having shitty Alabama DSL like I have I usually download between 100-340 kb/s and the rain causes my connection to go out at times. I'm literally reinstalling the game because they do not know how to make a fucking patch.
[editline]3rd March 2015[/editline]
Seriously I honestly cannot be more pissed off over something like this. Redownloading the fucking game? My ESO folder is already TWICE as big as my Dragon Age Inquisition folder.

It's just as bad if you download it through Steam. A delightful 45 GB download, followed by 4 hours of downloading updates at a fairly steady 2 MB/s.
[sp]it's good though, I haven't seen what's in this update but I assume it's the one adding the Justice system if it's that big so hopefully I can play as a true kleptomaniac cat-stoner now[/sp]
By the way, don't know if you're all already aware, but there's /dance and /dance[racenamehere] emotes for race-specific dances, which is pretty nice. Dunmer dancing is definitely the best one, fits really well.

edit: I've now actually watched that video and should note I'm pretty sure that music does not play with the dances, though I do play with music off
The main difference is you downloading at a 2 mb/s a second and mine going from 100-200-300-20-150 and not more than 350 kb/s a second. Something that'd take 4 hours to DL at 2 mb/s take about 15+ for me.
