So I went and check them ESO patchnotes.
Assault and Murder
You can now directly attack and kill most citizens of Tamriel. Once you have committed murder, you will be able to loot an item from the victim’s corpse.
Note that you may not get an item from a murdered NPC every time. This is dependent on your level, and if the NPC has anything in their pockets.
Yes. Let the massacre of Tamriel commence.

That wasn't part of it since the beginning?
That wasn't part of it since the beginning?
Unfortunately not, in terms of crime it was standard MMO "Take whatever you want, the god-like ultra-citizens don't care" before. Now there's bounties, murder, pickpocket, civilians who aren't gods with brains of stone, all that good stuff.
So I tried to clear up some space on my computer by deleting the zips for the mods I'd already installed via NMM, then NMM throws a hissy fit and won't let me use it with Skyrim unless I uninstall all of the mods that are missing zips. What is that bullshit?
What is that bullshit?
NMM.
Less facetiously, NMM is noted for being very rigid in how it manages mods; you do it exactly as it wants you to, or else.
Turns out the unofficial skyrim patch screws with you being able to buy breezehome. Nice patch 11/10

What happens? It worked fine for me.
I made quite a few mods for Morrowind back in the day, so I'm pretty familiar with modding the game. While I haven't yet made any mods for Skyrim it's not too difficult modding that game. However, I've actually never modded Oblivion. Going to begin now with a graphical overhaul, wish me luck.
It's just as bad if you download it through Steam. A delightful 45 GB download, followed by 4 hours of downloading updates at a fairly steady 2 MB/s.
[sp]it's good though, I haven't seen what's in this update but I assume it's the one adding the Justice system if it's that big so hopefully I can play as a true kleptomaniac cat-stoner now[/sp]
By the way, don't know if you're all already aware, but there's /dance and /dance[racenamehere] emotes for race-specific dances, which is pretty nice. Dunmer dancing is definitely the best one, fits really well.

edit: I've now actually watched that video and should note I'm pretty sure that music does not play with the dances, though I do play with music off
SUPER disappointed that the Nord dance didn't involve either beating something to death or anti-elven racism.
Also, those animations are incredibly stiff, did they just get some poor intern to throw 'em together on his lunchbreak or something?
What happens? It worked fine for me.
So I was trying to buy Breezehome, see? And Proventus was like "here's the key, bitch!" only he wouldn't take my money and wouldn't give me the key. I uninstalled the mod and it worked fine. Thinking that was the only issue I re-installed the mod.... Nope! Nah, son! I was wrong! Same thing happened with the decorations. And Proventus was just standing there. Smiling. He knew what was up but wouldn't tell me. Proventus? More like PREVENT US (from buying property.)
Anyway yeah, it worked out without the mod.

To be fair, they're animations you'll almost never see (only time people use emotes is if someone else uses an emote, most players in the game are either busy or arguing politics/lore in the chat) in a game full of plenty of other more important things to polish. Also the recent update smoothed out animations among other things, I think it might've changed the dances a bit (though I'm not sure because I still have 53mb left to download and that's only 20% done updating so I'm far from seeing the changes).
Seriously, do not get this game if bandwidth is a problem, it will mess you up.

Breezehome is the worst home anyway. The manor in Solitude is easily the best player home.

Oh, so they made it more like a TES game?
Breezehome is the worst home anyway. The manor in Solitude is easily the best player home.
But Breezehome is cheap as fuck (in home-buying terms) and has a marketplace and shops 50 feet from it.
Solitude's costs some fucking cash, yo.
yeah i was still at a point in the game where 5000 is a lot of gold.
never?
Breezehome is the worst home anyway. Lakeview Manor is easily the best player home.
ftfy
never?
Um, I dunno about you but I don't use a mod that gives you thousands of gold as soon as you escape Helgen.
you don't need to buy anything at all until you get to the point where it's ridiculously easy to get 5k gold. even easier if you just start picking anything remotely valuable up from the get-go
the game hands everything to you in pretty obvious spots before you need to spend anything to progress beyond the base kit
how to get fast cash in skyrim
- raid dungeons
- collect items that cost at least 100 septims
- sell to benethor in whiterun
loadsamoney
Come to think of it, I liked that certain activities in Oblivion were profitable, like you could hunt vampires, take their dust and sell it to a certain guy for a nice 250g. I don't think skyrim has a lot of that.
I wish the economy was much more hardassed in Skyrim. Even with mods making everything from fast travel, to inns and basic items much more expensive to buy and cheap to sell, and a self imposed promise not to strip down all the dead people I find and sell their valuable clothes, I'm still walking around with thousands of septims in my pockets and nothing to spend it on unless I feel like buying every house available.
It makes stealing a big joke, really. There's never any temptation to steal things unless it's an otherwise unobtainable item. Otherwise you just steal because you're playing a thiefy character.
I want the game world to be harsh, and for you to have to resist breaking the law goddamn it.
Breezehome is the worst home anyway. The manor in Solitude is easily the best player home.
ex-fucking-cuse me?
Breezehome is cozy as fuck, in the best city, right next door to the market
and with a breezehome remodeled mod it becomes easily the best home.
worst home my arse.

- Go North West of Whiterun
- Get the Transmute Spell Book
- Mine/buy ore, transform 'em to gold or silver
- make millions of rings
- enchant 'em with basic crap
- Sell it to almost every merchant
- Why Can't I Hold All These Jewelry
There's also the potions nobody ever really uses.
Step 1.) Collect flowers and shit in your travels
Step 2.) Find an apothecary's shop
Step 3.) Do some alchemy there
Step 4.) Sell all that shit and repeat
Ups your alchemy skill and makes you some free easy gold
And all the armor and weapons bandits drop.
[editline]4th March 2015[/editline]
The Black Star plus bandits camps are basically free money.

On a side note, also helps grind Enchanting, for fire sword fun times!
It's way too easy to make money in Skyrim.
I like the way Oblivion handled rewards better. "You just stopped some ancient evil guy from becoming powerful and taking over the world? Here's 20 gold!" Even getting the first home in Oblivion felt like a huge accomplishment for me.
But in Skyrim it's, "You made that bard shut up? Here's my life savings!"

You just said the problem right there. It's weird yeah, but even then do you want to know how much money and supplies are needed to simple upgrade Lakeview all the way? along with potions and armors and crafting gear?

In other news, I'm pretty sure updating ESO is supposed to represent the kalpic cycle or something. Fairly certain it ends with Alduin consuming the universe.
